Great job. Those bags are much nicer than the ones i found. Although I also got a great deal on bags through Amazon at $2.50 each and they are huge! I also don't know about transporting all of these things... since I may have about 100 people. I am not sure if i should pass them out before we go.

Same here. We're going to City Hall in Chicago and not mentioning it to the guests. I dont want to wait until the AHR to make it legal, but I do think that's also a great idea.

Sunita, Which did you end up choosing? I looked into Del Sol, but they are super duper pricey. In Chicago i could get a great photographer for $3,000 - $4,000, so it seems crazy that they are charging more than that. I thought Michael Maurus's site (cancun-weddings) looked good, but I just saw a post from a very unhappy bride. I only need a photog for a few hours and would love someone great and afforable. (don't we all?)

I saw a link one one of the Cancun wedding planners sites about different ceremonies, but can't find it. I think we are going to go to the courthouse here in Chicago to make it easier and do a simple ceremony with a rev in Mx. This way we could make it the way we want it. But I don't know what I want... if you have any ideas we could share. I wonder if there is another post on here already for vows, etc. I don't see why you couldn't add whatever you want this way you know what you are getting

Love it. LOVE the flower on the top also. I also would not change a thing! Because there is a lot "going on" on the bottom of the dress, the flower ties it together. You could still wear a flower in your hair.. you have such a cute hair cut.. some great shoes and you are done. YOu have a great figure, so i'm sure you look good in almost anything.

I found some inexpensive bags on Amazon, but i really like the idea of the heat transfer with our logo. I checked this site and it's $25 per bag which is $20 more than the bags i found. But you got such a great deal. Any ideas where to get the canvas bag with colored straps? I'm looking for lime green.

Wow. I love all of these ideas, but concerned about traveling down with so much stuff. Do you think I could get away with ordering the bags and Koozies here and making a stop at Sams club in Playa Del Carmen for the other items?? Has anyone else done this?

What was the polish on the toes? I am considering lime green on mine to match the decor and to be fun... any thoughts? would I regret that These lists are so helpful as I consider things such as wedding cake, DJ/band, etc. Awesome.

Wow... either you are really good, or I'm way behind. I'm getting married 5.29.2010. I have sent my STD's and have created a website with the main info. I don't have a travel agent, but I do know my ceremony and reception location. That's it! Bags, dress, etc... girl! I feel like a bum now. I think I'll start to look for a dress in a couple of weeks. I have a lot to do. I have an RSVP tab on my site and have only 28 responses so far. But not one is from the Groom's side. I don't think they have computers or something. So i have no idea who is coming. I think i'll send an email in a couple of weeks.

Elena, I am getting married in Riviera Maya in May - in Akumal. I just sent out 83 Save the dates and most of them are couples.. In Akumal there are a lot of small places to stay and awesome villas to rent. Also, Playa Del Carmen has smaller hotels you could rent out as well. Have fun searching. Oh, and my friend had their wedding at Ceiba del Mar which is gorgeous. It's all inclusive, but not huge at all. You may want to look at that if you are into the resort thing but don't want Large resort. contact me if i can help at all. I'm in beginning stages myself and we also have a large group planning on joining us. it's going to be a blast! Congrats to you.

I just completed mine also. I felt I was running out of time, so I opted not to do the ticket jacket. I mailed a STD boarding pass with a letter on a beach-themed stationary (idea I got from MarieSam's post. thanks!! She has been a huge help!) So, even though mine seemed so simple to me (after seeing the most creative and inspiring STD's on here) ... all of my guests loved them! I received so many calls and emails telling me how adorable they were. I'll try to get a pic posted soon. i need more posts first. ) Thanks to all of you for the ispiration and help. My FI helped a ton with the cutting and printing, so it was not so bad. And I asked him to help edit my letter too, thank goodness!

My friend jaime can work with editing and creating a nice albumn for you from the disc he provided. She's done this for others who have had similar experiences. another friend just got married in June and used Michael and didn't say anything bad, but they also don't have their pics yet either. I was considering using him for a few hours since my friend will be doing most of our pics. But since she is in the wedding i still need another photographer. email me if you want her website and contact info. right now she is pretty busy with 2 weddings each weekend, but soon she will have time to dedicate to projects like this. those photos are almost comical with the arms up in the air. I hope you have some nice pics for your album

thanks for the great ideas. I also heard from a friend a similar idea, but with a photo card that was pretty cute. the problem is that I am not a big picture taker. The girl i'm asking to be my maid of honor is the professional wedding photographer, so she is the one with all of the pics!

I chose NOT to do a resort at all. And I decided not to marry on the beach (so far... nothing has been officially booked)> My concern is the wind. I dont want my guests to not be able to hear our vows. Have you seen other wedding pictures you LOVE? That's where I would suggest you begin. That, and what sort of resort will you feel most comfortable in? My friend just got married at Ceiba Del Mar which is a small and lovely resort. You may want to check that!! Oh, and they have specific Destination wedding mags too! good luck. big decision... difficult.

Contact Melisa. She knows Tulum!! It's amazing there and there are places for every budget. however PV and the Riviera Maya areas are so different! If you have your heart set on PV or surrounding areas you may want to change your date or go with it. Also, have you been to Sayulita outside of PV? Either way, you will have an amazing wedding!
