My session is costing me $550 but that includes over 300 images, 3 different looks, a coffee table book and hair and makeup so I thought that was a pretty good deal!! -
Laur13- I was told that the BBQ deluxe is served buffet style where your guests would go up and get their own food. I am having this as well. Also, I am having my rehearsal dinner at El Cocotal and Valeria suggested that i do table runners and votive centerpieces for decoration for this dinner.

Here is my template that I am using. I still havent fully decided how I am going to attach them to the raffia fans but I am probably going to use ribbon like on this website. Hope this helps!! BagLover21 - I asked Valeria the question about whether the ceremony was in English too. She said that it was but that the civil ceremony was performed in Spanish with a translator. Hope this helps!

I know exactly how you feel except mine is with my mom and dad. I am super close with my mom but only recently have gotten to know my dad. I was very scared to tell my dad that I wanted both of them to walk me down the aisle because he is not a fan of my mom (and vice versa) and I think he feels like it is his job to walk me down but I told him that both of them were going to be walking me down the aisle because it is my wedding and it is what I want. Both of them seem to be okay with it so hopefully it will all work out! Good luck!

Hi May Brides! I am not new to this forum but I have never posted on this thread so I thought I would say hello to my fellow May Brides! My FI and I are getting married at the El Dorado Royale May 7, 2010 and I sent out Save the Dates back in October with a letter stating that everyone had to be booked by November 30th or we would lose our group rate (it wasnt actually true, I just told them that) and I now have 34 people booked!! I really do think you have to bug them but be nice about it!! Anyway, I hope you guys are having a good week and good luck with your guests!!!

My FI and all of his groomsmen are wearing this suit: Stephen Geoffrey Alfresco Tuxedo - by Jim's Formal Wear But, they can take off their jackets and they are wearing short sleeve white linen or cotton shirts underneath! -
My FI and I are having about 35 people join us for our wedding in Riviera Maya in May. We are also having a private reception and are giving out OOT bags but we wanted to do something extra so we are paying for everyone to go on a 2 hour sunset cruise the evening after our wedding. We are chartering a catamaran through cancun catamarans and we got a pretty good deal. It is going to be under $1000 to take our guests on a 2 hour sail with an open bar, snacks and transportation to and from the pier.

Hi Ladies! I am getting married on May 7, 2010 at the EDR and just sent Valeria a list of all the extras (and yes, they definately add up)! She is charging us $150 set up fee because we are bringing our own decorations and centrepieces for the private reception that we are doing. It is still cheaper than renting stuff from them. We are bringing our own flowers (real touch) for our bouquets! If you guys have any questions, I might be able to answer some of them as I have been working with Valeria for quite a while now!! AllisonMPLS - I will see you there! We are leaving on the 12th!

Bringing a Photographer from the States

We are bringing in a photog from the US to our Mexican wedding as well and since the photographer is staying with us for 3 nights at the resort, our WC said that he doesnt need a work visa. We are just pretending he is a guest! -
Hi Ladies! My FI and I actually tied the knot legally on Dec.4 and our wedding isnt until May 7, 2010. We invited my mom and his mom and a couple of close friends and then all went out to dinner! It was very nice and I dont feel like it takes anything away from our May wedding! We have actually told a lot of our guests that we are legally married and none of them have acted mad or anything! They are still coming to Mexico and we are counting the Mexico wedding as our official wedding day!
