Hi Ladies! I just got back from Target and they have all kinds of mini "For Dummies" books in the $1 bins. I bought "Cocktails for Dummies" but they also have "Spanish Phrases for Dummies" and a couple of others. I am using them for my OOT bags! Just thought I'd let you know!!!

I would not worry!! I am getting married May 7 and I still have two of my bridesmaids who have not booked! I gave everyone a deadline of November 30th to book in order to get the special rate and I think that scared my guests because I got like 10 rooms booked that week! I wouldn't worry but you may have to start calling everyone and letting them know that you might lose that rate if they dont book! Hang in there!!

I will ask him about the English speaking thing because I am definately concerned about that as well! I will also ask him when he will arrive at our reception site and how much time he will need to set up! Great questions ladies! Talk to you soon!

Hi Ladies! I am going to be meeting with DJ DoreMixx when I do my site visit in a couple of weeks. I plan on giving him our list of songs then and making sure that he will play all of them. Are there any other concerns that anyone has that you want me to address with him since I am meeting him in person??

I am getting married at the El Dorado Royale in May 2010 and I was very frustrated with the outside vendor policy but I decided to bring a photographer from the states and pay for him to stay for 3 nights. I am going to do a site visit in a couple of weeks and am meeting with Valeria from Lomas Travel (wedding coordinator for Karisma). You better believe I will be discussing this with her because I want to use an outside DJ and dont want to pay the $500 vendor fee for him so I will let you ladies know what I find out.

I have also just booked DJ Doremixx for my May 7, 2010 wedding! He is wonderful and very responsive! I just sent him my deposit yesterday! He seems to be very on top of things and has asked us for a list of songs that we want played. He quoted me $650 for four hours but it includes a lot of stuff including cold fireworks which will look cool in pictures!

Hello Everyone!! I have been browsing this forum for quite some time but just got engaged last week! We are now trying to plan a destination wedding for early May 2010, which I know is only 7 months away!! Ugh! I hope we can do it! My FI and I are working with destinationweddings.com but am also doing some researching ourselves just in case we can find a better deal! We are looking for an adults only (preferably) AI Resort and I think we've narrowed it down to the following resorts in Cancun / Riviera Maya: Secrets Capri RIU Palace Aventura Spa Palace El Dorado I feel like i am on information overload! I have reading reviews / threads on each and have printed out info from their websites but am having a really hard time deciding which one to go with! Any advice / encouragement seasoned brides can give me would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks Brides!!! Amanda
