  1. Well at least im not alone on this, I love how my dress looks on me but I think I want to add more detail to make it stand out more.
  2. I was planning on something simple too then some how it became an extravaganza lol. We will also have a seated dinner, open martini, wine, beer and signature drink bar.
  3. I am not expecting many people to come to my DW so we thought a wecolme home Mr. & Mrs. party would be a good idea.
  4. Sounds pretty formal to me Robin. How soon after your DW wedding is your reception. I chose to do mine at a historical mansion about 100 to 150 guest and its exactly 7 days after the wedding so I dont have much down time, I just wanted to get it all over with so we can focus on buying our first home, so next year will be super busy for me.
  5. Is it just me or do others second guess their dress choice? I love my dress but then I see so many other lovely dresses and it makes me wonder if I chose my dress to soon?
  6. Anyone else having a formal reception, seems like everyone but me is having a casual AHR. There is hardly any planning involve with my wedding, all my focus is on my AHR, anyone else in my boat?
  7. Thanks so much ladies you words have really been helpful.
  8. Hello brides, I have been searching the forum and I havent run across a thread with examples of different travel accommodations wording as a insert in the invitation. If anyone has any suggest I would greatly appreciate them.
  9. I work for federal law enforcement and Cuba is still listed as a hostile country so even if you were to travel there we very cautious and I wouldnt do much venturing away from the resort.
  10. Is there anyone who is having a wedding with just the bride and groom, NO GUEST? Maybe its just stress but I am seriously considering just having a private ceremony on the beach with out the guest. Im getting tired of worrying about who can afford to attend and who cant. I want three bridesmaids but my fiance's friends cant afford to go so that means I have no one to escort my bridesmaids. Its just all beginning to be too much.
  11. I am having a july 2010 wedding and since the rates are now available and the economy is so bad I am sending out my wedding invitations in two weeks, I want to give my guest ample time to pay for there trip. I am also having an reception when I return and those invitations will go out the end of May 2010.
  12. Im getting married July 23, 2010 and the ATH reception is July 30, 2010. I just wanted to get it all out of the way so we can focus on buying our first home.
  13. I will also be wearing my wedding dress because we have to do the first dance and the garter and bouquet will be thrown, its going to be a formal dinner reception, open bar, 150 guest.
  14. Hello Brides, I was just wondering am I the only person that is having two wedding receptions? I have a very large family and all of them wont be able to come to our wedding in Arua. So I decided that the best thing to do would be to have a second reception when we return. So I have double work, The reception here will have about 150 guest, we return on a tuesday and the reception is that friday evening. We will probably have about 20 guest in Aruba. Anyone else with this situation?
