  1. Congrats on your wedding Jessica! Show some pics!! Dana- sorry I'm no help w this- I have no idea where to look Hey guys- I know that there is free wifi in the lobby- but does anyone know if it's in the rooms for a fee? FI has been wondering...
  2. Aw, 4 year old triplets!? How freaking adorable. Yeah, I'll pick them up today. PM me your addy. I was thinking the same thing. I was worried how the little ones were going to fare through the ceremony- so I figure they can just sit and play in the sand with their pails!
  3. My proof pics are here!!!! Ok, I have to admit, if this weren't my TTD, I would be disappointed. I originally tried on for the wedding Maggie Sottero 'Reese'. I ended up falling in love with a different dress, so I thought I would have this one made for TTD. The beading on the original is gorgeous- but I guess that is also why the original was $900---- I emailed gianini to tell them the obvious imperfections of this one (back is uneven, I'm guessing it's just not finished yet- detail on front left is not the same as front right- detail down the front is a little crooked) So I'm excited to see what it looks like in person- and on me!

I try to explain this to FI all the time- I will send something back if I'm 'cheating' and it's not exactly how I want it. I'm wasting those calories dammit, and I want my food how I ordered it! haha Quote: Originally Posted by bikegirl It's so much easier to be healthy during the work week for me. We are all here for encouragement and support- I didn't really have any of that the first 20 lbs lost- and it took me a very long time! Chin up- you are a gorgeous woman- and it's obvious that your FI thinks the same no matter what that number is (even though I know that the weight loss is to make you feel better!) Fitting into them slowly is fantastic.
  5. Thanks Jen! Yes- I know for sure they have them at Ikea- they don't have the flowers on them, but they are tin pails. They are in the gardening section. I saw them randomly when I was buying some vases- but I didn't know for sure if I wanted those or regular baskets yet. I have learned my lesson- anything I find at Ikea that I MAY want- I need to just BUY it then! It's a 2 hour or so hike up north. And it's not like anything you buy from there will break the bank Do you want me to pick you some up from Target and ship them? I'm sure shipping won't be too much- and the flowers on them really are cute. Just so you know how small they are- they are 4 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" across up top. I am getting them for girls ranging in ages from 3-7.
  6. Yay! I've been looking all over for these- and was dreading a long drive to ikea because I know they have something similar. This is what I did to mine:

Argh!! Pizza is my ultimate weakness! I don't care about sweets or really anything else. But I heart my pizza. Oh and FI made a gin and tonic last night- another treat. Another BDWer said somewhere- nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.... I need to remember that! Hopefully a big workout day today- FI is out of town, so the pup and I will do an extra long walk- then I'm off to the gym. Have a great day ladies!
  8. Thanks guys! You're TOTALLY right Kimmy---- I'm totally going to do that especially since their policies have changed so much!

When I go for my wedding I can ask them, just remind me. That's what I'm afraid of. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be a cheapskate or anything- but it's just a lot extra. That would be great if you could ask though!!
  10. You're right Renee- I focus on the number too. Even though my clothes have been fitting better lately. Silly me.
  11. Perfect Kimmy! Thank you so much Ok sorry, I'm question lady today: To any past brides: I have 4 children coming that are under the age of five (do not need seats for ceremony, they are standing with us, barely eat a thing, OBVIOUSLY don't drink haha) do they count in your wedding package count? We're at 42 now counting them, and I would hate to pay an extra 500+ for the more expensive package since we're over 40!?

  13. Kimmy- thank you SO MUCH for the details of your review! It sounds like our weddings are very similar, w/ package and ceremony/dinner time. Makes me feel SO much better about every choice that I have made!!! Great tips- you answered so many of my questions!! It is greatly appreciated! P.S. I was cracking up at your sand ceremony idea! Fantastic! You said that the welcome dinner had ice sculptures and choc fountain? Did you have to pay for that? What restaurant was it at? Also, how were the welcome bags given to the guests? I read that they can put them in rooms, or give at the front desk, but many of our guests are arriving the day after we get there, and I’m afraid that we won’t have the meeting with the coordinator yet… Can you tell I’m writing this as I read? Warning: MEXICO LOVES TECHNO AND MICHAEL JACKSON. Don't say I didn't warn you!!!
  14. That's how I feel Natasha! I have been working out/running/lifting etc way more than before and I have not lost a lb! Have to be honest though- I have probably had one too many cheat meals. I need to just cut it totally down. Only 2 1/2 months to go for us!
  15. Congrats Mere! Well, I knew I needed this motivation before- but after I took my 'before' pics last night (I'll send tonight Renee, I just sent you my weight now) I was pretty unhappy with the way I looked! I guess a swimsuit will do that to you huh? It was funny- FI was taking the pics and I wasn't really smiling, he was like, 'Don't go and do that thing where you look totally somber in the 'before' pic, and then you're all smiles in the after pic. But it's pretty much what I did! I've been waiting so anxiously for the wedding- now I am happy that I have the time ahead of me so I can buckle down and really start working out!
  16. Welcome back Kimmy!!! I'm so glad to hear you had such a wonderful time! Can't wait to see pics
  17. SO funny right! People are always amazed- it was truly meant to be. I don't know that we would have ever crossed paths otherwise!
  18. And wow Shuzzy- amazing story!! True best friend is right!
  19. Aw cute! Our Story is very random. I got a phone call on a Friday morning from a friend inviting me to Vegas for that weekend. I thought, ‘what the heck!’ I rushed home to pack, and thought that since I was up since 5am I could catch some zzz’s on the plane to prepare for a late Vegas night. My friend was flying in from SF to meet me, so I was traveling alone. The guy in front of me on the plane was SO loud and obnoxious, and I hated him the whole way because he was interrupting my beauty sleep. This was before the liquid restriction, and I could see him and a friend passing a little flask back and forth. Plane lands, and the nutty guy gets up (he was with a huge bachelor party) and yells, ‘WHO WANTS A CAR BOMB?!†Me, being the sarcastic sally that I am, said very dryly, ‘ugh, I could totally use a car bomb after that flight’ (of course, referring to my frustration with his antics). He took me seriously, we quickly introduced ourselves (I couldn’t tell while we were in separate rows how attractive he was! ), he yelled for one of his friends to take his bag and we went off to find a drink. He paid for my cab to my hotel….. the rest is history! We got together when we got home!! Oh how I love my dear, obnoxious FI!
  20. I'm on it! Wow, I don't think I've ever been excited to step on the scale!!
