    Help!

Hi Amanda, Congrats and welcome. I'm sure there is lots of info about Dominican resorts for your wedding. Try going to the location specific section. A few years ago I stayed at Iberostar Bavaro in Punta Cana. It was pretty nice and there was lots to do there. I did see one wedding on the beach but it was set up in a crowded area. Lots of other guests "attended" their ceremony! But the staff did a good job of keeping people away and not crossing the beach between the ceremony and the water (better for pictures) Another wedding I saw there was just a bride and groom and two people with them. They had dinner in one of the nicer restaurants and I saw them later in the club. So obviously they can accommodate anything. I would look around though at all your options. I would also suggest contacting a travel agent. I found my location in Mexico through him. Good Luck!

    New!

I haven't been, but my travel agent raved about it and my MOH went to one of their other resorts (Seaside) and loved it. I'm really excited. Have you been there? I'm going dress shopping in a couple of weeks - just made all of the appointments.
  3. Welcome! And Congratulations! I went on vacation at Iberostar in Bavaro a few years ago. The beach is amazing!
  4. here's the link for the bumper stickers on zazzle Bumper Stickers, Make your own bumper Stickers, Cheap bumper sticker
  5. I looked at zazzle.com too. I'm worried that the stickers aren't going to stick or stay on for very long. I looked at their bumper stickers and they are waterproof and should have more stick to them! I was going to put 3 or 4 logos on each bumper sticker and then cut them out myself. Only $4 each.
  6. Has anyone found a place to print custom "Do Not Disturb" signs to give in the OOT bags? I saw a really cute one made for a wedding that said Do Not Disturb I partied all night at the Young's Wedding I can't find a place to print them and I'm wondering if I should try to make them myself. I only need about 10, so minimums might be an issue if I order them somewhere. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  7. I love them! Great job! I'm definitely stealing that idea! Thanks for posting it!
  8. ooooh fun! a friend of my took her honeymoon there last year! You must be so excited!!! Congratulations!
  9. Congrats and Welcome! You've come to the right place.
  10. We are getting married at El Dorado Maroma near Playa del Carmen in March 2010. It's all inclusive and adults only. You may be able to get rooms there for under $2k - just check with a travel agent. There are a few El Dorado resorts (all adults only) that are all inclusive. Some have more activities and ammenities than others. El Dorado Maroma is smaller (which is what we wanted). They also have Azul resorts that are family friendly, but I think you said you didn't care about that. Anyway, I hope this helps! Happy Planning!

    Congratulations, Sammy. Welcome!
  12. Welcome! A travel agent will make a big difference in the planning. The TA will take some of the anxiety away from you.
  13. It is addicting, isn't it!??!!? There are so many great ideas - I love it! Plus now I don't drive my friends or fiance crazy by talking about the wedding and all the planning all the time. Happy Planning!

Hi Ashley. We're also getting married at El Dorado Maroma (in early March). How is your planning going?
  16. This is what i'm doing. I'm replacing the white freesia with white tulips (my favorite) Wedding Bouquets by Color: Blue, Green, Yellow, and White
  17. I agree with the ladies. you look beautiful in both, but the first one is more flattering (at least in the pictures). It makes sense that the second one isn't altered to fit you yet. I think you should go with the one that makes you feel the most beautiful.
