    We are planning on having a big "getting hitched" celebration at our house. We want it to be less formal but a great time for everyone with a lot of pictures of the wedding and week with our group of friends and family members...

    It is not "normal" to pay for the bridesmaids dresses, however I am chosing to for a few reasons. I am having one bridesmaid...and she was in my previous marriage. I did not feel right asking her to pay a second time. With that said, I want her to pick out a sundress that she will actually wear again! I cannot tell you how many dresses I have that the brides thought I would get my money's worth...they were cute on the wedding day but not something I would really wear again.

    Try to relax and visualize your relationship and life together...it will be perfect at the ceremony. As long as it comes from your heart and means something to the both of you, it will be perfect. Good luck.

    My best friend had a similar situation with her dad having passed a few months prior to her wedding. Her brother walked her down the aisle with her mom, leaving an open seat next to her mom with a rose on the seat. There was a picture of her father on the alter, prior to handing out the roses they both went up to the picture and took the roses from the vase next to it...it is something meaningful to her and her family... Not sure if that helped at all though...

    Hmmm...I think this is a tough call, I see both sides. I think you could invite them but should somehow explain why they are not invited to the wedding. Could you have a shower in the same location as those near your DW? I have been invited to showers and not to the wedding, and I thought they were just trying to get more gifts...not saying you are though. It is tough because I am sure you want to include everyone but it gets costly. Good luck...

    Ha ha ha!! That is too funny...he definitely has the blue sparkling eyes though! Have you heard his accent in real life...totally threw me for a loop!

    I am so tired of the two of them...they are celebrities for what reason?!? Annoying people, actually Heidi I can handle...Spencer seems very annoying and egotistical to me! Although sometimes the media puts that kind of spin on it, I could do without the two of them...

    I saw that on CNN earlier this afternoon...so sad! It is kind of scary all of the celebrities that have passed at such a young age and so close to one another. Sounds like his was from being bumped on the head in the plane...or so they are speculating at the moment...

    We would love to go to Fiji, we are planning that for an anniverary trip. It is too expensive for us at the moment. The infamous huts on the water are in Fiji...that is where I want to stay! It looks so beautiful and serene...let us know what you decide!!

    We decided to stay in Jamaica, but move to a couples only hotel. Our wedding location allows 14+ but we want it to be a little more romantic and toned down than being with our friends and family. Our wedding is on Friday and we will move on Sunday to our honeymoon location.

    Congrats on picking a resort! We are in a similar situation, trying to decide where to stay for our honeymoon...thinking Sandals or Couples, not sure which one. Our wedding is at BRB, FI has kids so similar to you in terms of being away from them. Congrats again!!! Yeah!!!

    I like the idea of the photo album...a DIY project for them will be personal and memorable. Then take tons of pics throughout your time there...have fun and good luck.
