Actually most of my guests left to back to their rooms. None of the food was eaten and they only serve champagne. THis is actually my ONLY complaint of the whole wedding!!! It was so hot outside and they only provide one tiny umbrella. Review to come. . . I am sooo depressed, I want to go back to mexico Really about the cocktail hour I cannot believe it is not open bar that just seems so wrong.

LisaD - you are a smart woman for ordering invites. Although I am happy the way they turned out I think for sanity reasons its better to let the professionals do it lol

  7. Ok so my invitations were suppose to be sent out last month. Needless to say I procrastinated quite a bit lol. I don't know what it was but we kept running into issues. Yes my FI super amazing man (blush) helped me put all of the invites together. I get emotional just writing about it because he endured several trips to Joanne Fabrics, put all the ribbons together and all the tags. He did not complain one time . So here they are....... Folders, paper and envelopes came from Paper and More The ribbon came from Joanne Fabrics and so did the paper for the tags. We made the tags with a hole puncher from Joanne Fabrics and I did our initials in photoshop. We printed them out ourselves and than FI hole punched everything out and put the ribbon through them. He also cut the ribbon down and fitted everything around the invites. I designed the design myself in photoshop and had them printed at a local printer. The stamp for our return address was from Etsy Seller Loves To Create Stamps. I featured Todd's stamps on my blog because he was so awesome to work with and I love my stamp so much. It came so fast I could not believe it. I think that about covers it. Thank you so much to everyone on this forum who is constantly inspiring me.

  17. MSglave - I'm sorry were you at the Pelicanos beach? If so I think your fine there. Especially because by 5pm in December its dark so no one is on the beach. Lady Di - The beach is public so you won't have any issues doing your TTD session there but if you want to do it in a Cenote or the Ruins or anywhere historical they usually will not allow it. However I do know of some people who called and asked if they could get permission and they were allowed to. They did have to pay for one of the tour guides to let them in and he stayed with them during the session in one of the cenotes. Everyone - for past and future brides what are you guys doing for OOT bags? Do you think tumblers are worth getting for this resort, what about beach towels? I'm starting to think about them now and hoping in the next two months to start buying the items but I wanted everyone's advice. I know at some resorts the cups are worth it but I heard at others its not.

Hi Msglave I have seen all the beaches and I know this is not helpful but it really is tough depending on your situation. How many people are you having? If you are having 40 or more guests I highly recommend the beach by Pelicanos. It is right by the pier but it is the biggest beach. Also you have your wedding later like 6pm reception there is no one walking around down there so you will be fine. My favorite is the middle beach. However it is a lot smaller and also its right next to the entrance of the royal where are the pools are. There is also all these cabanas riht behind it. I like the area right in front of the gazebo a lot to but you always run the risk of this beach getting ashed away and not being there. Especially in the winter months. So really it depends on how many people you are having.
  19. Thank You Julia for the review! I am so happy that everything was wonderful. Can't wait to see the pics. Have an awesome time in Tulum on your honeymoon
