Hi Ladies, I featured a destination wedding at Playa Fiesta today and just had to share the images of some of the details. I thought they were great inspiration. I love this venue and I have heard nothing but amazing things about the food and what a beautiful place for a ceremony. The maracas were done by Mishka designs, they do such an incredible job. I hope it brings you some inspiration for your big days at Playa Fiesta.

ChicagoBride don't worry it will all come together and your day will be perfect Ladies I do have to say I know Fernando is expensive but it is seriously worth every penny, he is like the hair and make up whisperer lol we got a couple of sneak peek pics back so here you go. Our pictures are suppose to arrive Jan 2nd and I am just dieing to see them!!! I am just going to test one out first since there as been some issues with posting images

Jozee I used Cancun Transfers and they were awesome!! I still check every day to ladies lol I remember this time last year when I was planning it got quite to for a bit. I swear I will have my review up this Sunday if it takes me all day!! Everything is crazy before you get married and a little while after ahahaha

FutureMrsYak you are just glowing thank you for sharing it made my work day pass really quickly lol Randi omg now that I saw a picture of you - you were in the wedding center just leaving when we came in for our meeting!!! You looked gorgouse. I love the BM dresses, every single one of them looked good in that dress.

futuremrsyak congrats!! you looked so beautiful!! I love the star fish hair clip I can't wait to see more pics. I am so glad everything went so well. I wanted to let you ladies know as well if anyone is worried about getting your dressed steamed I had no problems! They don't send them away. I had mine back with in 24 hours and they did all the guys stuff to. Everything came out perfectly pressed.

Welcome back Danielle!! can't wait to see and hear all about it My BM's closed them and held them through the entire ceremony. It worked out perfectly. I will post a pic tonight when I get home. They said it worked out really well. I don't recommend putting them down because ya it does get very windy. YAY!!!!!! so happy for you msglave - I now you have worked really hard to put this big day together and I wish you all the best. I will be thinking of you this Saturday and of course I can't wait to see pictures and hear about it. That's the best part for us BDW girls lol

Lisa you looked so beautiful and everything looked perfect I am so happy La Tortuga was awesome for you I can't wait to see more pics lol Viola planning any wedding can be overwhelming lol 1. Even though I had a pretty large wedding I have heard on here a lot about the small semi-private and at teh Royal they are very willing to accomodate you. You can have it at one of the restaurants if it is 15 or less. If it goes above that there are plenty of choices and way to continue to keep the cost down. How many are on your guest list now? 2. Hair/Make up has very mix reviews. Some people have had amazing experiences and other not so much at the Spa. I think ti all depends on what you really want. I really wanted to be in my room relaxing with my girls so I opted for an outside hair and make up person. I used Fernando from the make up pros who was amazing!!!!! and it was worth every penny. he is costly though. So I would say if your hair is good in hot weather and your not to picky and don't mind going to the Spa go for it. But if yours turns into an afro like mine lol in hot weather and want to stay in your room its worth paying for someone to come. 3. I think a photographer is the most important thing about a destination wedding. That is the person that is going to capture those moments forever. We sacrificed video so we could make the budget work for a good photographer. Now ya that outside vendor fee really sucks. Some people have brought a photographer from home and paid for their stay. There are a lot of photographers that if you pay for their stay will give you a great deal on an overall package. 4. Yes you have to pay the outside fee for your own mariachi which are not much cheaper anyways. They were $500 so with the fee it makes no sense. The mariachi was totally worth it!!! our guests are still talking about that. When is your big day? sorry if it's somewhere and I missed it. We are definitely on a budget...we opted for the free wedding, as the cost of the master suite was actually less than paying for the wedding package. We wanted to upgrade the flowers, cake, etc., anyway, so this seemed like the best way to go. Our wedding is May 21, 4pm in the gazebo. We have no idea how many people will be able to come, but we think it will be very small. Was anyone able to see the final guest list before planning the reception? I'd like to do a private reception, but only if it is relatively small group...this can get really expensive with a lot of people! Has anyone had experience with a small, semi-private reception? Our wedding planner's name is Elvy. Has anyone worked with her before? She seems super helpful so far, and very responsive. I'm also interested in what people have done for hair/makeup? How's the salon at the resort? Should I book an appointment with someone else? How about the photographer? We definitely want to choose our own photographer, but the contract says there is a $350 fee for outside vendors. Is there a way around this, if I want to use a local photographer? Would I have to pay this fee if I wanted to hire my own mariachi band? I've heard of other people doing this. I am so excited, but a little nervous about what I need to do to prepare. If anyone can share stories about how they are getting ready for the big day at the Royal, I would be grateful Thanks, Jen Hi kshow - although I had an offsite reception I saw the set up for a lot of brides during my week that I now also used Marvin. For one of them she had two people waiting in the lobby and I saw them come and give her the flowers and she just brought them in. But that was just the bouquets and bouts I did not see center pieces or anything like that. The tables are set up a day before however this depends if there are other wedding in your space or not. So I would recommend you appoint someone like two hours before your ceremony to go with a few other people to grab the center peices and put them on the table for you and make sure to coordinate that with Marvin. Oh no well deep breathes I know that is hard right now but not to worry everything will work out. The meeting is super quick just remember to write down everything you want to ask and confirm all appointments. You are going to have a beautiful day!! I promise Ya I was not a fan of being changed from a direct to connecting flight either. But it was not bad at all. We got to Florida and had beers lol while we waited This is the florists we were told to go and check out but we never ended up having to go but here's the address they gave me Floreria Sac Nah - Other in Playa del Carmen Location: 30th Ave and 16th St. Open 9am - 6pm, Mon - Sat We did not go to Walmart but my parents did - I ended up needing two extra frames that my parents forgot to bring for our memory table. They said they had everything but I still fon't know if I would run the risk. What if they only have tow vases of what you are looking for? Don't worry your in the last stretch your almost there!! Paradise is waiting for you. So jealouse of all you ladies going

Ya it is kind of hit or miss with this unfortunetly. If you wrap them really well in something and like Pretty Pig said scatter them the chances are less. But I would consider what happens if you do get stopped and they get confiscated? Whats plan B just in case
