Debbi803- I feel the same! I have so much to do in so little time with not enough points! I bought first aid kits recently and was planning to put our logo on it but I am curious what everyone else is doing? I hope I get more points to see your templates soon! What are you all calling these kits? I have seen "O Shit Kits" or "Jamaica Survival Kits"....which do you all like better?

Hey girls! My fiance and I just registered at Macy's last weekend BUT we want to register at one more place- we want Lowes or HomeDepot because we recently bought a bank owned home, therefore, we would love gift cards, etc to fix up our home....we do not need dishes, etc, because we have lived together now for a year so we have everything! YAY! (BY THE WAY- FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT LIVE TOGETHER -THE FIRST 2 MONTHS WERE ROUGH FOR US- ADJUSTMENT FOR ME WAS HARD! NOW- JUST WONDERFUL!) As I was saying, have any of u registestered at Lowe's/Home Depot? If so let me know how you did it? To me It seems unaccesable? My Mom wamts me to include cards in our invites that say "Hom depot or Lowes" giftcards with our Macy's card but I think thats kind of tacky. Fill me in ladies!?

future mrs2010- the candle lit dinner for 2- is that the one they provide for free with the wedding package?

So my wedding coordinator informed me that "For booking 10 rooms or more through our groups department you have received a rehearsal dinner for the night before your wedding at 6pm. This is for all guests who are booked under your same group block." Yay! So have any of you done this? If so, please tell me how this works! Or if you are doing this, what are you thinking about it?We have 22 people going as of now. I only have my sis as a maid of honor, my fiance's brother as best man, my Dad walking me down, etc. So what does everyone else do while we rehearse? Just a little confused. Is this a private dinner? Is the dinner good? Lol! Please fill me in! Man, thank goodness for all of you! Everything just seems so vague!

Okay so I recieved this email from my wedding coordinator: "While going through your file I noticed that you have not added any upgrades or enhancements to your event. All wedding services such as reception (if guest attending), professional photos, spa services, etc. should be booked at this time in order to ensure the services." I have heard we do not really have to book for photography, spa services, etc. until we are there and it ends up being cheaper when we are there? Please tell me what you have done as previous brides or what you are planning to do if you are getting married soon?! What do we book ahead of time and what can wait? What are we expected to pay for ahead of time, and what can wait? Please help! THANKS!!

dst10spr97- soooo sorry I took so long! Things have been hectic so I haven't been on as much as I'd like to be. I just emailed you some pics and my coordinators info...she is the coordinator for Dunn's River.

If you email your wedding coordinator and ask for different pictures, she should send them to you...I have asked for pictures of the standard centerpiece, the chairs, etc.....there were 4 different options for the ceremony location.....I would send them to you but I am at work and dont have them on this computer...if you give me your email, I can email them to you.

We are staying at Sandals Dunn's River for 5 nights and getting married there and then we are going to Sandals Negril for 3 nights. How do we get from Ocho Rios to Negril? Will we be charged? And how do I arrange this? Will my travel agent or do I let Dunn's River know when we get there??

okay so are most of you using your dress bag as a carry on? Or are you folding your dress in the garmet bag and putting into luggage and carrying it on? Still a little confused....

..another ppw question: So the only paperwork required is our notarized birth certs and the other paper that we fill out....do we need to file any paperwork/apply for marriage cert. through our state? Is there any additional ppw we should be doing to make marriage legal?

It is best to take the garment bag that the dress came with, put it inside of a standard luggage garment bag, fold the garment bag in half and place it in the overhead bin. This causes the least amount of wrinkling especially through the bodice and the bottom where steaming is usually most needed. Any minor wrinkles that folding may cause will usually "press themselves out" if you hang it up as soon as you reach your destination. The maximum size of a garment bag that will fit in the overhead bin is 45 inches. I would suggest transporting your dress this way. I went to 4 different places before I actually found someone who would do it! She made a photocopy of the original birth cert. then had a paper attached that explained that "This is a photocopy of (first, last name's) original CA State Birth Cert. Yay! One more thing done!

hmmm. Jaymibaby- did you ever get this email? I tried downloading them to and I don't have publisher. Did u find another way to open it?

Jamaicabride09- I have the date of Sept 13th...just wondering if you have the same date? I just recieved my original birth cert, and now I am trying to notarize it...I went to 2 separate places and they wont do it! They said they aren't allowed?? My TA is waiting to hear back from my wedding planner with more details. I was just going to request for another birth cert. but then again I don't feel comfortable sending an original document.... Let me know what your TA finds out and I will let you know what mine finds out! I am stressing because I need to apply for my passport! Meanwhile, Mike applied for his passport 4 weeks ago and he hasn't gotten yet so we dont have his birth cert to get notarized.....
