Hi Sheri Welcome! The resorts are just starting to get prices for next April and there aren't airfare rates yet. Your best bet is to go directly to the resorts for pricing or talk to a TA. You can also try Expedia or Travelocity and see if they have rates. Airfare will be coming out in another month or 2.

I'm also a recruiter/career counselor. Definitely a suit. Doesn't matter if it's pants or a skirt, but if it's a skirt, nothing shorter than right above the knee. I would agree with the no bare legs for the interview, which is why I only have pants suits! If you wear a skirt, you can do tights and boots (or shoes) that match the skirt color. You want the look to be simple and professional.

I'm crossing my fingers that this doesn't happen to me. I was really specific on the STDs to invite "John & Jane" and not The Doe Family. We really didn't want families at our DW. Let us know how it works out!

Mine just went out for my wedding that's a year away. I wanted to let my guests have enough time to plan and save up. I did a postcard and an email...The TA I'm using does it for you....I didn't get the boarding pass STDs I originally wanted but it was a lot easier to let them do it for me online. I have to take a picture of them and post it.

I am April 10, 2010 and was able to get resort prices but Airfare prices don't come out until 330 days before. I'm going through a TA but I know it says Sunquest on my contract. I had the same experience as you all did with 3 different TAs not following up with me...I couldn't believe they didn't want my business! The one I'm using now is awesome....she emails me regularly, calls me and has done everything she said she will.

To fieldofflowers - I'm getting married April 10 2010 at GP Lady Hamilton so we will be on the same schedule of booking things. I've had my date confirmed and booked my package (Caribbean) - I recieved an email back from Jacinythia with that confirmation. I'm working with a TA that only does DW that has been helping me with all of this. Let me know if you need any help.

When I was ordering my dress, the saleslady told me there was a girl who lost 120 lbs - yes One Hundred and Twenty pounds, and they were able to alter her dress. 20 pounds shouldn't be too much of an issue. Good Luck - I want to lose 20 pounds before my dress comes in too!

We are staying longer than everyone else. Getting there 4/8, Wedding is 4/10, staying til 4/18. Most people will be coming for 4 nights. I'm hoping that nobody is planning to stay a week! Luckily the resort is a 2 in 1 so there will be plenty of space if any of our guests decide to stay longer!

This forum is awesome for information..I don't think I could have made my decision without everyone here...especially the ladies who just came back from there with the fantastic reviews and pictures. Now, on to Save the Date cards!

Jim and I have actually known each other since freshman year of high school....although I don't remember him very well. Jim has my freshman year picture that I signed and he saved all these years. Jim found me on Classmates.com 21 years after graduation and wrote to me. It took me almost a month to get back to him and I had to admit to him that I didn't really remember him, but once we started talking, it turned out that we knew a lot of the same people, and he was still friends with one of my close friends from high school. We talked for over 2 hours that first night,and made plans to see each other 2 days later. We went out on a Wednesday night and just had the best time...we were so comfortable and easy together - It was a very warm day for October in New Jersey and we took his motorcycle to the beach. We walked and talked till it got dark and then went out to dinner. I really did feel like I'd known him forever. We made plans to spend the entire weekend together....did all kinds of fun things...that Monday he surprised me with roses, and I think we've spent about 2 nights apart since. He proposed to me exactly one month later. I had been home sick for 2 days. Jim was off from work that day but had things to do and had been in and out of the house. At around 4pm he came home and said he wanted to get me out of the house. I asked him if he could take me to the doctor because I thought I really needed to go to one. He said we could do that too. So we got in the car and started driving. He asked me if I realized it was our 1 month anniversary and I said yes. We started going towards Sandy Hook, which was where our first date was. He was asking me why I didn't like diamond earrings...which I explained I did like, but he had just bought me a diamond necklace over the weekend, so I didn't think I needed diamond earrings so soon. When we got to the beach the sun was starting to go down and it was a little chilly. Jim said we would just go for a quick walk. He was walking a little fast and I had to ask him to slow down, as I didn't feel too well, and he did, and I could hear him taking something out of his pocket. He handed me a gift bag as we were walking....so I asked him if we could stop walking while I opened it. We stopped and he said "I hope you like them" so I totally thought I was getting earrings as a 1 month anniversary present! I took a black box out of the bag, un-did the ribbon and opened the box. To my amazement there was the most perfect engagement ring inside. Jim dropped to his knees and told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and I said of course...my knees kind of buckled so he grabbed me and we were just hugging and I kept telling him I was so happy! Then we quickly went back to the car because it was so chilly....and he took me to the doctor~not typically romantic, but it was because it shows how much he really loves me!

Thank you for the welcome - the prices from Newark, NJ are about the same to Mexico and Jamaica. We do not want to be in a Spring Break type of place. We want All Inclusive, but not couples only, since we have some single friends that will be attending. I feel like once I book the place, I will feel so much better about things!
