I really liked the Glenview mansion. Welcome to Glenview Mansion It's not that expensive to rent and has a really nice garden area with steps leading down, which I thought was a beautiful entrance for the bride. They have a lot of weddings there. The only thing I didn't like about the mansion was that inside their isn't one big area for a big group to sit down and eat, like a banquet room. But one feature I liked was that they have an art gallery or something like that upstairs that they will open for a while during your time there which I thought would be interesting for the guests. I know it's not one of the cities you named but Rockville isn't far from those places.

Yeah, I am considering the resort's spa, but I don't know if I've ever seen anyone that was 100% happy with their resort's makeup artist. My resort does have the option of having an artist come to the resort to do your makeup but it's for a min. of 4 people, which I don't have and also it costs $800 which I wouldn't pay. Oh well, I guess I'm on my own. You're so lucky your friend does makeup!

I have fallen in love with Jovi, it is so pretty. at first i wanted Sandrina but ultimately Jovi won my heart. Cant wait to order it.

we've never even been out of the country, so we chose our resort strictly from the pictures on the internet and tripadvisor reviews, gosh that site is invaluable, and this site too. we are super excited.

I love when people wear something bright on their wedding day. like red shoes or nail polish. i will probably do a champagne type color, which isn't all that daring, but it's just a color i like on my skin tone.

^that is so cute. I think I'm gonna wear my hair down and slightly wavy, I am worried about it reverting in the humidity, I have super curly hair. I think I'll just spray the heck out of it with some anti-humidity hairspray and hope for the best. I don't really want to wear it up because that's just not me.

Both resorts are gorgeous! I chose the Palma Real, because I think it is just beautiful. The price is higher but it will just be the 2 of us so we can afford to spend a little more. The PPC is lovely too, I love their gazebo by the water.

I've looked all throughout the DR forum and didn't see any topics about makeup. For past or future DR brides, who did you use/will you use to do your makeup? I'm a makeup fanatic, so I could definitely do it myself but I would prefer to hire someone to do it. Any suggestions?
