Thanks so much for sending the pics!!, you look very beautiful in your pictures. Thanks also for all the great info, its making me want to book there more and more..especially for the fact that it isn't that big as I have the grandparents coming and don't want them to have to walk a lot!

Its really interesting to read what everyone is doing! We are going to go to a different, smaller hotel (maybe adults only) for another week. Just so it can be just the two of us. We love our friends and family but we want a week to oursleves. A lot of them will probably be staying at the wedding hotel for another week. Personally for the honeymonn, I just want to relax and be waited on so we are probably going to a "fancier" hotel but still all inclusive. Lacey

Wow You took awesome pictures, I loved your flowers and beach set up! How was the service there?, like the bars etc. Did everyone that travelled with you enjoy it? So for the dinner, could you chose anything for different people, like a steak and seafood combo option? Or was it just chicken or just steak? Wow...the more I look and hear about this resort, the more I am thinking of having my wedding there. If anyone has all the cost breakdowns and any pictures could you email them to me? lmgreene05@hotmail.com Shelley - everything sounds so great, sounds like you had a great wedding, would you please be able to send me any pics that you can? Kaycee - with the IPOD, did you have someone managing the music, like a DJ? Also how long were you allowed to party for with everyone at your reception. Thanks!!!

Engagement parties???

Does anyone else have any ideas to share about engagement parties? I am starting to think about planning mine and can't quite decide what to do? I also want to try and pay for everything, so something that would make me break the bank. Any ideas would be appreciated! -
They also do them at the El Dorado Royale or Maroma. They have beautiful chapels. I also just found out that you can stay at the Azul (which is a Karisma resort) and have the ceremony at the maroma as they have the chapel there and the Azul doesn't. If you happen to like that resort better. There is also churches in the town of Playa del Carmen, hope that helps Good luck

Hello Everyone My name is Lacey and I just got engaged to the love of my life, my high school sweetheart, on Valentines Day. Since I am still in school, and we are paying for the wedding it won't be until 2010 or 2011, BUT I am super excited for it. We would like to get married in the Mayan Riviera, but that is not for sure yet. This forum is so awesome, it has so much great info! Thanks Lacey
