That is really cute! I bought some paint last night and gave it a whirl. So far, they look pretty cute. I am worried that the paint will come off when they are washed though. I just used acryllic paint.

I started by throwing the idea out to my friends and family to get some reactions. Most people were super excited about getting to take a vacation so I decided to go with it. I did set a budget in my head though. I researched a ton of resorts and wanted to keep the cost to $1,500 per person all inclusive. I found a couple that could accomodate this price and ultimately decided to get married at Dreams Cancun. Most people that I really care about are coming, but my FI and I really wanted this and had to prepare ourselves for people not being able to attend. Maybe we are being a little selfish, but what other day in your life is being selfish more justified? It's the first day of the rest of our lives together and we want it to begin as we always envisioned it. Whatever you want is the right thing to do. Everything else will just fall into place:)

I am getting married November 5th in Cancun. I just checked the historical weather for that day and it said that it has rained once in the past 13 years.

We decided to invite everyone we would have invited if we were getting married at home knowing that everyone would not come. I figured that I would probably get about 20 people between immediate family and close friends, but actually ended up with 45! I am shocked, but couldn't be happier. All of my favorite people are going to be there and I am so excited that my friends and I get to have one last hoorah before a couple of them start trying to get pregnant. I am getting married at Dreams Cancun and the prices are very reasonable. Our ceremony will be at a gazebo by the ocean and then the reception will be right on the beach:) I can't wait. Good luck to all the brides trying to make the decision. Just keep in mind that it is your day and you should do whatever makes you happy.

Hi ladies! I have finished buying all the gifts for my bridesmaids, but recently came across really cute personalized wine glasses. I have spent a ton of money on them and wasn't looking to drop a couple hundred more, so I thought maybe I could make them myself with some stencils and paint. I think it would be really cute to give them to them on my bachelorette night to use. Has anyway ever attempted this? I am going to try Michael's and see what I can find. I will post pics when I am done.

If you decide to go antoher route than snapfish, here's an idea. My BF just got married and used this idea and her guest book was great! She had a polaroid camera and one of the servers at the hotel took a picture of the guests as they entered the cocktail hour. The guests then used double sided tape to stick there photo in the album and worte the newlyweds a little note. It cam out really cute and I definitely plan on using that idea.

I am doing pashminas for all the ladies (thought it would be nice in case it gets shilly on the beach at night) and cigars for the guys. I bought personalized tags with our wedding date and a starfish on them that I am going to hang from ribbon and tie around the pashminas. I hope it looks cute!

Vicky, I haven't gotten married at Dreams yet, but according to my contract, I am anticipating that it is going to cost around $6,000 for 48 people. The number will depend on whether or not I decide to do any upgrade i.e) flowers, cake. Hope this helps!
