The review is under Maria's Dreams Cancun Review. Have fun planning!

We went to Bulldog the first night out and since I had never heard of it I was skeptical but we had a great time. The girls danced and the guys drank, Bernardo hooked the guys up with a table right by the dance floor. I got in for free and I think everyone else paid $40, cover is usually $45. But that included bottle service so it was a good deal. Then we went to Coco Bongo another night and it was crazy packed but Mini-me (and yes he actually goes by this and is really small) got us a couple tables. Definitely hook up with one of those guys to take you where you want to go. And they stay out with you to make sure you're OK which is crazy because they'll be at the resort the following morning leading that day's activities. They work all the time! Mini-Me is awesome! He hooked us up as well. And Z (you'll see her playing beach volleyball everyday) was great! She went out with us twice and got us the hook up.

Also, is anyone willing to share their programs for those that did the legal ceremony there. I want to put my programs together but don't know how the ceremony is structured to get started. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help I had my reception on the beach and it is windy. I don't think candles will work.
  5. I wish I could, but I actually forgot to take it off my bouquet when I left. A friend of mine wanted to borrow it so I looked on eBay for her and found one, but it was pricey. I'll see if I can find one for you and will send you the link if I have any luck.

The DJ had a ton of music. The only thing I brought was a cd with our entrance song, first dance, father/daughter and mother/son to make sure we had the important songs on hand. The DJ was great and had everythign we requested. I highly recommend DJ Mannia.
  9. I don't think it matters at all. It's something you will wear fo rthe rest of your life so you should both definitely like your choices. I have a diamond band and my husband chose a band with celtic knots. The pictures still look nice.
  10. Remember to focus on the most important thing...you are marrying the man of your dreams. Everything else just has a way of working itself out. That being said, I totalyy undertand how stressful planning a wedding is and I would say one of the most important aspects of the day is the dress becuase its what makes you feel good about yourself. If you feel like a "hot mess" in dress #1, definitely don't wear it. It's your day and you want to feel beautiful and special. You clearly feel that way in the Maggie. Thats the one:)

It made the setup look amazing and really added an element of fun. I highly recommend it:)

  15. This is disappointing to hear. I got married at Dreams Cancun last week and I can't say enough about the staff. They really aimed to please and we waited for nothing! Hopefully, they'll get more efficient as time goes on.

We originally planned our ceremony for 5pm and then realized it would be dark by the time the ceremony was over so we changed it and it worked out perfectly. I think the sun set aroud 5:15 that day so there was time to get pics in the light. I cant wait to see the pro pics!

I used DJ Mannia and they provided lighting and the illuminated dance floor but the hotel did the lights under the table. It looked really cool and I am so glad we did that.

What time was your ceremony? Did you have a cocktail hour? How long was your reception? Who did your hair and makeup? You looked absolutely gorgeous. What time did you go to the spa to get your hair done? How much were your center pieces? ALso I know this is much to ask but do you have a price break down? I am sooooo sorry to ask sooooooooo many questions. Its just your wedding looked absolutely perfect... Thank you.... Happy to help! Since it is winter, the sun sets around 5:00 in Cancun. I wanted to maks sure we got some pictures in the daylight so our ceremony was at 3:30. it was over by 4:00 and we had about an hour to get some of the scenary in the pictures. I did not have a cocktail hour and actually traded that for extra guests at dinner. It worked out perfectly though becuase there is a lobby bar right by the gazebo so my guests went there for drinks. They also set up a full bar right on the beach so guests were able to head down a little early and have a cocktail by the ocean before introductions. I don't remember the woman's name who did my hair and make up but she was the most experienced one at the salon. They always reserve the most experienced beautician for the bride, but the other 2 women did great jobs as well. All the girls looked great and were very pleased. Since I had 7 bridesmaids, plus my sister and mom getting hair done, we started at 9:00am. I had a 9:30 manicure followed by a salt scrub and massage (1 hour) with my MOH at 10:00 and then started hair and make up. I think I was done by 1:00. My photographer was coming at 2:00 so I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to get up to my room before they came. My center pieces were actually free. They have them at Dreams. You do have to pay extra if you choose flowers though. I just loved the look of the tea light with sand and shells. It looked really pretty. I dont really have a price breakdown, but I can give you some more details if you want to shoot me an email. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I was thinking of bringing her a present like a beauty package plus a tip, just wondering what the standard is Thanks again for the review, you really looked amazing Please ask away! This site saved me and I am happy to help in any way I can. I did have my make up done at the salon and a couple of my bridesmaids did as well. Two different women did it and everyone looked awesome! I did bring my own makeup but just becuase I am a little funny about using foundation, etc. but they had plenty to choose from there. I never went for a trial for hair or make up. I just told the women what I wanted the day of the wedding and it was beyond expectation. They do a fabulous job at the salon. I gave Cecilia a tip at our initial meeting and wanted to give her more after the wedding, but never ran into her. She really went above and beyond and I want to think of something to send her now as a thank you. She really is absolutely fabulous! If you need anymore details, feel free to email me at [email protected]. Hope this helps!
