JANUARY FEBRUARY MARCH APRIL Melani & Wyman April 28 @ MAY Anandie May 3 @ Amanda & Adam May 4th @ 3;00 Jessica & Jason May 4th @ 4;30 JUNE Stephanie & Luke, June 2 2010 @3:00pm JULY AUGUST SEPTEMBER OCTOBER NOVEMBER DECEMBER Any other past brides around, if you could post a review it is always greatly appreciated! I promise to do one after my wedding, it's very helpful for future brides, especially when you've never been to this resort. Hope everyone's planning is going well. I'm a little worried about getting the pool snack bar, we have 29 ppl coming so I think we will automatically get it - but what happens if there are 3 large weddings in one day? First booked first served? I highly doubt there will be 3 weddings on my date, it's not high season for tourists but I was just wondering what happens in that situation...

So where are you guys in the planning stage (not sure if I really want to know so I freak out that I don't have anything ready). Good luck with everything and keep me updated on your progress. Same here, I'm in medical school (so his my FI) so we didn't have much choice, I finish school on May 21 and we leave a week after. Here's hoping for great weather . I actually sent out invites a long time ago, in early fall - but that's just because I didn't do STDs. I have been engaged since last Christmas though, so I have had awhile to do everything. We have the BM dresses, my dress, flowers all ready to go. I have also purchased BM gifts (mostly). I made a guestbook using our engagement photos...My biggest concern right now is trying to nail down a definite number so I can work on my favors and such. I also plan to do a few DIY projects but I'm going to rely a lot on what the resort provides.
  3. Congrats on getting your invites out, have you chosen your dress yet? I have mine waiting for me at the bridal salon - can't wait to get alterations (they told me to wait until about 1-2 months before to get the final sizing done). Has your FI decided what he's going wear?
  4. Hey All, I noticed every month in 2010 seems to have its own "support" thread except June 2010, so I thought I should remedy this. Just want to know how everyone's planning is going, I am getting so excited - it's crazy how fast the last year has gone. Hope to hear from others soon - it seems like June is a pretty uncommon month for weddings, it's ok with me - less will be going on at our resort when we are there .
  5. Love your pics!!! Congrats to you and your hubby, you guys are a beautiful couple . Elizabeth really captured the fun and love - she's very talented.
  6. Wow your wedding was BEAUTIFUL, as were you and your hubby! Love the colors (I am using pink/green too ) - that cake is so pretty! Congrats - glad you had such a great time.
  7. I think it is sort of flexible depending on the resort, but if you can change it I would go with 3 just to make sure it's legit.
  8. I know! It's too addictive - I thought I could watch say, 20 mins while i ate dinner - but I couldn't stop! It always seems like a couple of the girls may have been planted just to stir the pot a bit, I wonder if Jake is pressured to keep certain people around for a little longer just to cause trouble...

I looked terrible in chiffon dresses without much structure - so I think it really depends how each particular dress works with your body type. It's so hard to tell from pictures sometimes, I love them both though! Good luck deciding
  10. I totally bought those too! I better not forget to make tank tops for my girls and I hehe. Thanks for reminding me .

It's a David Tutera. The celebrity wedding planner from "My Fair Wedding" on WE. He just launched his own line of bridal gowns. I had an appointment at Bridal Reflections in NYC and he happened to have a trunk show there that weekend. I got to meet him, he was really nice and very honest which I really appreciated. I can't wait for it to come in!! Looks great!! Congrats on finding the ONE .

Eventually we did find something that was as bright and airy as we were hoping. We found it at Davids Bridal (which was great because we have six bridesmaids who range in size). Anyway, here is the picture from the website. Hope you like it! I agree that dress is adorable!! I am so pumped my girls all have their dresses now, the are J Crew (Juliet and Cotton Cady) in clover color. Just an FYI, the petite sizes seem to fit better, even up to 5'6"! Also, the clover color is being discontinued so they are all on sale now - of course after we order them lol.

Gross! -when he tells me to "chill out" or "relax" I become enraged! -his lack of memory. I could ask him to pick up three things at the store: bread, milk and eggs and he might, and I say might, remember to stop but will come home with juice, margarine and chips and look at me as if to say, "Did I do good?" Haha, I laugh just thinking about it. He tries I guess. I HAD to Reply!! I HAAAATE when my FI tells me to relax (he only does it to make me MORE mad, he says it in this condescending way - pisses me off!! I do it right back when I get the chance. hasn't happened in awhile thankfully). Also have to say I HEAR YOU about the SOCKS/CLOTHES, same thing with dishes (I call myself the dish washer fairy). He goes in spurts with cleaning, and when he is in cleaning mood he starts nit picking me about every little item that is out of place. Another one is that my FI is very motivated/determined - this is usually a very good thing, but when he has something he wants to get done he HAS to do it like this instant and he often expects me to helps (like projects around the house), even when it's not a great time for me...Have a little bit of patience, man! Also - need to say I hear you with the "adjustments" of the nether region, I really hate it, it's such a gross habit - I hope he doesn't continue that when we have kids!! BUT - I love him, and I miss him. It has been 7 weeks since I have seen him, I'm very excited for Thursday !
  15. Melidell that SUCKS, I totally know how you feel. It is never fun to spend $$ on things like that, also it is so stressful. I sometimes envy ppl who live at home with their parents - they never have to worry about grown up stuff. I HATE winter in Winnipeg, it has been -27 for the past few days, and its most likely going to stay this way for the next couple of months. Hope you're feeling better now, hang in there. *Hugs*
  16. Congrats you look beautiful! PS - Where did your hubby get that height from hehe?
  17. Hey Jackobelle, Just wanted to give you a shout out - I can totally see this same thing happening to me! I am sort of regretting my choice for MOH, not because we aren't close but because she is a new mom (and has a toddler) and very stressed/overwhelmed, also I am a control freak (who knew?) and a planner so its very tough for me not to want to know far in advance how its all going to work. I am trying to take deep breaths and just let things unfold the way they were meant to be. I think like the other ladies have said, maybe they are wrapped up with Christmas/holiday planning right now and if you still haven't heard anything from them in the next month or so maybe give them a call and maybe just ask if they wanted any addresses for your shower...Try to be thankful at least you definitely have one shower, even if it is not the one you had envisioned - it is better than nothing. Hang in there! Let us know how it goes

  19. Very cool - I love the way that your shoes mirror the graffiti background , the ones in the water are HOT too! Congrats!
  20. Those pics are beautiful, I love the color and lighting - you guys look great, congrats
  21. Allison I think it would work well for a less formal wedding, but if you are 100% sure you don't want it I'm sure someone will take it off your hands - maybe change the title of the thread to size 8 !
  22. I agree with the other girls - you can make a photobook that doubles as a guest book! It is great way to save all your pics and have a really cute guest book! I just made one and I love it , I just put in cute quotes and left blank areas throughout it! It is an easy/creative guest book!
  23. WOw - you and your hubby are a very hot couple! Congrats on the beautiful wedding
  24. Ladies - I need help, where can I find snorkel gear?? I want to buy my brother some for his bday and want some for me and my FI...ideas??
