  1. Val's Bridal in Courtice has a pretty good selection of DW gowns as well as tons of samples of non DW gowns. The service was wonderful. Of course, I am biased, seeing as though that's where I ended up purchasing my gown and bridesmaid dresses. I have also heard that The Dressroom on the Danforth has a GREAT selection of DW type gowns as well. You certainly wouldn't go wrong there!
  2. 18 percent : body fat (I freakin' wish!!)
  3. Dreams Punta Cana is the #12 placed resort out of 93 in Punta Cana. Believe me, that is awesome! I personally never read the bad reviews and when I do, I take it with a grain of salt. There are some people in this world that will never be satisfied! For instance, I read on a review (I forget which resort now) the traveler was disgusted that hardly any of the staff spoke English. Now, it is a Spanish speaking country...maybe THEY should have learned a little bit of Spanish since they are "just visiting". LOL. Anyway, my point being is that some of the bad reviews are just plain ridiculous. And I'm with Nonnie, most people that have an awesome time just don't write reviews. As for the prices, that is an amazing price for a resort. Our guests are paying $1420.00 (includes tax) for 7 days stay. It seems about right for you since you aren't going in "off off" season yet. Oh, and as a side note, remember that Dreams used to be Sunscape on the Beach before it had a renovation and update to the resort. Some of the comments about the decor may be outdated. Good luck and I hope you find the resort of your dreams!!!

  5. Wow...it was great to see this dress made from start to finish! You look awesome in your "made from the heart" wedding dress! I think you're right about the satin ribbon...it looks better on you with the ribbon turned up a bit. I can't wait to see it in December and in your wedding pictures! Congrats girl...you look GORGEOUS.
  6. Just got a phone call today from the bridal salon to let me know that the bridesmaid dresses are in!!! I'm gonna go and see them tomorrow so I'll bring my camera! I'll post the pictures ASAP.
  7. That is the exact dress that my girls will be wearing! They are absolutely gorgeous. I won't have pics on the beach until October but when they come in to the salon (in about 2 weeks or so) I will post pics. I totally think that they are perfect for a beach wedding and you can't go wrong with it. The style is very flattering on any size or shape.
  8. Hi Melissa, The sun typically sets in the DR at around 6:30pm. I think leaving the ceremony until that late will leave you in the dark. It would be okay if you were planning on doing pictures before the ceremony. We are having our ceremony at 5:00pm which leaves enough time for a champagne toast, some pictures with daylight and some pictures as the sun is setting. HTH!!!
  9. They are all beautiful dresses but my vote is #3...it has that "wow" factor. I think I literally said it out loud. You'll make one gorgeous bride in whatever dress becomes "the one".
  10. lipstick : always in my purse
  11. I too have searched and searched for you. I agree with Jacilynda, it may be a discontinued dress. To me, this dress looks like a La Sposa ( I tried one on very similar to the dress in question)...specifically the Floresta dress. I'm attaching pictures for you. Floresta: I also saw a La Sposa dress from the 2010 collection but can't get a picture of it up here. It's the "Libra" style. Check out their website! Pronovias wedding dresses also have a similar looking dresses on their website as well. I would search here too. Hope that helps a bit! Good luck with your dress search!
