    That is the Jellyfish Restaurant, a local spot. It isn't actually located on the Melia Property but is about a 5-10 minute walk on the beach from the resort. There are many brides that have had their reception there...it's actually where we are having the wedding ceremony and reception now, but we are staying at the Melia Caribe.

    I don't think that it is abnormal not to have a traditional shower either...I've asked my MOH not to throw one for me. FI and I have already bought the house 2 years ago and have all the neccessities. The girls from work, I know that they are planning a lingerie shower (even though I'm not supposed to know ). Alternatively, my wedding party is throwing us a Jack and Jill party...and it's a costume party so it should be fun!

    Hello fellow CA girls! I just thought I'd throw an idea at you for the OOT bags (mine surprisingly enough are finished with 5 months to spare). There is an online store (it's Canadian) called creativebag.com. I got all of my canvas/cotton totes there for about one dollar each! I ended up only spending $36 CAD + shipping. It only took about a week for me to receive them after I ordered and they are good quality lightweight bags. You should definitely check them out.
