  1. I've been feeling so crappy lately I haven't done anything! Boooo!!! I have to go for my fitting tomorrow morning about 45min away and then get ready for my Bach. Party!! So I don't think I'll make it to Zumba. Plus we have FI's xmas party tonight which I have to rush right home after work to get ready for!

I'm so glad everything (and everyone!) is ok!!

  5. Oh...I'm going to add this thread to my siggy so that maybe more people will see it & want to help out!!!

Why would it be important for everyone to know I'm a newfie?? I don't think it requires its own thread!!
  7. I voted again! But wow...those other people are way ahead!!! You have some vote pushign to do honey!! Get all your co-workers on board, family, friends, and of course the trusty BDW girls!!! Good Luck! I'll keep it up. (I'm even going to sign up using my other email addy - hey, if they can cheat...so can we!!)

Definitely post photos of your daughter's concert, or at least brag about how well it went. Wow...an expert eh?? I'm kind of glad you won't be there to show us all up now !!! So...any tips?? lol

Have a great weekend!

She chews through them so we have to replace them every few days. LOL. Hopefully your boxer's escaping days are over. OMG that is too funny!! My friend told me about a show she saw on TV - the owners couldn't figure out how their dog was getting out of the crate all the time so they set up a video camera. The dog would run from side to side to tip the crate over & then literally squeeze their way out of the bottom of the crate (the openings were larger on the bottom). Maybe you should video tape her to see how she gets the latch open!!
  11. Sorry...all I can do is laugh! I just keep thinking of the dog playing with the styrofoam peanuts!! Did he have them all stuck to him? Because I know I can never get them off of me!!! I am so glad no real damage was done. Just think...you're dress could have been there! (I know...I shouldn't even say that!!)

  13. Killick already has a present under the tree from Poppy Stratton in Newfoundland! And he has a stocking hanging from the fireplace! Because he is still in his chewing phase we will only be getting him KONGS & Nylabones!! And maybe some treats (maybe I'll look into making my own!). Wow...I just looked online for recipes & found this site - Dog Recipes :: Dog Cookie Recipe, Cooking Dog Treats, Homemade Dog Food.. Some of these treats sound really good!
  14. Wow!! That's an amazing gift!!! Tisk, Tisk on you for peeking though!!
  15. I am just wondering if anyone has had free alterations provided by the boutique where they bought their dress? I bought my dress for the same price as everywhere but this boutique offered free alterations! Of course I went with that one - but now I am second guessing myself. What if the seamstress is not very good - or they take a long time? I don't have the fact that I am paying her as leverage! Although, I have paid the full amount for my dress yet, so I could always use that I guess. Why do us brides ALWAYS find something to stress about!!
  16. Exactly 6 Weeks from right now I will be having my last breakfast as a Miss!!! LOL
  17. I'll be having a Backyard BBQ celebration in Newfoundland next summer. So kind of an AHR! FI and I are both from NL! Oh...it's your bday weekend coming up! Any plans?? Want to come to my bach. party?? There will be pole dancing!! LOL

It makes a quiet noise, but it vibrates against her nails quite a bit and she doesn't like it. Also, you have to make sure their nails stick out past their fur or you can catch and pull the hairs. It's probably better for short-haired dogs because of that. Sadie's very fluffy and we have to trim her feet first (which she hates). On the other hand, she's got dark nails and I'm horrified at the thought of using a traditional clipper and cutting her nails too short. But really, for the ease and speed of it, a traditional clipper may be the better way for me to do Sadie's piggies. Killick is short haired so it might work better. He'll probably just try to eat it - like everything else!! How is the de-shedding or brush part of it??
  19. I'm with you. I love my dress...but I'm jumping! And I didn't get that feeling. I have tried it on a couple times since the first time but it didn't fit properly like the first time (I tried it on a multiple locations before I bought it!). I have my first fitting on Saturday and I'm sure I won't be all giddy then either. But I just know that come my wedding day I will be the happiest giddiest (is that a word?!) girl in the Caribbean!!!
  20. In addition to Kayte's comment...you could send out an announcement (ie, we are planning on having a DW sometime in Feb. 2010. We wanted to give everyone the heads up so you can start saving now!!! More details will be sent when we have made our decision). That could just be a postcard type thing (vistaprint has great deals). Then you can save your boarding pass STDs for when you have all the details.
  21. Sounds good to me! I'm around most Sundays. Don't bother me this Sunday though! With my Bach. party on Saturday I plan to not get out of bed!! lol Yay...first Christmas concert!! If they didn't give me time off I"m pretty sure I would leave anyway! lol Make sure you post some pics of her!!
  22. I agree...keep it general until you know the details. People tend to get in a panic if you start changing things (even if they know in advance that it's tentative)!
