  1. Looks great! And you're a natural beauty... you don't need make up. Wish I could say the same.
  2. Soory to hear about the family situation. They can suck sometimes. But at least you said something about it. And since they are not going, you won't have to deal with them on your day.
  3. There is definitely a lot of great advice here. Yes, save, save, save! And do what you can yourself. And go somewhere that will be within your budget. I'm traveling during the off season (so that helps for others that want to join us), making my own Save The Dates and Message in the bottle formal in invites (and wil be doing all the OOt bags, thank you cards, etc myself too). I don't have to save a lot, I get a yearly incentitive package from a work... so next year's package is paying for the entire wedding costs (and half the costs for my parents, his parents, his sister, my MOH, and his BBM).. So I'm lucky that way that we can do what we want to do. Buying stuff on sale helps too. Search online for the best deals. If I find something I like, I search specifically for that item to find the cheapest price. Setting a budget helps keeps things in line. And cutting back in certain areas in daily life things will help. Throw all your change/small bills daily into a container, any cash gifts you receive save it, etc. Every little bit helps.
  4. Awesome pics! The cat has very intense eyes.
  5. Thanks! The orange looks almost pink in the pic though... It's going to be a lot of work to perforator, cut, punch and tie... lol. Almsot half way through.
  6. Ok, I think I may have finished this... I tried to cut back on the number of passes, but couldn't. So I tried to do a double sided print to drop it down to 3 passes... they wouldn't line up the greatest. Then I went back to 5 passes again... lol. I also got rid of the indentation (where it dips in on both sides.. it would have been after the "Ticket To Paradise" because it didn't look nice when I tried cutting...lol). I used a paper cutting board, the corner punches, and perforator. Then used a single hole punch to place a small hole at the top left corner, used a aqua raffia string to tie the passes together with a small "charm" with sayings (ocean, beach, sand, sunny, etc.) I also mentioned in the accommodations about childcare if the bring kids since the Grand doesn't allow them. Also FI changed his mind about paying for people's passes... just incase the number is larger than we think... so I out that there as well, that people will have to purchase their passes day of the wedding. Now I tried making the ticket jacket, but not sure which one to go with....
  7. I agree with the ladies here. Buy what you can afford. There are lots of beautiful rings that are less expensive. Not everyone can spend thousands on rings. Plus then you have the wedding costs on top of the ring.

My family name will be totally dead soon. And it's not a common last name in my province. Of my father's family, he was the only male to had kids, and his sisters had kids. So the family name is not going to be anymore and it does make me sad... unless I don't change the name...
  9. Was it this one? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t26810
  10. Puggles - pugs mixed beagles, are very active dogs and can be hyper. Try reading about breeds, there are lots of various books and mags, or of course the internet. And make sure you buy from a reputable breeder if you are buying a purebred... do lots of research before you buy from a breeder (research the breeds and most important research the breeder)... there are a lot of bad breeders out there, and if you don't know, you might be in for disappointment. Reputable breeders try to improve the lines, get very thorough testing (eyes, hips, etc - not just vet checks and shots), will interview you, etc. Otherwise check your local animal shelter for a great pet... lots of mixed breeds and purebreds there too.
  11. Aww poor fella. My dog had to wear a cone just recently too. He had surgery to get a lump removed from his snout near his eyes. So the cone helped him from scratching at the stitches. With his long hair, it was impossible for the cone to stay on, so I had to put a collar in the loops at the bottom of the cone and it worked. Took a day or 2 for him to get use to it... not hook the corners, to remember to keep his head up while going up the stairs. The cone also made around his neck itchy... he would go nuts when you rubbed his neck... lol. he pushed harder against your fingers to get a good scratching..lol
  12. Nope, those types. I was thinking of getting neck pillows for those that book their flights. Great for supporting the neck while you sleep. Thanks for the link! I tried searching, but I kept getting the inflatable ones, which I didn't want.
  13. Anyone know of any sites that do personalized neck pillows?
  14. Here's another link as well with some cute vinyl luggage tags and passport covers. Travel
  15. Yeah, definitely ask before hand. They might not have an issue with it at all.
  16. Great pics. heehee... I love pet pics. What kind of camera did you use? I'm on the hunt for a new camera.
  17. Sorry to hear about your loss. I am glad too that you were able to spend some time with him recently.
