  1. Enrique just emailed me a waybill number, so you know what that means... The wedding pictures are coming!!! The wedding pictures are coming!!! The wedding pictures are coming!!! The wedding pictures are coming!!! (I'm just a little excited)
  2. Here's our civil vows our resort used. This is the English version. The entire script was also read in Spanish during the ceremony. Quote: Good afternoon everybody……. We are gathered here today to witness the formal joining in the legal state of matrimony of this beautiful couple. In Bucerias Nayarit, today January 21, 2010, we have present in front of us TIMOTHY AND AMY who have come forward to be joined together in union of Matrimony. Marriage, is the legal union, between a man and a woman that join their lives together to enhance the human race and to find eternal happiness. In the marriage, both, the man and the woman have the same rights and obligations to each other and are equal in law. This is the moral way to establish a family, to conserve the human race and to compensate for the imperfections of the individual that cannot be fulfilled within in order to attain the duality of marriage; the married person should, and will be sacred each to the other even more than to them self. The man, TIMOTHY, whose gifts are principally the courage and strength, should give and will give protection, nourishment and direction to the woman, treating her always like the most delicate, sensitive and finest part of himself, and with the generosity and kindness that a man owes to a woman. This is essential when she devotes herself totally to you and when she has been entrusted by society. The woman, AMY, whose gifts are principally the beauty, love and tenderness should give and will give assistance, consolation and advice to the man, treating him always like the person who stands by him and defends her. Each one owes to the other and should have respect, fidelity, confidence and tenderness, both should never do anything to Contradict this union. Both should use wisdom to lessen any faults and never insult because insult between married people dishonor all involved and abuse the strength of the union. Both should cherish and honor this union as the lasting bond that unites our race in the eyes of the man. This is considered the most important component of the society as it is the family they have raised. At his moment and in front of the society, family and friends I would like to ask? TIMOTHY do you accept AMY as your loving wife, to promise to love and respect her all the days of your life? AMY do you accept TIMOTHY as your loving husband, to promise to love and respect him all the days of your life? Now, we will proceed to the exchanging of the rings GROOM:â€I call on those present to witness that I, TIMOTHY, take thee AMY to be my lawful wedded wife, and promise to share with you, all my love and life, in good times and in bad. To respect and cherish you as my wife from this day forward. Nothing shall become more important than our love for each other. BRIDE:â€I call on those present to witness that I, AMY, take thee, TIMOTHY, to be my lawful wedded husband and promise to share with you all my love and life, in good times and in bad. To respect and cherish you as my husband from this day forward. Nothing shall become more important than our love for each other. Haven’t found any impediment within the terms indicated by the Mexican Community to celebrate this marriage, we will now proceed to the signature of the wedding certificate. **FIRMAS** _________ _________ Bride Groom WITNESSES ___________________ ___________________ After having witnessed the signatures of the bride and groom as well as the witnesses, in the name of the society we now declare you united into the matrimony. Congratulations!! Now, you are declared husband and wife in Bandera’s bay. You may now kiss your bride! We had NO idea the vows would be this long or what they would actually be. DH & I are going to print it out & frame it with our favourite ceremony picture.
  3. Hello BDW Members, Some of you may have seen my previous post on this vendor Need your feedback: EM Weddings Photography. DH & I just sent the final payment yesterday and Enrique will be shipping the package to us via courier. Once we receive the package, he will send us the links with the web galleries. Enrique is sending us a DVD with all the images taken during our DW & a letter giving us all the rights. I won't be posting the links directly on the forum, but if anyone wants to see our pictures, please PM me and I can send them to you. Once I have the final product, I will write a review. That should be in the next week or so. I'm not the greatest at that sort of thing, so if anyone has any questions, let me know.

That's awesome!! She was great for us. We asked her to take a picture of us at a special spot on the resort and she said it was no problem. We went to the same resort 5 years ago when we were dating and got a picture of us sitting on a bench. Now we have a wedding picture of us on the same bench!!
  5. Just got a message from Enrique. He said, and I quote, "Your photos are ready and let me tell you that they are "beautiful" I'm sure that you will love them very much Your video will be ready probably tomorrow." Sooooooo excited!!! LOL

  7. Hello ladies, I stumbled upon this online from geeksugar.com and thought some of you might find it helpful... From Official Google Blog: Quote: Simple wedding planning with Google Docs 2/11/2010 10:01:00 AM (Cross posted on the Google Docs Blog) We all want important life moments — like graduating from school, getting married or having your first baby — to be perfect. For many couples, your wedding is a chance to celebrate with everyone you care about; it's also the largest, most complicated party you'll ever host. From tracking guest RSVPs, to picking the right florist, DJ and caterer, to coordinating every last detail with your wedding party, it's no surprise that the process can become overwhelming and expensive. After proposing to the woman of my dreams with 100 red roses, six months ago I started planning my own wedding. My fiancee and I decided to use Google Docs to manage every aspect of our wedding, starting with shared budget, guest list, to-do list and venue-tracking spreadsheets and keeping all our docs in our "Wedding" shared folder. I ended up talking to other couples who planned their weddings using Google Docs and discovered I wasn't alone in thinking that it helped save time and avoid headaches. Today, I'm happy to share this knowledge in the form of over 20 wedding templates available in the Google Docs template gallery. These tools make it easy to estimate and track your wedding budget, collect addresses for invitations, compare vendors and much more. For example, take a look at the address book template below. Instead of emailing hundreds of guests and copy/pasting hundreds of addresses into a spreadsheet, you can send a Google form and collect addresses in a spreadsheet automatically. Because these documents, spreadsheets and forms live online in the cloud, you can easily get help by sharing them with your parents or bridal party, and you can access them from the bakery, bridal shop or anywhere around town using your smartphone. Plus, you never have to worry about versions and email attachments, because everything is always up to date. Having the tools to plan a wedding is a good start, but you also need to know what questions to ask when interviewing vendors and which factors to consider when inviting guests or choosing music. To give you a leg up, we've teamed up with StyleMePretty.com, a popular wedding blog, to add tips from wedding experts to each template. StyleMePretty is also hosting a sweepstakes and asking engaged couples to share their wedding planning experiences. One randomly selected winner will receive free consultation with celebrity event planner Michelle Rago and a $500 gift certificate to Wedding Paper Divas. We're excited to give more engaged couples tools to make the wedding planning process easier and more fun. 11. #1 - light tampons - yes ladies, you are reading that correctly lol I had a brief "incident" in Puerto Vallarta and couldn't find any at Soriana. Next time I will definitely bring a couple. #2 - too many tank tops. I didn't even wear them all!!
  12. Here's a non-pro picture from our wedding on January 21st:
  13. This is all quite interesting... I called my Ministry of Vital Statistics yesterday and they said for me to use a notarized translated copy & the original to change my name. I'm from BC so it's obviously different than Ontario. Once I get it done I'll update this thread.

I'm not good at that sort of thing but I'll do the best I can.
  15. Hellooooooo I'm back!!! Everything was totally amazing and it went by soooo fast!! I'm so DONE with wedding planning and I'm looking forward to the professional pictures. After I get my dress to the dry cleaners I'll start posting non-pro pics (don't have many yet), a review of the Decameron & Enrique.
  16. I'm halfway done packing!! Yipee!! FI has been quite active on FB with the count down to Mexico & getting married. It's very cute!! 3 more sleeps!!
  17. We arrive on Saturday night, so if I can find internet access at the resort, I will update you ladies on our experience with the OOT bags.

I managed to get them all in a carry-on sized luggage. My sister said she would take it down for me and bring the empty suitcase back. Now I just have to photocopy the receipts & bring the originals with me.

Still have to finish the welcome letter and the Martha Stewart guest directory. Here's a picture for your viewing pleasure: I'm finally done!!! I've added a pack of fresh mint Tic Tac's to each bag. I'm buying the actual bags (to put the stuff in) once we get there, for that authentic touch, and an added bonus, I don't have to pack it... he he he 3 cheers for me!!
  20. I have enough posts now so I was able to download it!! Thanks for sharing the information!!

Everything is almost ready, except for packing!! Just have to go to Staples & print out some stuff and copy the OOT bag receipts. 2 weeks until we're married, 9 more sleeps until we go!!
  22. That's precisely why I bought the Advil 10's. They're better for hangovers than Tylenol and they're small enough to fit in the OOT bags. I'm buying the bags down there too. I'm also adding the free Spanish phrases & 101+ people places & things to do in PV.
  23. Thanks for your support and advice ladies!! She hasn't called me back yet, but when she's ready, I'll go visit her in the treatment center. 16 days to go!!!
