  1. I can totally understand your reaction of crying. That's something I would have done in the past. Since I have learned ways to deal with it differently. Sometimes the crying just happens because all of your emotions need to come out and your mind and body can't get together to get it done right. Don't feel badly about crying. Next time she's confronting you or you even have to deal with her remind yourself that she's is just a person too, and don't give your power and self control over to her. That has helped me "toughen up" if that's the right word for it. I too like the other posters wish I could help you kick some ass . It's sad when you realize not everyone in the world is reasonable to some degree. It's really depressing when have to work with the nut bags! Document everything, what she is doing is very manipulative, abusive, and controlling. She's 100% being passive agressive with you. She is trying to draw those reactions out of you. Don't give her what she's wants! She probably feeds off the drama and if it wasn't you and her it would be her and someone else. Good luck, don't take it, and tell your boss.
  2. What a fun and crazy experience! We need pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Another option if you are looking to speed up or slow down a specific clip is to: Click on the clip you are working with, right click your mouse (I think), choose "video effects" and from there you can select to speed up the clip double time or slow it down. There are a few other great options under that screen too. I hope this makes sense. I have a raging migraine but of course can't stay away from BDW, even when sick...

  5. I'm so sad about Randy Pausch... I watched him on Oprah last year and his Last Lecture was amazing, inspiring, life changing. If you haven't seen it, it's worth your time. Anyone else follow his story? RIP Here's a link if you are interested. Scroll to the bottom and you can be linked to his Last Lecture. An Enduring Legacy - Carnegie Mellon University

  8. Dear Hair Dresser Lady, Why did you ask me if I was going to go on a crash diet for my wedding yesterday? Did I roll into my appointment this time or something? Thanks for the innocent comment that I am probably reading into. WOW....I feel better already!
  9. Maybe you all already know this but according to one BB website Ollie and April did the nasty a few nights ago and it was on the live feeds! Do they forget America is watching?!?!?! Damn!
  10. Jessie's goodbye speech to Steven....holy self-centered!!! It was hilarious when Julie Chen asked him why he thinks his fellow houseguests assume he's all muscle and no brains and his response was..."can you repeat the question". Pretty funny! I'm really hoping Jessie get's sent packing soon. They haven't showed this yet (I don't think) but apparently Jerry likes to talk about sex and it's starting to bother everyone. I heard there is a small anti-Jerry movement going through the house now.
  11. I'm so excited for you!!! Everyone with weddings coming up must be ready to pee their pants!!!!!!!

Hopefully they don't post giant size! Here it goes... Angel Grandma (screencap from DVD so it's blurry)
  13. Thank you for the nice comments! They really made me smile! It's such a great memory I'll always look back on. I need to learn how to attach pictures because I have a few fun ones from the moment he proposed.
  14. I dreamt about the forum last night too!!! OMG! It was one of my first wedding disaster dreams. I dreamt it was 2 hours before our flight to Miami and I hadn't packed a single item and didn't have my paperwork together! I was frantically searching my computer for the packing list I had saved from BDW so I knew what to bring. I'm still 6 months out and the dreams have started!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. This is one situation that doesn't require compromise
  16. Wow ladies!! VERY sexy! Did you all ask the photographer to take a few sexier pictures or did they just say start making out!!!
  17. My FI and I met about 15 years ago at Pizza Hut of all places! I was in high school and working there as a waitress. He was friends with a coworker and stopped by to visit. He was a total goofball and I was instantly drawn to him. We spent the next two years building an excellent friendship. On a random day while watching a movie together we both fell asleep. We woke up, face-to-face, and he kissed me. After that moment I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. We’ve been together ever since, for 13 years! The reason I mention all of that is because after being together for so long I started to think we’d never get engaged. I’m sure others have gone through the rollercoaster of emotions on holidays, special days, vacations, wondering if it’s going to happen and the disappointment when it doesn’t. It just never seemed to work out for us and the different situations in our lives. Fast forward to July 2007… My family had rented a cabin on a lake for a week. While at the cabin we celebrated my 30th birthday. It was a super fun day; we floated on the lake, swam, and went out for a great dinner! After dinner we went back to the cabin and suddenly my entire family began running around as if they were getting something ready. I was very confused and the only thing they’d tell me was to sit down and wait. I’m thinking, what the heck are they doing?!?!?! Suddenly the music from The Price is Right starts playing and my uncle walks out dressed like Bob Barker! I love The Price is Right so my family put together a replica of the entire game show for us to play for my birthday! They made props, name tags, decorations, wrote a script for the host "Bob Barker", and organized 6 games…it was amazing!! After about an hour of playing along, my dad told me I won the showcase and to sit in a chair they had placed in the middle of the room so I could claim my prize. My mom and aunt who had planned the entire thing were very confused because they hadn’t planned a showcase. My dad insisted so I sat down and waited. I could see my FI out of the corner of my eye and he looked a little nervous. At that moment it hit me like a ton of bricks! I couldn’t believe what was about to happen, especially after 13 years! Probably only about 10 seconds passed after I realized what was going to happen but it felt like FOREVER! I was so nervous, excited, and pretty much freaking out all while trying to pretend like I wasn’t on to him! He finally walked up next to me, got down on his knee, and said “so are you going to marry me or what?!†It was so funny and sweet and I wrapped my arms around him and cried for the next 5 minutes! The only person who knew what was about to happen besides my FI was my dad. My FI had asked his permission earlier in the day and recruited him to help with the surprise ending of the game show. The best part of the entire event is my grandma was able to be a part of it. I think she cried more than I did! She was so excited about our engagement and couldn’t wait to get home and tell her friends what had happened at the cabin. She passed away about two months after our engagement so it was all bitter sweet. She knew we were planning a DW cruise and she was trying to figure out how to take money out of her savings so she could be there for our wedding! She had a huge heart and loved us all tons (just like we loved her). We will definitely have a toast to grandma on our wedding day!
  18. I can appreciate your attempt to make a old tradition your own. I would guess that your FI won't want to have your help getting ready? It takes the fun out of the whole walk down the aisle thing. Plus, I agree with the previous post, it's girl time. I think breakfast together in the morning is a wonderful idea!
