Does your FI/DH know how much you weigh?
OROBride1008 replied to jk1101's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
My FI knows how much I weigh. He is very tall and thin and I am 5'10'' and very broad. I always played sports and worked out so I have always been muscular. When i first stepped on the scale and told him, he was very supportive. Every week that I weigh in for the BDW season 6 i get excited telling him how much I have lost. We went this weekend and he helped me pick out some new clothes since mine were to big. He also seems to think that now that I am getting skinny, i am going to leave him for someone else, but he is just kidding...lol He will love you if he knows the number or not. The number doesn't change anything. -
I will definitely keep you ladies posted. As of right now the game plan is to wait out and see over the next 90 days if he gets laid off. If he does we will head to the courthouse the next day. If he doesn't then as long as no one will give me a problem with the temporary license, we will just do it down there. Thanks for all your help ladies :0)

Thanks ladies for all your comments. I didn't know that they give you a temporary license when you get married at the Riu. That may work. I will ask my benefits person Monday. If he does end up getting laid off, then we will just go down to the courthouse and make it an intimate affair between just us. Thanks again :0)

So my FI works for a company that has been doing some major layoffs. The company just got bought out by another company and he is sure that he will be next to go. The problem is, my FI sees a cardiologist due to previous chest pains, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and anxiety. If he gets laid off he could pick up COBRA, but even with the Obama stimulus it is still kinda high. So I looked to see if his doctors were covered under my plan and they are. So when I spoke with my benefits person at work, I thought we could qualify as domestic partner because we have lived together for 2 and a half years, but they only honor same sex. So I asked her what his coverage date would be when we get married, and she told me I have to produce a marriage license within 30 days of our wedding date. We all know from this website that that's not going to happen. They won't extend the deadline either. So the only way I can get a marriage certificate within 30 days is to go to the courthouse. I know everyone is telling me to look at it like just doing paperwork and I will, but it is just a bummer and I am kinda disappointed.

I just want to say thank you to all the girls on this website. You ladies really inspire me. I have seen the MIB invites and thought how great they looked and decided I wanted them for my bridal shower. With the girls helpful hints and great ideas this is what I did... I purchased the supplies from Sand Art Supplies Sand Blast Entertainment After we printed the invites on parchment paper, we burned the edges and the name tags. My MOH was a good helper... What the invites look like burned Here is the sand we used and supplies After that we put an umbrella and 3 small shells in each bottle Then we rolled them, using a pencil, thanks to the bride that gave me that idea because it worked great Next we tied Rafia around the middle of the invite with a string long enough to come out of the bottle and tie to the name tag And here is the finished product... Thanks again ladies for all of your help... :0) Maria

Wedding in 5 months, only 5 booked so far!!!???
OROBride1008 replied to michelle6114's topic in Just venting or funnies
My wedding date is 7 days after yours and I am dealing with the same thing. The only difference is that I have been engaged for 2 years in August and booked last July so people would have plenty of time to make monthly payments. My FI's mom keeps saying that she is going, but she hasn't even put down the deposit. We only have 4 people booked so far. My 2 MOH's and BM haven't even booked yet. I know they will, but it can be frustrating. I looked at FI and told him, I don't care who goes as long as we are there together. -

You have awesome stuff... I'm interested in the 5 candy scoops. Do the chinese take out containers have anything on them or are they plain white? Do you have one white parasol left? I am looking for one that on the top is all white. I purchased a white parasol and the top have brown painted where the wood was and it looked sloopy because it bled onto the white paper. Thanks for sharing. Maria -
So I went back and forth about if I should wear my wedding dress or not for the TTD session. My mom isn't ablt to go to Jamaica, but she will be coming to our AHR, so I really didn't want to wear my wedding dress for the TTD, so I started looking for another dress. I wanted something similar to my wedding dress and came accross a halter which is like my wedding dress, of course I didn't have the money at the time to buy it. So I continued to check on it online and after that first time I saw it, it was never available in ivory again. The only colors available were red and blue. I was devestated. I went to Dillards to see if they carry it in the store and they carried Betsey & Adams dresses, but not the ivory halter I was looking for. I didn't know what to do, so I put it on the back burner for awhile. I came accross a VS catalog and saw a cotton long white halter dress for $39 I decided to get it as I knew if it woudn't work for the TTD that I could wear it to dinner one night. I bought the dress, and loved it. After I tried the dress on I knew I couldn't wear it in the water because it was cotton, but I decided to wear the cotton dress for y AHR since it is more casual and wear my actual wedding dress to trash. I felt good with the decision I made and then... I happened to be going through my favorite websites and I said, let me delete this since I have it worked out now, but I'll check one last time and what did you know, the dress was available in only ivory and in my size... I was excited...I just got it today and love it :0) Sorry for the long story but I wanted you ladies to know that patience is a virtue.

If Cali doesn't get them for some reason. I would like them. -
I'm so excited. I've never been at the top before. What I did differently this week was I started to count calories. It may seem like a pain in the but to measure everything out but I put myself on a 1500 calorie diet and I exercise and it is working. I have P90X so I do that. I also just ordered Core Rythms, the latin dancing dvds. I will let you know how it is once I get it. Thanks for all the support. I couldn't do this without you all. Let's keep it going ladies. We can do this!!!
