I'm not getting married until Oct of 2009, but my TA offered a deal that if people booked before 8/15/08 she would give them a discount so I sent them out 2 weeks ago.

Is it ok to have a bridal shower if you are having a DW? More so, do you only invite the people you invited to the DW to the shower? Or do I have to have a AHR to be able to have a bridal shower and invite other people who weren't invited to the DW? Any thoughts on this would be great.

Thanks for sharing. I am buying it. I wasn't sold on the sand ceremony until I saw that one. It has a topper and everything which will make transport back home nicer.

Msasfraz, Did you get your parasols yet? How do they look? Who are you giving them to the BM? I am not a flower person and was thinking that my girls might hold them.

Are you guys giving these to guests or are the BM holding them? I am not a flower person and I am looking for something else my girls can hold...Any ideas?

I live right around the corner from Target and about 2 weeks ago I bought 8 green and 8 pink because those are my colors. Since my wedding is so far out I don't know how many I will need so last week I was there and they had green so I picked up 2 more and today they had pink, so I picked up more pink. Don't give up on Target yet, they may just be in the back in a box. I love them and I plan on filling some of the space with a towel.

Does the DJ get with you ahead of time to find out what type of music you want played? Or how does that work?

I know this is probably out there somewhere, but I am new with all of this. This is what I wanted to know. I have a TA that is making STD letters with the travel info and I also bought STD magnets to go with the letter. I am wondering if at that point I should make something on a separate sheet of paper saying there is going to be an ATW party when we get back for those that can't come? So if everyone gets the travel info with the dates, do I still need to send out invitations for the wedding? I know I will need to have them for the party because there are other guests that I am inviting that I know won't come to Jamaica with us. Just wondering what you guys did in regards to this. Thanks for your help.
