I hope that after these people watch the show they are sooooo embarrassed! I probably won't make an effort to watch again... I agree I hope the rest of the season isn't like that. I love watching RBPB. I haven't seen one yet with a girl that acted like a bridezilla til last night. I watch RBPB because it's normally a show with beautiful brides planning their beautiful weddings, and its very interesting to see what people get w/ their budget.
  2. I say to stick it out a little longer on this one. This really sucks! I don't really know what to say cause your wedding is next month. I have only been on one pill in my life then after our baby I'm now have paraguard, amazing! But, I say to hold out, cause it's only be 2.5 weeks since you switched.
  3. Bridezillas are bridezillas for attention and their family, friends, and FI allow them to act that way! Like the one yesterday where she was flat out rude to her FI saying he was fat (when she needed to look in a mirror, they were the same size!) an getting an etiquette coach. If it were me and my FI acted that way, we would be finished! Ya the RBPB was the crazy "renovation" girl, and was upset through it all too!
  4. I saw that Bridezilla episode too, but its expected from Bridezillas. I recorded Rich bride, Poor bride cause I wanted to watch a show w/ normal girls planning beautiful weddings. But this girls was CRAZY! i didn't even watch the whole thing cause I was so fed up bridezillas all day I couldn't stand it anymore.
  5. What about these? FLOWER GIRL POMANDER BALLS - eBay (item 270123264315 end time Dec-13-08 04:54:12 PST) 6" FUCHSIA KISSING SILK ROSES BALL WEDDING DECORATIONS - eBay (item 260190314758 end time Dec-28-08 16:00:01 PST) Have you though of making one on your own? They are fairly simple. you'd just get whatever size styrofoam ball that you want. Pick out some ribbon. Run a dowel through the styro ball and then feed your ribbon through and tie at the bottom. Then pick whatever flowers you want and cut them put a little glue on the bottom and stick them in the styrofoam ball until its covered, and voila!
  6. We don't want the normal staged family photos etc. Maybe 1 or 2 w/ the whole family. The rest I just want of us all messing around, not anything set up. I want her to work at different angles than getting the same ceremony pics that everyone gets. I love pictures that come from crazy angles. We were going to customize our package w/ what photos we want, but we have decided to just go with package 2. We just want photos of our ceremony which will only be 15 minutes, and then a fun hour of photos after that. You have to pay an additional $300 to any package for the negatives of ALL the pictures she takes, and then the pics she's edited. She will give you a letter to allow you to reprint her picks, so I'm going to just take my negatives and decide what pictures I want and what sizes and have them printed at home. Plus she's willing to travel where ever we want to do photos.
  7. honestly, i can't remember how i found her, it may have been the forum. I did ALOT of searching. One of the biggest reasons we chose her was budget. We have an 8 month old baby and just don't have $10,000+ to spend. Having money in case of emergency w/ her is more important to us. Our original budget was $15,000 but once I became pregnant we pushed back the wedding and lowered our budget to $5500. So her prices were AMAZING! And even better w/ TTD Then of course we had to look at her work. The best thing about her work, I think, is she's done so many different weddings. I felt like when I looked at other photogs that they had beautiful photos, but I was looking at the same style photos with different couples. We wanted someone who would give us something our own. I've been in touch w/ and I'm constantly throwing different ideas at her and she loves and is willing to anything She's been so pleasant that we're thinking of spending the extra money (since we've already gone over budget $900 for real flowers) to have her longer than originally planned. She's also been so great that if we wanted to add anything to our package she'll negotiate w/ us. I contacted several photogs, but I kind of felt like they gave me facts about their service and weren't really wanting to know what I wanted and if they were willing to do something they didn't normally do. As soon as I contacted her, she was okay w/ anything I wanted and willing to do something she's never tried or even thought of. After talking w/ her, I new I wanted her. Sorry, its so long hope it might help. If you haven't contacted her, I suggest go ahead and do so, even if its just an email. She's a delight and will get back to VERY quickly.
  8. I have actually hired her. We're getting married after you so I don't have any photos. Thus far she is really great to work w/, speedy responses, I asked her to find me a location that is beach w/ a cenote near by and she's been working on it for me. And she has GREAT prices, especially if you do a TTD w/ her. Her TTD shoot is $400 if you book your photography w/ her, or $500 if you just want TTD. Her deposit fee is $250 and she gets your photos back to you within like 8 days. Here's her email: [email protected] She responds very quickly. I don't know how much of her work you've seen but here is her website. Home Lidya Solemidt Photographer She also has a blog you can check out Lidya Solemidt
  9. love these stockings! where are they from?? Thank you, Abbie! We got them from pottery barn, actually pottery barn kids. They are last years season. I bought them for Joe & I and now that we have a little one I got hers off ebay. They are HUGE! Also, my FMIL has this tree that is all matchy matchy w/ gold garland, a pre-lit tree and all matching bulbs, and then she has the same pickle ornament as you!!! Its just hooked in and doesn't fit the rest of the tree, but she loves it!
  10. Congratulations, YAY!!! Everything looks great! Have the best time of your life!!!
  11. Chiquita you are AMAZING!!!! I tried reading the canadian post regulations on shipping alcohol, and it's SO confusing! The only thing I got out of it, was that it was allowed as long as the receiving country allows it. I know our state doesn't allow alcohol to shipped to a resident so I'd have it shipped to our lake house in Idaho. We have an Uncle who lives a few hours north of us a few miles from the Alberta border. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if he can go look for us. If he can't I will call the USPS and Canada Post to verify that we can legally do it. THANK YOU!!!!
  12. I don't know about Eastern Canada much. I know that Molson distributes it so I'm assuming Toronto would have it somewhere. And I know Vancouver does. I will look for some exact places.
  13. Our reception is on the beach, although we'll be eating & dancing under a large palapa. Lots of girls have done the beach reception. The only thing that you'll really have to work out, is if you want to dance in the sand, and lighting. you can do tiki torches and string lighted lanterns between the trees.
  14. it's the only beer they sell and it's not listed on their site, you have to go down there to get it. They don't list it cause they can't ship it. It's the only place in the US to sell it. Victoria Bitter They said that you actually have to be there to purchase it, etc. They have alot of regulations w/ it, it may be easier if one of the canadian girls could get it for me.
  15. Hey girls so I posted a thread before http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33110 but I'm REALLY REALLY wanting some Victoria Bitter for Christmas. I will definitely pay for the beer, the shipping and if you need gas money, or anything I will pay extra! I know Cellar 360 in San Fransisco has it, but their license restricts them from shipping the Victoria Bitter. They said that you would have to come down there and pick it up. i also know its sold in Canada, Molson distributes it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and I'd forever in debt to you, anything you ever needed!
  16. I want a fuschia color. I ordered swatches from weddingtutus and their fuschia had a lot of purple in it. Their raspberry color was PERFECT. I have the swatch and could send it to you when I figure out her measurements. How far in advance do you need her measurements. She's only 8 months now, so I wanna wait until she about a year in April
  17. Here are a few: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31188 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16771 AmyInSydney's DIY templates and collection of knottie ideas
  18. search welcome books and search passports and you'll find SEVERAL templates! Many of us have done the passports
  19. OMG!!!! I'm soooo excited! I was going to order a tutu for my daughter for our wedding from wedding tutus. She's our flower girl and will be almost 16 months old for our wedding. Do you have color swatches? Are you able to make them a little bit longer than in the photos? I want it to be short and poofy, like the one w/ the little girl in light pink and pink petals around her, but maybe a little poofier, and different color. I'm sooo excited cause you are cheaper than weddingtutus and a BDW girl.... now you just need leotards!
  20. I love this! We aren't doing alot of decorating this year, cause we're moving into our new house the week after Christmas and we don't want to have that much more to take down and pack up. Here is our tree: And our stockings, I wish he had a mantle for them cause the long edge is 27.5" and the foot is 11" its hard to find somewhere to hang them!
  21. i'm also using fishing line. We're hanging each one separately from the ceiling of the palapa our reception is in. It really depends on how you want to hang them. You could tie them along a string, although you'd probably need to tie knots around each one so they don't all slide together.
  22. $1000 is definitely good for us, but at our hotel they have a bunch of bungalows w/ a large courtyard w/ bbq's. And we've rented out all of the bungalows. So we're just going to Costco and getting burgers and stuff and having a big bbq on the beach! We're having 40 people, I don't have any idea what it would be like for a restaurant.
  23. Hi JLC- So you will send payment to Ann and your money goes into the pot. Then we will start Jan.7 and you send Ann a message of your weight and picture of the scale showing your weight (just to eliminate cheating). Then Ann will calculate the percentage of body weight you have lost for that week. So if you weigh 150 and you lose 5 lbs your percentage loss will be 0.967%. Then she will post a list of the percentage each person lost and who won that week. You don't get anything for the week, just motivation to keep going. Every week you will continue to message Ann and give your weight and a photo, you'll do this for 12 weeks. At the end of 12 weeks Ann will calculate everyone's total percentage weight loss and whoever is highest wins the pot! Hope that helps

  25. We are also doing a mix. Ours will have the first aid kits cause people don't usually think of bringing one w/ them. But we're adding frisbees, beach balls, everyone gets a beach mat. Then we're going to be there a week in advance and have to go to Costco anyway, so we're going to pick up some authentic local stuff to fill the rest of the bags up.
