I am putting pink floralytes in the bottom and covering them with silk fuschia rose petals and filling the vase with water. Balsacircle did ok, I wish they had been shipped in better packaging as some of the flowers came off the styrofoam during transit and I had to put several back together. I shipped mine yesterday to the caterer who is setting everything up for me and UPS ground it was less than $20. My centerpiece will sit on a black/white damask runner and/or black lace...I am considering alternating tables. wow sounds beautiful, do you have a picture of how you are setting them on top of that vase? I was thinking of maybe setting them inside of a wicker basket. I saw it and thought it was cute but I am now considering just cutting them like I was told but I dont know if adding rose petals will take the look away from the balls...I was thinking of doing tea lights, the battery operated ones. I cant ship anything to Dreams because they refuse to accept anything prior to your wedding so im stuck lugging it with me

I did myne a little smaller than a postcard...But again, it also depends what you are saying..I just did a little thank you on them...something similar to this

DH, MIL, godmother and myself each took a box and my mom took the carry-on (we were all fortunate to have booked before the extra fee for the second bag). What kind of flowers were you thinking of using?? My FG's each had a small pomander with green buttons and they were about $25 each. The pomanders in our centerpeices were carnations I believe. We paid about $65 for each centerpeice total. Are you using a florist from your hotel?? I remember Anny (anacgarcia) hired her own florist who did an amazing job in Cancun. edit: I found her florist http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8589-2 Thank you so much Amy...I owe you..

Floral Foam Sphere - 6" I was thinking of doing real flowers but I just got the price back and its $100.00 per ball...So now Im debating whether I should fake flowers myself and take them with me over there.....I just saw your entire planning and omg..great job girl, I dont know how you managed to take all that in the airplane, your centerpieces were amazing I saw a little kissing ball in there...so pretty with the manzanilla trees

  6. Hi everyone.. After I received that high $200 price for my centerpieces I have decided to go with something a little less , Im hoping and have decided to do hot pink pomanders/kissing balls all down my table with tealights...so the question is, how can I make them stay in one place without them rolling around? My wedding will be on the beach so Its going to be windy...Pls help! Should I stand them on something? i figured if I did it would take the look away from the ball...
  7. I am going with the raffia fans also but undecided whether I should do magenta fans with a white ribbon or regular color with a magenta ribbon around it...help!!

BTW, your centerpieces are beautiful! Nice choice. I thought about that also but carrying all these flowers and stuff really scares me just cause I dont want to get anything lost. But Im also considering Walmart and going there to see what they have..$200.00 is such a rip off, out here in CA something like this runs you about $60.00

Paula does Dreams allow you to run petals down the isle before the procession, I would want tons of them on there.
  10. Hi everyone, so I emailed Claudia today about my centerpieces and she quoted me $200.00 per piece....is she crazy? my Gosh, I almost fell off my chair when I read that...I know I read somewhere the name of a flower shop in cancun that can possibly cater to dreams? Would it be possible to have someone make my centerpieces like a flower shop and bring them in? Or does anyone have the telephone number to that shop? $200- is seriously way outta my budget.. Here is a pic of my centerpieces

I was thinking of paying my wedding upfront too just cause I dont want to spend that money I prefer to just pay it all and not worry about it...I would love to hear opinions on this one..

Is a program even needed for a sand ceremony? Great, now I have to get on the ball for that........
  18. Ok so this is what I have came down to... The Ultimate Package includes the 3 hours of open bar correct? Any other additional guests above the 20 people we have, we must pay $30.00+ for drinking (3-hours) Now anything above the three hours, for example we want 4 we MUST pay for all guests!! Am I wrong? I know there is a drinking fee, thinking of this is making me drunk myself...lol

I would like to get the $30 back and will ship for free in the US. PM me if you want them. Thanks! I am planning on order the hot pink ones...How do they look... are they cheap looking
  20. I'm selling this dress for $70.00 if anyone is interested. It was purchased for $240.00. I literally wore it for about 3 hours at my friends wedding and I was done with it. Its a size 8 and its big on me so I have no use for it again. Its never been altered and its in great condition. Its a very cute dress and has a little fish tail in the back. I am also selling my daughter's Sweet Beginnings Designer flower girl dress, I paid $140.00 for it and I am willing to let it go to someone who can really use it for $50.00. White/Victorian, sleeveless bodice with pleated satin waistband and flower. Full wrap skirt with ruffle hem. white and chocolate brown accent Quote: And I also have a white brand new one still in package with beige/baby pink flowers in the front kind of like a small belt with a matching hair piece to match kind of like a little crown made out of the same flowers as the dress. I am wiilling to sell that one at $30.00, its a size 4...looks something like this
  21. Even though some of my guests are staying at Dreams, the Ultimate Package only serves alcohol to 20 guests anything over that is like $30.00+ per person to drink unlimited for 3 hours. I also tried to go around that but they said NO. I am still confused about this as well, it does sounds like a rip off if you are staying at the hotel and still have to pay for additional alcohol for your guests...
  22. I am getting married May 14 of next year and I already bought my dress also. i wouldnt worry... its just you saving money and being the excited bride like myself...Congrats!
