  1. Welcome! Good picks and expensive ones I would of loved to have my wedding at palmilla. Amazing place. We are getting married at the Westin and staying at the Riu palace. But I know that the Hilton and Sheraton are also very nice but not on your list. Dreams is all inclusive and much cheaper then the others. Good luck with all your planning
  2. how much were the tanks guys when they were on sale? Dd they go down to $9.95? BTW new code out for 15% off - BBQ7

    Hi

    Welcome Amee!
  6. Ive heard many great things about weddings at the ROR - good choice! By doing a search you will find lots of info/reviews on weddings a this resort. Good luck and WELCOME!!!
  7. oh no! Thanks for letting us know. I would ask for the manager and call again!! If it's a company mistake it's no your prob!
  8. yes just do a search and you will find it all I think you should go with the steakhouse. It has a nice outdoor eating area ( facing ocean) that many brides really liked and I don't think they had to pay a fee but I might be wrong. Welcome!
  9. These are the two pictures I gave her and she took it from there...it was amazing how she did it. Having Adam take out all the pins was funny too...all 84 of them!! Thank you! Wow she's amazing...It looks the same!
  10. good luck! You can get a last minute deal 2-3 weeks before departure. Just look into the resort your picking because I sometimes find that last minute deal resorts can be crappy. Just look at reviews before booking. I think it's a great idea!!! Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor

I think you might want to look into this if you're feeling uneasy... Heather, where are you having your ceremony and reception?
  13. What I did is I"m having all my guest stay at the Riu including myself. All inclusive close to downtown, so good location. I really like the resort but would not get married there. What I'm doing is having a bus transport all guest to my wedding location. For example have bus bring everyone from the the riu to the sheraton or the Westin or ..... We did NOT need to have any rooms blocked at these hotels...you pay a fee to have it and that is it. Westin changes us 500$ for the location fee plus drinks, food etc...We also hired Maye as coordinator on top of the reg coordinator. IMO coordinator are very busy ppl so i wanted my own just to make sure that everything was under control. Any questions pls feel free to PM me. Good luck!
  14. I didn't want to deal with any of this so we decided to have our wedding off site at the Westin. We are all staying at the RIU though.I don't trust the coordinators at the RIU palace. I'm happy you figured something out last minute.

Ya cause that looks like whipped cream not butter cream. I think I will ask for fondant. Do you know what the cutting fee is if you bring in a cake? oh and was your wedding the only wedding of the day at the westin?

We did passed appetizers, and I had been worried it wasn't enough, and there left overs. We had bruschetta (didn't try it), sausage in a pastry puff (didn't try), the baguette crouton with blue cheese and candied walnuts (so good!), and chicken wing with mango dip (also very good). Yes, the drinks were good. The bar, we did a basic bar, that I negotiated with Lorena. We had wine, beer, pina coladas, and margaritas, soft drinks, and water. We did this for 4 hours. We had a lot of drinkers in our group, and it turned out perfectly. Everyone drank for the 4 hours and beyond. And, most everyone just drinks beer and wine, so there was not really any reason to have the full on bar there. I'm so happy the food was good. We will go with the sea bass and the chicken one...Did the Westin want to know ahead of time how many wanted the pork and how many the sea bass? We got basic bar as well and had to really BEG for it! I don't think we got wine in ours?!? Was the wine in the basic bar? wow, that's amazing if it was! I'm looking into sweet dreams for my cake now..I really want a nice cake and the icing really looks whipped!
