  1. There are a lot of girls on here that didn't/aren't having a bridal party. There is nothing wrong with that. You need to do what you want to do.
  2. Welcome to the forum and enjoy planning!!!
  3. It is not rude at all to not have kids at the AHR. Especially since you don't have room. If people start complaining, then you can let them know that there is a limited amount of room for people, so if kids are coming, you will have to revise the guestlist and will have to make cuts. You could always tell them if you make cuts to the guest list, you want to be fair, so you are going to draw names to see who gets to come! LMAO!!!! Anyways, if I was invited to a party with no kids, I would take advantage of a night away from the kids. We will be having kids at our AHR but we have 2 kids, and we don't want to leave them out, and they aren't going to have much fun without other kids. I think that we migh find a couple babysitters that can take the kids into another room during most of the evening and do activities with them. We went to a wedding like that and each kid gota goodie bag with fun items appropriate for their age. I think they even had supper in the other room too, so the parents could enjoy their food.
  4. Those pics turned out really great. You look absolutely gorgeous!!! It looks like you had a great time. A reunion trip sounds like it would be a great idea!
  5. I made DVD's of pics after our trip to Disneyland for everyone, and I used Movie maker. I didn't have any problems with it, and I had music laying in the background. You could always do a test run, and put a song on the different programs with pics (not the full version you are going to be making) and then try to burn it onto a DVD and see if it works!
  6. That is sooo exciting. I am very happy for the two of you. I think you should just go and get your hair and nails done so you are ready for whenever he shows up to surprise you.
  7. I ordered the digital negatives, and should be getting them within the next couple weeks. Then I thought that I would make a book for him. Not sure if I will get a photoalbum and do it or if I am going to order a book from shutterfly or something. I am going to give it to him in the Dominican on our wedding day.
  8. Thanks Danielle and Celina!!! I couldn't stop looking at them lastnight, cause I couldn't believe they were me!!! Larry had fallen asleep on the couch and when I was looking at them, he started stirring, so I had to be very careful, but yet couldn't do the smart thing and close the window and wat until today to look at them more. He didn't wake up and see them, but I was scrambling a couple of times to hide them! LOL
  9. Thank you everyone! I kept looking back at them lastnight becase I couldn't believe it was me!!! Erin - As for the JD shirt, I was going to wear the shirt he got when he cme down to see me when I was in school right after we started dating, but I couldn't find it. He does have other western shirts, but it just wouldn't be the same, so I went and got him a new one. This is the shirt I got for him, and then I gave it to him when I got home. What he doesn't realize is that I wore it first. LOL! When I gave it to him, he was all excited because he has wanted that shirt for awhile now, so I guess it was a really good choice!
  10. Ok girls. I had my BD session and would totally recommend it!!! Do it!!! Erica is really sweet and makes you feel calm and relaxed right away. I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up but hadn't had any lunch to do so. Then I fumbled around in the bathroom trying to get changed and as soon as I walked into the room, we got to business. She came to look at my outfits before I got ready for the shoot, and she just directed me as to where she wanted me and who she wanted me. It was so great and I couldn't believe how quickly it went. I just got back some teasers and posted them on another thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t27898 I asked her about the interest from Toronto and she of course was wondering how I knew about it, so I told her all about BDW!!!! I guess there was a request for her to go to Nova Scotia too, so she may do a little tour down east there! I see she also added another option that you can order. If you want to see the prices, just click onto a location that she is going to and then it will show you the different options and prices.
  11. Samantha - I have heard that as long as your passport and your plane ticket match, then there isn't a problem. Of course what happens if they need to see more ID? Maybe keep a credit card with your maiden name like Marie said until you get everything switched over.
  12. I have been humming and hawing about this. I would like to make my last name and make it a middle name just like we did with our kids, but then I have to legally change my name rather than just assume his lastname. That is why you can go by either name up here in Canada. If you assume your husbands name, it is legal yet it is not a legal name change! I really like my initials "ET" and don't want to give them up, and ever since I started looking into my geneology, I really like my lastname (even though people usually say it wrong) and to me, that is me!
  13. Ok, so I am working tomorrow night and will have to miss the show, but I found out who wins POV and what happens. All I can say is I hope things are calm at work tomorrow so I can try and watch the show! It is going to be a gooder. There is a whole lot of drama coming up tomorrow!!!!
  14. Oh yeah, I got some BD teasers today. Here is the link http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t27898
  15. We are going to do a moonlight couples massage on the beach in Punta Cana! I can't wait. Everytime we go somewhere, we say we are getting the massages, but never do. Well, now it will happen.
  16. So I got home from ork tonight and decided to check my email. There was an email from Tait Photos, and there was a link to 3 BD teasers, and she asked if she could use some of them on her blog. I never thought that I would make her blog for one, and secondly, I was so nervous when I saw that but was so happy with what I saw. Just remember that I braved the fact that I was no where near my weight loss goal, but when I got the email that they were coming, I didn't want to regret not doing it. Erica Tait is the photographer and she made me feel so comfortable right away, and I didn't imagine that the pics would be as good as these 3 teasers (I figured Larry loves me for me, so he will like the pics no matter what I look like), so I am really excited to see the rest. To all of you out there that want to do this but are holding back because of your weight, DON'T! If they are a good photographer, they will make you look good no matter how big you are!!! Ok, so here are the teasers.
  17. I am totally up for round 4 as well. I will be joining the gym again in Sept, so that will definately help. Last time I went to the gym I lost 20 lbs!!! I only have 3 months left, so I have to do what I have to do. I am totally freaked about weigh in this week, since I didn't do it last week as I was out of town. I don't think it would have been a good weigh-in and not sure I did so great this week either, so it may appear to be a monsterous gain. EEEEKK!!!!
  18. Usually with the double evictions, they vote to evict, then they have HOH right away, nominations and eviction. This is Big Brother though, so you never know what they might do. I must say that one thing that is a benifit to Memphis is that he can potenitally take himself off the block. Who do you think POV nominee will be if it is needed? I think Dan should have asked Ollie right away who he wanted for POV nomination rather than waiting to see if someone was taken off the block.
  19. I am back from camping now!! It was a good week, but the last few days I had to get up early and come back to town so I could work. Friday was insain at work, but Sat & Sun were nice. Now I am on evenings today and tomorrow. My Mom had to make another wedding cake earlier in the week, so she brought all the left over fondant out to the campground, and we made fondant seashells for the wedding cake in the Dominican. They turned out pretty good, and yes I took pics, but they are on my Mom's camera so I will get them from her later.
  20. Susan - So sorry Imissed you. I have been out of town camping for the past week. I love your dress! I can't wait until we get to see pics of you on your big day!!
  21. I must say that the scale did drop for me earlier this year and hasn't gone back up, even though I wasn't doing much to keep losing or to keep it off. Now with the BBL3 here on BDW, I have lost a few lbs, but I also gained a few, so it is more like a yo-yo. Everyone keeps commenting on how I look like I lost more weight though, so I think I may have lost some more belly. LOL. Operation Hottie, I am drinking my water today since I am at work, BUT I did bring some gumdrops back over my lunch hour to munch on!!! Oops! I did give the Dr some to munch on too, so that is less for me! LOL
  22. I missed the episodes this week, but I will be around to watch them next week. Double elimination, yeah!!! At least I didn't miss that.
  23. Hey there everyone. I thought that I would pop on quickly while I am waiting for Larry to get home, and then we are heading back to the camp ground 30 mins out. I had to work this morning, so that is why I am in town at all. Steph - I am so sorry to hear that you will no longer be a police officer. I really hope that you can find something else that you will be able to enjoy. How is your back doning since the injections? Celina - I think that is awesome that you are reconnecting with your step-siblings. I think you should tell your Dad about it as well, but I don't think you have to call him tonight and tell him. If I was in your position, I would talk to your step sister and see how that goes. Then you can tell your Dad that you did end up contacting them and that the grandkids say hi, and tell him how things went. Ok, as for the fat thing, I have totally not lost the weight I was planning to, but I still braved the camera and posed in little outfits. I didn't feel fat either, mind you I didn't feel super skinny. I picked outfits that don't show all the skin and then she posed me in ways that I felt like I was totally pulling it off. I guess we will have to wait for the pics to see, but I would totally encourage anyone to do it, even if you haven't lost all the weight. Besides, like I started saying to myself, he loves me the way I am, and that is what these pics are of....me!!! Don't let your weight stop you from doing something that your FI/DH would totally love. I bet everyone's man would still want the pics, even if you had not lost any weight!!!! I think that if I lose a lot more weight by next year, I might do it again for him for the paper anniversay!! Well, I will have to run for a few more days. Work was crazy today, and unless things are noce and calm at work tomorrow or Sun, I probably won't be on again until Sun night. Take care Nov girls!
  24. Hey there. Thought I would stop in quickly to say that I did my BD session this afternoon at 3pm. I went into the city this morning and went shopping for outfits with my 17 year old sister. She helped me pick them out. I was sooooo nervous on the way to the city, and even more so on the way to the photo shoot, that I told my sister if I had eated lunch, I probably would have thrown it up. Another girl go there the same time as me so she could get her hair & make-up done which I opted out of, and Erica & Ijust got to it. I was worried I wouldn't know what to do, but she was awesome and jsut told me everything to do! I am sooooo excited to see the pics. I might not have them for about 4 weeks though, since she is travelling and taking all the pics in the BD marathons! Well, I may not be around much this week, as I am back down to the campsite. I just stopped quickly to get some more diapers for Justin while I was on my way threw town! Have a great week everyone!
  25. So I just signed up to be part of the CIBC Run for the Cure. I did this last year as well and was so excitied when I got a phone call to go do it again. I have been so busy with wedding plannig, child raising and working that I forgot that it was coming up right away. This is a 5 km walk/run/ride kind of a thing and it is across Canada on Oct 5, 2008. I am at risk of breast cancer as it runs in my family. My Aunt is a breast cancer survivor and I have a couple Great Aunt's that weren't able to fight it off, as well as a couple of my Mom's cousins. Now all my Aunts and my Mom have to go for yearly mammograms too. They have made such an advancement already in this area, and hopefully these fundraisers will save my friends, family, myself, my kids and my grandkids one day if any of them have to deal with this awful disease. If there is anyone that wants to take part in the run in their area here is the link https://www.cibcrunforthecure.com/ht...?error=cookies If you are unable to participate but would like to make a donation to the cause you can also do so https://www.cibcrunforthecure.com/ht...2&languageid=1 If you have someone that is dealing with another form of cancer or some other disease, maybe you could reach out and help that cause instead. I challange everyone to do something, no matter how small or big, whether it is a donation, fundraising or voluteeering to help a cause that is close to your heart. Let us know what cause you are reaching out to!
