We are doing the deluxe package as well. Sunsierra did they ask for all of your guests name so they can count it towards their # of dinners?

Did anyone have any guests complain about the certificates for the ala carte resturants? We are going to have our wedding dinner at one of the resturants then do a recpection either outside or at the disco depending on the weather. One guest said they do not fell it is all inclusive since they can not go to any resturant any night of the week. The person is only coming for a long weekend so they will loose the 1 certifacte they get for the ala carte sicee it will be used for the wedding dinner. Which makes me feel bad so for those that are upset I would like to buy them a certificate is that possible? I am hoping to have a welcome dinner and rehersal dinner for everyone at the buffet so people will not notice.

I also did not send a RSVP with our STD, as we plan on sending out formal invites to everyone regardless if they plan on coming. We do plan to include RSVP with the invites. Then as people book the trip or if we know they said they were coming we will send out updates/brochures.

Congrats on your engagement. Do you have a idea on what area you would like? We started by going down and talking to a local TA and they helped us narrow down a area then we just researched hotels Good Luck!

We decided on Gran Bahia Akumal. Why we chose RM: 1) Travel time not too long, our two grams are on oxygen so we wanted the shortest flight for them. 2) Lots of things to do outside the resort if people wanted to Why we chose Gran Bahia Akumal: 1) Good prices for Wedding Package 2) All inclusive with a lot of activities 3) Affordable for our guests 4) Kid Friendly 5) Big resort in case people want to come at last minute. 6) Loved the look of the ceremony on beach!! 7) Have read some amazing reviews

i think it is a great idea. pictures are important and it would be nice to get some help getting prints, albums etc. we are not registering but i really like this idea!

Here is a update... Thanks for all the feedback. I first off can not believe that my FH really is still considering this as he is the one who says pictures are very important 10 out of 10. For me it is not that important. The problem is not money I mean we are not looking to pay 10's of thousands as my FH just started a business I do well at work but we plan on trying to have a baby right away after the wedding so I think it would be better to save some money on it. I do not have a problem paying a couple thousand for it as we will have the pictures forever. I am still looking at other photographers and I told my FH that on Monday I want to book someone as time is flying by and its our last big decision and I want to check it off my list. So we shall see if our friends son can do the demo for us this weekend otherwise we will go with one of the other photographers. I will keep you posted!!!

We are planning on doing a catholic cer. but probably after our beach wedding. We will invite only close family members who could not travel will be there.
