  1. Sorry to crash your party but I have a question: Has anyone visited LC for a day/night trip other than for the wedding? Going to PV in a few weeks and I was thinking about visiting LC... it looks so beautiful from all the pics. Thanks! Oh and $0.02 for you Jamie: no wedding party equals a lot less stress! We had our sibblings but there were times when I wish we would have skipped that:) You'll save more $ than you think. My GF's that came to the wedding all wore blue so I had some pics taken with all of them and they were so cute! So I guess what I am saying is that you can still have the cute pics with your GF's without having an actual wedding party!
  2. Oh and no Blaire was not there when I got married last year... I hear really nice things from Lindsay though!
  3. Sara- thanks for the congrats! Can't believe how fast the first year went. Crazy. Crystal- very cool that you ended up with that dress anyways:) Must have been meant to be. Now where are the pics? haha. So excited for you- and am confident that your wedding will be PERFECT!
  4. Hope your friend is recovering! I remember the hit in the game against Sweden too. Mistakes happen, but 2 high profile hits= I don't think so.
  5. Awesome Jess! I have been patiently WAITING for these. You are a beautiful bride... and have awesome taste!!!!! Congrats!
  6. Oh man, not good. SO sorry. We are all sending good thoughts your way. The only advice I'd add is to always think before you speak. That way you can be confident that you say and do everything to the best of your ability and either hang on or walk away with confidence. You are a smart, BEAUTIFUL and kind woman... remember that!
  7. woowhoo! Congrats Magalie on booking your flights!!!! And congrats Sara on booking your date:) Mel- we talked. Stupid email And I FINALLY booked our trip... we'll be there Feb 23-28th! YAY! Can't wait. It is our first anniv Saturday so we keep talking about what we were doing a year ago at this time.... right now we were coming back from our FABULOUS grooms dinner in town at Si Senor. Can't wait to go back in a month!
  8. Yes, they all do private ceremonies (eloping) if they have an onsite WC. Just inquire.

  10. Oh and we skipped the champagne and did this drink. Another option if they are offering champagne. That saved us some money and it wasn't missed.

I would love to have a signature drink...though not sure if my resort does that or not. I want to say it is a hurricane. But ask your hotel/WC if they could make a blue signature drink- I think they must get this request often. It even had a red cherry so it matched my colors exact. What color are your flowers, accent?

The GM attire looks exactly how I envision mine. My FI however, will probably wear the same shirt as the GM but with a suit. He also will not wear a tie. But other than that, your photos really give me a good idea. I feel much better now. Sure! I'm glad you found a good deal. I love Tommy Bahama too but couldn't ask anyone to pay that much. We ended up going to men's warehouse and getting a really great deal... so good that we paid for the men's attire actually. OH, and at Men's Warehouse they have a silk private label pant that is made by Tommy Bahama. They have a couple different styles/colors of kahki and come in a wide range of sizes which is nice. This is what we ended up with and they were buy one get one 50% off. They have this sale alot. My DH's suit is Calvin Klein and we got it fro there on the same promotion. Good luck and try not to over think it too much. As long as the groom looks good...

This is harder than finding my gown Please be honest! I said the same thing! Harder than finding your dress for sure. But anything off white/ivory should work just fine:) Try not to get too wrapped up in it bc you'll drive yourself mad. OH, and I would keep goom/groomsmen in same color about. They'll be in more pics together than you will be, does that make sense?
  14. Great pictures! I love Elizabeth... and got to meet her other daughter Lauren who was equally as sweet. Congrats!! Maybe you could edit your first post and enter your password. I think that would be helpful:)
  15. If you do a search for OOT bags you will find tons of info including deals at Target, Dollar Tree, etc. Also, brides have posted info on what was worth it and what wasn't. Just type "OOT" in search bar above. With that said, check out Target dollar spot and other Dollar Stores as well as costco etc.
  16. No, that will be perfect. If you want to see how it looks you can look at the bottom of this post at my pro pics.

I know there is a Catholic Church thread...but my specific question is about music and trying to decide what music to have at the Church and then back at the hotel for the reception. Anyone have experiences to share? We didn't get married at the church but there are some good reviews out there... non Playa Fiesta that I can find. One thing I heard was that the accoustics were not so great at the church so don't waste too much $$/ effort on that. But it would be cool if you had some live music as your guests get back to the hotel. And as far as invites go: I did a normal, simple invite with the link to our website that had all of the additional information. The website info was on our save the dates too. I would post my website to share but I changed it all for our AHR. MEL: Do you still have your website up and running? Anyone else?
  18. Congrats! I see you already found us on the Playa Fiesta thread but welcome!! Playa Fiesta ROCKS!
  19. Hey Magalie, Obviously I am not from BC and no help but just saw that it was you. Hope you are getting it straightened out!!!

How much extra work was it? What would you recommend? I have to decide now between a legal marriage in Mexico or a legal ceremony here (where I'd have to find and book a location and a commissioner) and which would be easier. Thanks for the help! Hmmm... We got married here but I think it might be easier to do it down there... remember, Lindsay does EVERYTHING so anything extra you'll have to do will just be on your itinerary. Are you using their officiants anyways? If so the additional cost would be cut in half. Did you write Lindsay/Blair an email We had a friend officiate (free) so it made sense to get legally married here. Good luck!
  21. Mishka also made maracas for our wedding (check out the pictures in my siggy) and I highly recommend her! They did a wonderful job and were really easy to work with... also nice to have her right on the forum. Thanks Mishka!
  22. I missed it too! Funny, bc I remember you talking about going to pick it up.... Looks great! How fun to have. I need to get on that:)

Kate, I hope you can find something!!! The wedding couple from MN paid about $400 for their xmas tickets. yeah, they are over $900!
  24. why are all of the flights so rediculously expensive to PVR in the next couple of months?!. So frusterating!
