  1. Well since we're on the topic, what are those co-ed bathrooms that are shared by guests on each level? Are they still common in NYC?

  3. Bump! It's getting closer to decision time so I wanted to see if I could get anymore opinions or referrals. Thanks
  4. I don't see how you couldn't be watching them with how ironic and historical they're becoming!
  5. I work in front of a computer all day so I try to use my desktop background as sort of an inspiration. Over the years I've found that it's amazing how much these images and photos that surround my workspace can impact and inspire my work throughout the day. So with that said, I thought it would be interesting to see what others have on their desktops. Now I don't know if any of you share the same passion for world history and it's trends but I've been absolutely mesmerized by the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics. And in the wake of these upcoming Olympics, it seems like the American media has made a pretty big effort to air some exclusive programs & news reports briefing us on the Chinese culture and just how important their economic rise has on the American people and the rest of the world around us! So I don't know about you but I've taken a big interest in learning about the Chinese culture and that's why I have a desktop photo of The Forbidden City, the last residence of the Chinese Emperors. Please post yours!

It's just amazing how different the professional photos on a hotel's site can look versus the photos that are taken by it's guests (see below). It is a little ways from the Times Square/Central Park area though. The Mandarin Oriental is looking very promising too! It's right next to Central Park. The bathrooms are really cool and the whole hotel has a cool vibe. When you come in at night it's really lively and fun. Check out the website to see pics of the rooms and stuff - you won't be disappointed! One thing I've noticed from the bathrooms in the photos though is that they're crowded. It sort of looks like The Four Seasons New York or The Sofitel might be nicer in that category. Then again, we're sort of getting away from the "modern" theme with those two and more into the "contemporary" design.
  9. I'm going to NYC in early November with my wife and family and I need to know what are the absolute best hotels to stay in and around Times Square. I took a trip there almost 4 years ago and stayed in the Marriott Marquis on Times Square but for some reason my mom didn't like it too much and wants to try something new. We're looking for something with a modern feel to it. Can anyone give me some referrals or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Ok I'm sorry but is it really necessary to jump on my case just because I was inquiring about the situation? It's not like I was saying you were in the wrong! After all, you said you loved him, so how was I supposed to know if you meant loved him romantically or just as a friend? I don't know what the real specifics of the situation are, hence the question.... Quote: Originally Posted by STACEY That is such a typical responce from a man. 12. So this guy friend of yours is moving out of the house he share with his wife and now is coming to stay with you? And this happens to be a friend you have romantic feelings for?
  13. Ha ha, I knew that was a Phoenix area pool before I looked at where you're from, Scottsdale. Looks like a great party!

  15. I was at the Excellence Riviera Cancun from 5/17 - 5/24 for my wedding and the whole trip turned out perfectly! The resort was awesome, the food was good, the service for the most part was really good, the ground were nice, the beach was great, our room was great, and the wedding and photos couldn't have turned out any better!
  16. Does BD stand for Birth Day? I'm out of the loop....
  17. Yeah, totally creepy! I've never been big into dolls since Child's Play came out when I was a kid. I always thought those My Little Buddy commericials were disturbing, but that's just me!

  19. I don't see anything wrong with your brother's situation with his fiance, nor do I see a problem with your situation. Everyone's relationship is different because it involves two different people with two different personalities that react differently! Some people require a lot of attention while at the same time, their fiance or spouse enjoys giving it to them. It just sounds like you and your partner are more independent than your brother and his partner and there's nothing wrong with that! My wife and I go through cycles where we talk a lot during the day and then some days we don't. It's taken us awhile to figure everything out but we're both on the same page. This is just another great example of why you can't judge other people's relationships because what works for them may not work for you and likewise.

Well 2 hours and much frustration later... the system restore is done... and it still doesn't work. Argh... I'll have to make another trip to Best Buy. Do you have a AntiVirus program on this computer? It could be scanning the iPod, thus not allowing it to connect to your computer correctly. I've had this problem before, so whenever I connect my iPod, I startup the computer without the virus scanning processes.
  22. Can I just tell you that I saw this movie twice over the weekend and WOW, IT WAS AMAZING!!! It has to be the best super hero movie ever made and I honestly can't remember a better villain than Heath Ledger's Joker! He's become a legend with this final performance.
  23. Looks like a great time, I've always wanted to go there!
