Bridal Shop Recos in Northern VA
Dbld78 replied to neen's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I had the same thing happen to me... I found a dress in Charleston Wedding magazine and I wanted to try it on so I called the bridal shop in the magazine and got the style number and designer and then called a million (well not really...ahaha) bridal salons and NO ONE had the dress, they carried the designer but not that dress as a sample. I ended up going with another dress, but I did however buy it at a posh upscale bridal salon. And to be honest it was worth the extra couple bucks for the service and the attention that I received. You can walk into any where and get service with tee shirt and jeans as long as your head is held high and you make yourself look important....lol! On the other hand... I can't say that I know of any good bridal salons in your area....sorry. But best wishes... I'm sure you'll make out great! -
I answer your question.... YES I think your crazy!!! But again this is your decision... I'm might be a little bias because I am a professional photographer but I also speak from experience. ANYONE I've known that I has tried to go cheap out on the photography has ALWAYS regretted it. Think about it this way... this is the ONLY physical thing that you get to take away with you as a permanent memory of your wedding. You don't want to look back on your wedding pictures and wished that you would have spent the money. Shooting a wedding is no cake walk either. Granted shooting a destination wedding is not as tough as a traditional wedding but there are still things that you NEED to know. Lighting, Posing, PROPER EXPOSURE, and knowing how to work their flash... which isn't a simple as you would think!!! And MANY other things they don't teach in High School Photography Class. While he might be a natural at capturing the moment he may not know all the technicals as well as shot list that come along with the professional wedding photographer. To give you an idea... I have been working in the photography industry for about 13 years and spent 5 years in college studying the trade. It is an ever evolving craft and you are always learning. I have spent 9 of those years working with other, very well established wedding photographers and still think that I could learn more... This is totally your decision but I have attached a link to a photographers blog that has a great explanation for a professional photography. Why are Professional Photographers so expensive? With all this being said... it's your decision and you'll have this pictures forever so make the decision based on what you want and not what you want to spend...

I'm sorry that stinks! Maybe after they come to your wedding and have a great time, they'll change their minds! Think positive...

I'm confused too... I wasn't aware that there were legalities to cursing? I thought we still had our freedom speech.....

I don't have any Karma points.... I used to but awhile back I tried to steal some points from a banned member and they were taken away! But that was awhile back when I was reading about stealing points! I have Rep points but still no Karma! I guess I've been banned to BDW hell... This place is starting to give me a complex.... -

I LOVE Bridezillas too! The way the edit it and the dramatic music they play behind some scenes I can't help but laugh! Some of those girls are totally crazy... -
OHHHHHH! Danielle you are not the only Danielle who is a Phillies Phan! Let me just say.... I was recently at a Phillies vs Mets game at Citizen Bank Park and you Mets fans are asses..... huge asses! I watched some drunk Mets fans (3 of them) beat the piss out of a Phillies fan in front of his wife and kids and the fight actually spilled onto the field and stopped the game and one of your douche bag fans punch TWO Philadelphia Police Officers..... OK DUMB ASS!!! Real smart! Needless to say.... I never cared about other teams and hating them (well other than The Cowboys!!!! LOL!) but I must say that, that day I learned to really despise Mets fans! And they say that Philly has BAD fans! Trust that wasn't only nasty thing I saw that day.... and I've been to many games... but this was my first Mets game....

I have "Sailor Syndrome" too... But so does Tim, my dad HATES when me and my sister talk that way.... But that's when I say "Bill, shuuuuut the fuck up!" Ahahahaha....and I lmao, and so does my mom and sister! Oh and I totally call my parents by their first names.... my dad hates that too!

But I personally think Glenn Beck is one of the most honest political commentators out there... I just watched this and along with laughing at the physical banter between him and Ben Stein I was really upset about the discrimination against the future employees of Florida's government. I do understand that they will pay more for health care for these employees but it's a personal choice to smoke. I agree that it's great to go into a restaurant or bar and it be smoke free I love it! And being an ex smoker I had no problem going outside to smoke I actually preferred it! But this conversation raises a great point "What next?" pretty soon we won't have any freedoms, not even in our own home! YouTube - Glenn Beck w/ Ben Stein - Where there's smoke, there's fired

I try to follow those guidelines plus some extra to be safe. So if I have 1 beer after work at a happy hour, I drink a bottle of water & wait an hour before driving home. I should recheck the guidelines. usually we walk some where for dinner & drive home much later. Yeah.... if I don't feel like going out and Tim does I'll drop him off and pick him up later too. I with you on this... it's really not worth it. I'll drink if we are walking to the bar or we taking a cab or have some sort of ride that isn't at the bar with us. What sucks about where our house is that there really isn't a bar in walking distance but after all maybe that's a good thing... Drinking out gets too expensive....
