  6. Well Im no help because my mom and MOG are wearing similar color dress. I think it will look really nice but thats just me.
  7. Oh wow so sorry to hear that you are going through this. Its incredible that they are willing to lose there son over a culture difference. Stay strong and the most important thing is that you and FI stick this out together. Wish you the best...keep us posted!
  8. Welcome and Congrats. Im a Chicago area bride as well. Enjoying you wedding planning. BDW is the best source of all your needs.
  9. I did not work with Jessica at all. She is the wedding coordinator if you choose one of there wedding packages. I don't know about the $250 an hour. I went through the events department. The price ranges from $30 to $50 per person and it includes a 5 course sit down dinner, beverages during dinner and 2 hours of open bar. You can choose the time slot for the 2 hours. What we are doing is having our reception from 6 to 12. 6:00 guests will be greeted with wine served butler style. 6:30-8:30 dinner with wine, beer, soda, water juice coffee, or tea included 8:30-10:00 we will be doing our mexican wedding traditions. No bar at this time. If we choose to have open bar at this time it will be an additional $10 per person. But we just figure that what stops our guests from going out of the ballroom to get a drink...hey its all-inclusive resort..right? Besides people are going to be to busy seeing or participating at this time. 10:00-12:00 we will be dancing with our 2 hours of open bar included in the package. We are having the dj from 6 to 12 I hired an outside dj for a very good price. During dinner we are having a mariachi for the 2 hours I hired them as well for $400US an hour. The ballroom comes included with tableclothes, chair covers and your choice of color for the bows. If we want to, we can stay at the ballroom past 12:00 so this works out perfect because we are a huge party family. Let me know what other questions you have. Im here to help out in any way.
  10. I was thinking of giving them out at our Welcome Dinner since that will be the day where everyone will be together. But I will love to hear what other options there are.
  11. Everything is separate. You pay per person, rent there system, get a dj, mariachi, flowers, cake. You cant utilize the Riu's wedding coordinators you have to get an outside planner. I personally arranged everything myself. It is a little more difficult to go this route but I think it is well worth it. Since I didnt go with the wedding packages I had to go through the event coordinators to arrange everything. If you go this route just let me knw and I will help you out.
  12. Yes the ydo have a ballroom..the best thing about it is that we can stay there as long as we want. We are having the reception from 6 to 12 and we can stay there longer if we chose too. IT is a sit down dinner so you do end up paying per person depending on your dinner selection.
  13. Jr and I travel alot and usually what we have done is that we put the Do Not Disturb Sign on the door at all times and we leave the tv on. We have always used the safe to put our passports and money in. Put now Im just so nervous and scared to do it. Seriously, what does everyone do with there money? Where do you put these valuables when your on the beach or on excursions?
  14. He told us that we can do it at any time. We are having the ceremony at 3pm on Tuesday. They seem to be very flexible.

Sorry, I dont know how to post pictures. I would say they are 24" wide and 16" high. No type of closure at the top, but they do have a small pocket inside. Let me know if you need more info! Can you please tell me which walmart you bought them at because I bought mine about a week ago and now I have more guests attending and I need more bags. The walmart I bought them at doesnt have anymore!!!
  16. I just wanted to add one more thing. Family is very important and I believe that you and your sister should consider working this out because Im sure that you would want her to be at your wedding and you would want to be at hers.
  17. Wow this whole situation is just insane. when I first read about your cousin I thought that was crazy but your sister just out did herself. She talks about you being self-centered? She wants to get married 3 days after you!!! It doesnt make any sense why she would even consider getting married right after you. Stay strong Im sure that everything will work out in the end. I suggest that you get your parents involve in this situation in order to bring some sense to her. What does your FI say about all of this?
