  1. Hi Mama's! Just checking in on everyone. Hopefully everyone is doing well and feeling good! Lisa- How did your Sono go today? Martha- I've Been thinking about you and Noah this weekend. Did you guys end up getting a lot of rain and wind? As for me not much is new. I am so tired these days. I'm trying really hard not to sleep too much though, since it seems to make me even more tired. Steve and I had a discussion last night and I think I am going to ask my doctor for an elective induction. I know, I know, I shouldn't mess with nature and I don't want to but with Steve's work situation and the kids it will make things way less hectic and stressful on everyone. If we can't schedule a replacement for Steve at the pharmacy he will have to leave the pharmacy all day without a pharmacist and that is a BIG NO NO with the pharmacy board. Like loose his license kind of big no no! Plus if we do it this way he can spend a few days with us over the weekend rather than leave me and Hannah at the hospital by ourselves. I'm going to ask my doctor next week at my appointment if she will do it at 39.5 weeks. (Nov 7). I was induced with my 1st and the induction went pretty well, so if Hannah doesn't make an appearance before Nov 7 this really would be the best thing for us. I'll let you girls know what the doc says next week.
  2. Martha- I just wanted to tell you that we are thinking about you and praying that everything is ok.
  3. Yay, Yari. I am so happy for you!! Now, if only I could stop drooling over your cake!!!
  4. Hey Girls, I hope everyone is doing good. Here are some of the 3D pictures that I promised I would post. Hannah has undoubtedly inherited her Daddy's nose and my long fingers! I think she will look a lot more like her Dad since she has his nose, it's a very prominent feature. :-)
  5. Before I got pregnant, I would have my sushi chef wrap the rolls in cucumber instead of rice. It is SO yummy and is a lot healthier since the rice is the source of a lot of the extra calories.
  6. I don't think this is crossing any lines, so don't worry about that. I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I totally agree with you that a physical relationship is very important, unless he is ill or something like that. You said that you two have had many discussions about the problem already, but I think you might need to have another one, because I don't think he is being honest with you. There has to be some underlying issues, maybe he may feel like he is inadequate in bed, maybe sex is too much work for him (hes being lazy), maybe he has issues with the "internet girls". Honestly, there can be a number of reasons, so don't think that it is you. Regardless, it really isn't fair to you to feel this way for wanting to be intimate with your fiance. If he has enough libido to "take care of himself", then he can share some of it with you! Good luck, I hope that you two can get this worked out soon.

We were there a few weeks ago and that area was still under construction. I should call! Thanks for the tip, Karma! It's just one item, so not worth it really for small things but for expensive items it defiantly saves a lot. When we bought the Medela Pump in Style we saved almost $60. I hope yours opens soon, I love BRU. I could spend hours in there!
  8. I just wanted to let you girls know that BRU (Babies R Us) is giving out 20% off coupons with purchase this weekend. We bought most of our expensive items with these coupons and saved a couple hundred dollars. FYI (For those not familiar with BRU)- What we did was buy something small like a pack of oneies and they give you 2 20% off coupons to use on your next purchase (Check dates), so have DH or someone else go in another line and get another coupon book. We did that and got 4 then went back the following week and saved a ton!! They only hand out the 20% off booklets every 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps some of you girls save some $$.
  9. Steve and I both did them with our 6 year olds, so we decided to not do them this time around, plus with the kids in school it would be hard since bed time is 8:30. But I did decide to order a class on DVD. It's 5 hours long, so we have been watching the lessons in 1 hour blocks. It's been a nice refresher so far. You girls will have a lot of fun, plus your DH's will understand what you are actually going through, so hopefully they will be a little more sympathetic!

Steve's got the disk at work, but I'll have him bring them home and I'll post some. I bet Luke is head down, because that is where I feel most of the "kicks" too.
  11. Martha- We did a 3D ultrasound this weekend and Hannah was already in the head down position. The tech said at this point she most likely will not move back. I'm not sure if it's the same for first time mommies, but I think there is a good chance Noah is most likely head down too. I could tell she was still breech a few months ago because I use to get these horrible kicks in my cervix, they were very uncomfortable. Now most of her kicks/punches are in the middle to the top of my tummy.
  12. Thanks for the compliments ladies, I'll post a new one when we are done. Hopefully by the end of the month. Lisa- Your belly is so cute and ummm WHAT love handle? Ha ha. You look great!

  14. Here are a few of what we have done so far. We still need to hang her Chandelier, window treatment, mobile, and decorative mosquito net. I think I want a rug as well, but haven't found one that matches yet.

Have no clue where I'm going to hang them, but we'll figure it out. LOL. I'm walking up the stairs right now to get a few shots! Be right back!
  16. I'm probably a little late, but I thought I would add the salon Steve and I love. It's a really trendy salon in uptown. They do amazing EVERYTHING. Plus, they have a bar, so you can drink wine or whatever while getting pampered! It's fun! They are really popular in the uptown area and are opening another salon close to North Park mall. Salon Pompeo- I recommend Able, but any of the stylists are great. Salon Pompeo
  17. I am so excited right now girls, I have to share with someone! They are delivering and assembling Hannah's nursery furniture right now! It was not suppose to arrive until the middle of September, but is here early! Now I can start putting her clothes away and start putting the finishing touches on the nursery. My goal is to be completely done by October, so I can rest that month. I'll post a pic soon!

We expect to pay about $10,000-$12,000 when it's all said and done out of pocket. Poor thing. Do they have any time line for when they think you will get it out? Or are they just playing it by ear?
  19. It's a Girl! Name: Hannah (?) Due Date: November 12, 2008 Hometown: Dallas, TX

There was no way that we would terminate; it was more of a "better to be prepared" attitude going into it. Thankfully, we don't need to prepare:) Oh yeah, I totally understand. I'm a huge planner so I just wanted to know too, regardless. I did both as well, Steve just was being a cheap-o cause he didn't want to pay the $600 for them. LOL.

If you are at increased risk like 1:50, then they recommend that you do a more invasive test such as an amnio or cvs, which can tell you for sure. I agree though, Steve thought it was such a waste to even take the tests since we are against termination.
