  1. DH is self-employed, and I am a student so our insurance is pretty basic. We have Aetna and our plan does NOT cover maternity benefits. It will only cover complications of pregnancy. So needless to say we are paying for the entire pregnancy out of pocket. When it's all said and done we will have paid around $10,000 for Hannah to be born. Most doctors and hospitals will give you slight discounts if you are paying cash, but it really is not that much. Plus, the labs and sonograms are very expensive! My best advice to you is to start looking now! Don't wait until you are pregnant to find insurance or it will be impossible. Also, I don't know if you would be willing to change jobs, but most larger employers cover maternity benefits with no extra waiting period. I considered getting a part-time job with insurance benefits just to cover the pregnancy, but it just didn't work with my school schedule.
  2. Whoa, girly you look HOT! The girls are lookin smokin! Makes me want to pop this baby out today and go to the gym! LOL. Ryan is gonna love it!
  3. The week we were married (July) the weather forcasted rain almost every day. Some days it did rain but the rain only lasted for about 30 minutes to an hour if it actually did rain. Most of the time it was in the early afternoon. I don't think it ever rained past 3 o'clock. Tropical showers are very different than the rainy days we are use to. They happen so quickly and then the rest of the day is virtually unaffected by the rain.
  4. Yay, Martha, you're back! Congrats, Mrs!
  5. You made a beautiful bride and the pics are great! Congrats again!
  6. Try not to worry too much, I just read about it and it looks like it is still being managed by the same company. Hopefully your original contract will still stand. DH and I were there in January and were really pleased with their customer service, I'm sure they will work with you even if some things do change. 7. Happy Wedding Day, Martha! I am so happy for you and Jay and little Noah! Can't wait until you get back.
  8. I totally agree with Morgan. The time you spend away from your little one is really not much different than working a full time job. I'm working towards a Masters right now as well, and I am actually glad to be having a baby now rather than later (I also have a six year old). If you wait until you are finished with school, it just seems way to easy to keep putting off having kids so you can enter the career field. It really depends on what your priority is, and what works best for you and your DH. If you want kids young or if you don't mind having them until later in life. I promise though, it is possible to have kids and still pursue your goals.
  9. Congrats, I know you will make a beautiful bride. I hope your trip is fantastic and you get all the rest you need.

FI and I were like - dang - they totally got ripped off! LOL... yeah I totally remember that one. They said they spent like $25,000 or some ridiculous number. All they had were flip flops, shirts and hats, and some other random stuff.
  11. I finally got a chance to read the whole story and wow. I was in tears! I am so happy for you, Christine! She is so beautiful. Congrats, Again!
  12. Oh my Gosh! How cute! Tammy your pictures look amazing. I wish I would have brought you to my wedding.
  13. Oh, wow, that is crazy. What a coincidence. PW was probably my favorite wedding show. I totally blame that show for going so far over budget! LOL.
  14. Ahh, poor thing. I know how you feel though. Summer classes are tough because they go so fast! My advice to you is to do the easier project first. The powerpoint one sounds easy. Once you complete something you will not feel as overwhelmed and it should give you the confidence boost to finish the more difficult project. Good Luck! I'm sure you will do fine on both and pass with flying colors!!
  15. I love your cut Amy! It's way too cute, and so are you! Your making me miss my pre-pregnancy wardrobe!

I didn't list it on the customs form either since they would not be staying in the county. Maybe that was not right, but it worked fine for me.
  17. I am so sorry that you are going through this. This is the last thing you should be dealing with right now. I will keep you in my prayers that the bank refunds your money soon.

I was admitted to the labor/delivery unit, which was nice because they have nice private rooms and after 12 hours of hell in the ER I was ready for some peace and quiet. Anyways, I had an ultrasound and all is well with the baby. I was given 11 bags of IV and IV Reglan and Pepcid. Now I am home and have to continue on the pill form of Reglan and Pepcid and try to keep some food down. Hopefully I don't end up back in the hospital but if I do they told me I will be able to get right up to the maternity floor instead of staying in the ER so that's good. Man, I would love to fast forward right to my due date!!! Oh, No! I am sooo sorry you are going through all of this. The good news is that you are 12 weeks today! Hopefully you should start getting some relief soon. I am praying that you will!
  19. Yay, I am so happy for you! Have a great time Martha! Can't wait until you get back!
  20. Oh Yay, Martha! That is awesome! Congrats!
  21. Mo- Good Luck on the ultrasound today! I'm sure it will go fine. The good news is at 10 weeks you will get some really good pics of the baby! We bought Hannah's nursery furniture this week. I highly recommend if you are buying a whole bedroom set to look early. Our set is going to take 8 weeks to come in, and there are some that take even longer. We went with a lifetime bed that will change from a crib to toddler bed, to a full size bed. So it will last a lifetime. Not much new for me. Except I am EXHAUSTED! I don't know if it is from the vacation still, but I have been sleeping every day for 11 hours. It's starting to get out of hand.
  22. Yay!! Congrats! I am so happy for you guys! You will have a beautiful baby! Everyone has those fears about their life changing, but I promise that you can still do fun things and live just an amazing life, you just have to balance it. Don't worry at all about the drinking, just start popping pre-natals now and everything will be fine!
  23. It will charge you for an international call, at least that is how I was charged with my carrier. I'm sure each carrier is different as to what the actual cost is, but be aware it is an international fee.
  24. We're back! I feel like I have missed so much here. Mo- I'm praying for you that you start feeling better. I'm curious though, have you tired phernegran (promethazine)? It was the only thing that took away the nausea for me, the zofran helped to keep food down but like you did nothing for the nausea. Lizz- YAY!!! That is great news! Congrats! Well, as for me. The wedding was AMAZING! Everything came out so wonderful and it really was beyond my expectations. I'm waiting on my pictures from the photog that came to the wedding with us, I only have the pics from the resort which I'm not too impressed with, but here is a little teaser pic for you guys!
