Which I highly recommend because of the balcony. It has one of the largest balconies in the whole resort. It was HUGE. We had a large dining table, two full size lounge chairs, and a large bar (fully stocked) with a sink. We spent a lot of time out there just relaxing. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and a huge open shower (no door) which was amazing! The room number was 355 and if you go with that category I would recommend you request it in advance because it has the best view since it is on the 3rd floor. I almost went with the larger honey moon suite, but decided against it because it would of cost us an additional $1000 for the duration of our stay. I can only imagine how amazing and decadent that suite would have been though!

With the Fly Free Promotion/33% discount we can actually afford to stay there 1 week after our wedding in Puerto Vallarta, MX. Waiting for TA Jennifer to get back to me on specific rates but OMG this looks like THE ONE!!!!! Only thing... I don't think I'll even want to come home. They might have to drag me away kicking and screaming! LOL Jamie, all I can say is that you will not be disappointed if you go here for your honeymoon. Here's a few highlights/spoilers that will be posted in my review: 1. Private car service from airport (stocked with red stripes/beverages for the ride) 2. Champagne and chilled towels upon check-in 3. Unlimited room service anytime (NO extra fees) 4. Mango-mimosa's served on the beach every morning as well as fresh fruit served at your beach chair 5. You never lift a finger to move beach chairs, get towels, put up umbrellas, get a drink, you have a beach butler that you just wave a flag to and he comes right over. 6. 4 star quality dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus access to any of the sandals or beaches restaurants I could go on and on and on. I took tons of pictures of the resort as well so I will add those in the review. My only regret about the trip was that I was pregnant for it and couldn't enjoy the yummy cocktails/wine they offered! LOL, we will probably be going back for sure after Hannah is born.
  3. I really can not say enough about RP. It was the most amazing day ever. RP was like a dream come true. You get such personalized service since it is such a small resort and the decor and scenery is unbelievable. Staff is amazing. You will not worry about a thing on your wedding day or the entire stay. If intimacy and charm is what you are looking for this is defiantly the resort. RP is really first class. It might be a little pricer than other resorts in Ocho Rios, but it is well worth it in the end. The on site wedding coordinator is a dream. I could go on and on. I'm working on a detailed review with pictures and should have it up soon. I'll send you a PM with the link to the thread.
  4. Oh, No. I'm so sorry Calia, that is sad news.
  5. Oh my gosh! I am so sad right now. He was just way too young.

It takes just like a cinnamon roll with vanilla ice cream on top! I'll probably detest it after delivery if not in a few weeks but for now it's the best!

No medical organization in the WORLD recognizes it. Good luck for all of you and congratulations on your little bundle of joys! ETA: I wasn't trying to point to anyone in this thread on YOU SHOULD do this. Jessalyn and Karma both were researching things that I know something about it so I gave my two cents to THEM. I'm sorry if someone felt I was pushing it on them. I didn't mean it that way. Sorry if I did. That's all. Oh, Calia, I'm sorry you feel upset. I defiantly appreciate your advice and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Every point of view in my opinion helps!

Now, back when our parents were pregnant with us, a lot of them drank. Steve's ex drank while she was pregnant with DSS and he struggles in school and almost for sure has fetal alcohol syndrome. He is having to repeat kindergarten this year. So just because people did it 30 years ago, doesn't necessarily make it ok. We are all fortunate to be having our children in the day and age where health information is available at the touch of a button and we can make educated decisions for what is best for us and our children.
  9. Don't worry too much. My DH actually went with me to pick my dress (we do everything together) and the day of the wedding he was still completely in shock and TEARS. When you put everything together (makeup, hair, veil, bouquet, jewelry) it will be a completely different look. And you FI will still be surprised and so happy to see you come down the aisle!
  10. Martha- I totally understand waiting until your settled. We didn't do anything for Hannah until after the wedding. It's too hard to work on 2 projects at the same time. Lisa- That is the same pump that I was thinking about getting! I've heard really good things about the medela brand. Mo- I'm so glad your are starting to feel a little better, you have been through so much so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you feel good during your trip and cousins wedding!

We are defiantly going with a bottle that is BPA free and the Adiri looks awesome. I'm going to add it to my list. As of now, I'm trying to decide between Born Free and the new Avent BPA free. Breastfeeding is so important to me, if I can I would like to give Hannah 100% breast milk, but I'm sure we will need a bottle for Daddy once in a while. Do you have an recommendations on pumps? I was thinking Medela, but wasnt' 100% sure yet.

I'm going to put the mattress in tonight We have all the bedding, but I think I might wait another few weeks to put it on the bed. My showers are Sept 13th & 21st. I'm so excited!! I keep stalking my registry for no reason at all, because no one has got an invite yet..lol. When I had my son, I procrastinated everything. And sure enough he came 3 weeks early. So I think it is better to do it early. Plus, we are still pretty mobile now. I'm sure in 2 months we are going to be exhausted. That's how I justify it to Steve. LOL. As soon as you get the bedding in, make sure and take a picture for us! How cool that you are having two showers! I opted out this time since it's #2.
  13. Lisa- Yep, that most likely is a BH. How are you ladies coming with preparing for baby? I feel like now that I'm headed into the home stretch there is so much left to do and so many choices. I spent 2 hours last night researching bottles, lol! And I plan on breastfeeding! Steve says I'm in major nesting mode. He finished painting her nursery last night and it feels so real now. Now if only I can wait patiently until the middle of September for her furniture. :-(
  14. Martha - For me the BH feel uncomfortable but not painful. My whole stomach tightens up and gets hard as a rock. Sometimes they take my breath away and I have to take deep breaths. I don't remember them at all with my first pregnancy, but this time they are happening at least a few times a day.
  15. Yay, Lisa! I am so happy for you! I had a feeling everything was going to be fine! Different books/websites say different things. As far as I know and what my doc goes by is that once you hit 27 weeks you are in the 3rd trimester.

She called at 2pm last time with bad news, so I'm hoping since she hasn't called - I may be in the clear. Fingers crossed! What week is officially the 3rd trimester? Yeah, I like to think no news is good news. My doc got the results yesterday but just called this morning (since it was negative). 27 weeks is considered 3rd trimester! You're almost there too!
  17. I am so sorry to hear your news. But, honestly if he was abusive even just verbally than this was 100% the best decision you could have made. My ex was verbally abusive and turned physically abusive soon after and leaving him turned out to be the best thing I could have ever done for myself. We are all here if you need support, just take some time off from thinking about the "wedding" because one pretty day is totally not worth a lifetime of being miserable. Have a great time in Mexico, that is a great idea!
  18. Well I got my results this morning, and it was negative. So thankfully, Hannah will not be making an early arrival just yet. I was not really worried, the test was just more for peace of mind. Lisa- Any news yet? Martha- I just noticed you are officially in your 3rd trimester now! Congrats! I can't wait until next week so I can finally say that! Julie-I'm so excited for you! Have you been having contractions yet?

  20. OMG, what a mess that sounds like. But the good news is you looked FANTASTIC!! Your hair looked great!
  21. I totally understand where you are coming from but, I guess I'm the odd ball out here. My mom's Best Friend (who I didn't know prior) kind of invited herself to my wedding, and I totally didn't mind at all. Even though it did end up costing us an extra $600 for her and her daughter to be there. My mom (my guest) spent a lot of money to come to my wedding. I wanted her vacation to be as enjoyable as possible, and I knew that I was not going to spend every waking moment of the trip with her. Having her friend there not only kept her entertained, her friend turned out to be one of the sweetest women ever. She is a pro photog and took tons of pics for us the whole trip. It really was the more the merrier and I'm glad in the end that they did come.

  23. Wow, now that is a beautiful dress and it looks fantastic on you. It is so classy and stunning! Great choice!

The hospital quoted me a price about $1500 higher than a vaginal birth and I think my doctors fee might increase slightly too like by $500 or so. Let's hope it doesn't' get higher than that!
  25. Lisa, sorry to hear that you didn't pass the glucose test. I wouldn't worry though, I know a lot of girls on FF who didn't pass the 1 hour but pass the 3 hour. It's just a pain in the butt to sit and wait for 3 hours and have your blood checked again. Quote: Originally Posted by LisaG Hey girls!! So I have to go back in for the 3 hour test on Monday at 8:45am. So I had to go to the doctors twice this week which sucked. I took my glucose test on Tuesday (which i passed) and while I was there I mentioned to my OB that I've been having pretty bad Braxton Hicks. She was pretty concerned and suggested that we do a FFT (fetal fibronectin test) which basically is a test to see if you are going to go into pre-term labor. Well the lab messed up the first sample, so I had to do another one yesterday. I'll know the results on Monday. I'm really not that worried though, because the BH are really sporadic and have no pattern at all, unlike real contractions.
