  1. There are so many places in Vegas to take pictures at! Are you holding the ceremony at a hotel or at one of the chapels? Happy planning and Welcome to the forum!

  3. Hi Laura! This is definitely the right place to get you started with your planning. Some of the resorts have some sort of a coordinator to help you with your planning process. They can provide with vendor lists and a number of suggestions. They can also take some of the load off from you so that you can have a good experience. Once you decide on your venue/hotel the rest will start falling into place. Welcome to the forum!

  8. Yes. There are some small hotels in the Cabo area that have the right amount of rooms to host just your guests. We photographed a wedding in Cabo at Marbella Suites and our customers and their guests rented out all of the rooms (I believe they have something like 40 rooms). It was really nice since they could use the premises like it was a private club and everybody felt at home since only friends and family were there. It was sweet!

Hi Sara! I agree with Kelly. Cabo is a great choice! Welcome!
  10. Hi Alex, You are very sweet. Wish you the best on your wedding. If any questions just let us know.
  11. Welcome to the forum! The most beautiful beaches in Mexico are Cabo and the Cancun area. But they are also the priciest. One of the more reasonable options in Mexico is the Puerto Vallarta area. There are nice hotels ranging from five stars to small fine boutique hotels that can provide just enough rooms for your guests. Good luck with your planning and welcome again!
  12. Hi Kelsey! It all depends where your family and friends are coming from. But if they are close to you I guess your best bets are going to be Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Cabo is easier on the airfares but you pay it back in the prices of the services. Puerto Vallarta is a little pricier on airfares (typically $100-$200 difference) but once you get there you really take advantage of being in Mexico, both, price-wise as well as you and your guests get to taste the Mexican culture. Welcome and congratulations on your wedding!

  19. If I recall right the sand was not that hot at 5:00. I was at a sunset wedding and like I said I could walk on the sand barefoot. At least in the parts that were not that rocky.
  20. If the guys are wearing Black suits I am told that they should wear shoes! About the guests, I say let them wear what they want! For the bridesmaids, I was just a bridesmaid a month ago in Santa cruz CA on the beach and we wore dressing mid calf and we went bare foot. The thing is I have been on the beaches in CABO and yes they are rocking and I had to wear shoes on some parts of the beach. So, what I was thinking is to maybe find some really cute sandels, at least for brides maids, flipflops I dont like with longer dresses. I hope this helps.
  21. Every year we go to Vegas and we have been there already twice this year. The rates at Paris are normally in the 200 to 300 dollars range. Surprisingly the last time we were there this year the rates at the Bellagio were a little lower (in the upper $100's). Given our experience booking at Vegas Hotels we went ahead and moths ago we already booked for our trip to our 2009 convention in Feb. Our advise to you is to check the rates for the hotels that you like on the specific dates of your wedding since, as Melinda mentions, the flood of conventions change dramatically the availability of hotels and one or two days difference can signify 300 dollars easily. It is never too early to book and we have found out that doing it as early as possible gives you the best accomodations for your money. Best of luck!
  22. I would think $25-35 per person. I know a wedding planner there and I could give you her info if you want it. She is super nice and would be able to at least let me know where a good spot might be or a good guess how much. You let me know. Good luck with everything.
  23. Congrats! Welcome to the forum. It is so much fun here!
  24. Yeah, I think anyone some what pays for the own wedding these days, especially destination weddings. I think also that if they want to though or can that you should let them, because then you can relax a bit and if there is something that you really want that might be somewhat extra in their eyes then you can pay for it.
