Hi darl, I'm so sorry your going through this but like all the other girls my FI and I have been the same although my FI is mad on cars and put most of his focus into that. I think it helps if they have something to get away from all the wedding talk, does he have any hobbies ?

Hi girlies, I'm really new to the whole BD gift, this is something we don't do over here in the UK but I really like the idea !! how do you go about doing it ? do you book in to have some proffesional photos done with a photographer and then you make the albums yourselves or do you get the whole thing proffesionally done, I'd love to do this for my DH he would sooooo love it !! Thanks for your help and advice : - )
-
Hi there, I'm not offended @ all ! These things happen unfortunatly and this is something I also have thought about as DH and I are also marrying leagaly in Mexico but like you say it is very routine in Mexico. The way I see it is make sure you see the doctor take out a brand new needle from a sealed packet, that way you know its a brand new needle and I think thats the only thing you can do, personally I hav't heard any horror stories but I'm with you on your thoughts.

CELLULITE...anyone actually been able to get rid of it?
JODEY replied to EDYTA's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I've heard that body brushing ( exfoliating ) before showing helps - it helps to get your circulation flowing which inturn helps shift toxins / celulite, your supposed to brush gently over your whole body towards your heart for the circulation, plus it helps get rid of dead skin cells too ! -

I'm definately not going to tell anyone that we are trying, that's too much pressure. I totally understand how you feel regarding work, fortunatly this is not the case for me but the "going back to work " thing is something I've also been thinking about, without sounding selfish my DH and I work hard and like nice things, the questons I keep asking myself are - How long would I want to take from work, months or yrs ?? Luckily DH is the bread winner but I do also earn a fair wage, maybe I would go back part time if I'm able to, I really don't know....

Just wanted to say how greatful I am to hear your veiws & cmmdee - your not the only peron that is scared, I had my neice round last night who is 5 yrs and she is truly a pain in the **** !!! but I think thats because shes let get away with a lot and totally rules the roost, anyway it dosn't put me off, I too have had mixed feelings but as I think about it more I' sure I will be ready when we're married, me and my DH will have had 10 wonderful, playful, years together without children, my DH is still getting the expensive car thing out the way now so another year or so should be fine.... we'll see.....

Luckily it all worked out but I think i definitely put unnecessary pressure on myself and DH. Wow ! Only six weeks pregmant, congratulations ! Can I ask a personal question... You don't have to answer if you don't want - Were you on the pill a long time before you came off to get pregnant and how long was it before to got pregnant since you started trying ? I will have been on the pill 10 yrs when I come off after the wedding and I'm a little worried that its a long time .....
-
Hi ladies, This is something I havn't come across on a thread yet so forgive me if there is one.... I was just wondering your thoughts on children, We havn't got children yet but we have decide for me to come off the contraceptive pill after the wedding and if it happens it happens, we don't want to put too much preasure on us announcing that we're "trying for a baby" I have a friend that has been trying for nearly a year and I know she wishes she had never said anything because people are forever asking her if theres any good news yet.... What are your plans ? Does your H2B avoid the subject or is it him thats getting broody and not you ?

Hi girlies, I've just ordered the scarsdale medical diet book off the internet but there are different veiws on this diet, some people have had really fantastic results but there are also stories of it being unhealthy, what are your veiws ?

What was your biggest adjustment after getting married?

I guess I will get used to it. I know many of you live or lived with your FI before you got married, but since being married what has been the biggest adjustment or something that you didn't expect? Wow... that is a huge adjustment, I have alot of respect for you marrying before you lived together, did you never wonder you may not get on ? I lived my my FI and his parents for 7 yrs !! we have now been in our own house for the past yr and love it, our biggest adjustment was the general looking after ourselves !! all the cooking, washing and ironing ect... but we soon got used to it... -

In reality, I spent more than him but it's on house stuff and things like that that aren't only for me. I rarely spend money on fun stuff just for myself (except for clothes, and even then, I spend about as much on my clothes as I spend buying his - he hates to shop so I buy all his). I personally don't like the idea of having each our own "do whatever you want" budget. I'd rather work on a case by case basis. When we do small purchases we don't check with eachother, but when we do large ones (like over 100$) then we might run it by the other person first to see if they think it's a good idea. Although my husband says he wants his own spending budget so that I'm not "checking up" on his spending, I remind him that it would have taken him a while to save up for his 1500$ computer or the 600$ he spent on the Wii and accesorries. I personally think this works better because we don't save up for special purchases, as long as we both agree it's worthwhile we just get it right away. Then again, we have more money than we need for our current lifestyle (just dumping it all on the mortgage). If you are on a really tight budget then I can see how each person having an individual personally spending fund would be good. I'm with you on that, you guys seem to have a similar way as us.... I prefer it that way, although I like to have a surtain amount of indipendance I do feel that working this way also makes out relationship more stable and secure.
-
I think what ever works best for individuals.... personally my H2B and I aren't that well organised, we keep it simple.... we don't have separate bank accounts just one joint account that everything goes in and out of. H2B is lucky enugh to earns quite a bit more than me, I earn enough so that I pay half of all the house hold bills but his money pays for going out, holidays, clothes ect... and he has never seen it like I don't pay my way, We put aside a surtain amount for savings ( joint again ) and take out spending money each week as and when. I don't know if its because we have been going out a long time but we don't feel the need to wright everything down - whos paying for what, everything gets paid and we both check the bank statments at the end of the month, for us it comes down to trust and as we are a couple what we earn is ours, like I say everyone is different and its interesting to learn what works for others, maybe I should take a leaf out of your girlies books lol....

I believe the only reasons the blood test would impact the outcome of the wedding, is if the bride and groom are blood related, one or both parties has some forms of STD, or if one or both parties is HIV/AIDS positive. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on the subject will be along...but...if none of those things above are of a concern to you or your fiance, it should be just fine. Hi there, Thats what I wondered, if there ever was a problem could you still go ahead with some form of ceremony, thanks for your input

Ha ha.... I'm forgetting most of you girlies are american / Canadian, Thanks for all your advice, I will take it on board and try my hardest, I must admit evenings are the hardest for me because I get in from work @ 5.30pm ( unless I go to the gym straight from work ) and my H2B gets in aroind 7pm and I always wait to eat our meals together so I'm really hungry when I get in, I know I should grab an apple or something but I don't, I reach for crisps ! Anyway going to the gym tonight, I've worked out that realistically I could do the gym 34 times before holiday... wish me luck xxx

Sorry.... LOL I'm forgetting, a stone is 14 pounds

Any tips or advice would be more than gratfully received, Thanks !
