Hi Samantha, personally I wouldn't, you never know what could happen, I'm sure everything would be ok but you never know. Plus I would rather the money be in my back account for as long as possible, better in yours than someone elses or do you mean pay for it all now on a credit card or something ? If so then again it wouldn't really matter wether you pay by card now or when you arrive or am I missing what you are saying completely ??

We'll party for a while and do what you are doing mummergirl-- head to a free bar! Kat and dmarie, your weddings are sooooooo close!!!!!! Yay! Thats really bad I think, so baisically they wont let us stay on the terrace from 6pm - 8pm ( dinner ) then 8pm till 11pm ( partying / dancing ) ? WTF That means the reception will be cut short and finish at 9pm if it starts at 6pm!!! I don't want to just go to a bar at 9pm I want to be dancing till at least 11pm !!! I am quite annoyed about this. Its no skin off their nose if we stay on the terrace with the equipment till 11pm suly ?? I didn't know this was an issue. So.... is it right that if we use our IPOD and docking station for the whole event they will let us stay on the terrace untill 11pm ? I don't get what the deal is with this, no wonder Gaby hasn't got back to me straight away GGRRRRRR.

The day goes by so fast, you are able to re-live it and maybe see some things you didn't know about We had the mariachi trio during the cocktail hour, so the sound guy moved the equipment from the gazebo to the reception area, inside and out on the terrace. Our dinner and reception music was all on our ipod, but the sound guy played it so that there were no 1 second gaps in between each song. He controlled the volume during speaches, played the right songs during the ritual dances, la vibora, the garter, bouquet toss, etc. I think it was worth paying for the extra time with the sound system. We had 41 people. There is a bar in the tower lobby which is where we had dinner and reception, right next to our tables. Cannot remember what time the main lobby bar closes, but many of our guests were there until close that night. Hi Paula, thanks for your responce, I'm just having a few issues at the moment trying to explain that I don't want to use my 3hours of dreams equipment during the dinner, I want to save it all for the partying after and use our docking station for back ground music during dinner, we'll see what she comes back with .....

Has any one else had problems with the language barrier with Gaby ? Don't get me wrong I find her very helpful but sometims it is so hard to explain on email and we end up sending half a dozen emails just trying to make sense of each other - sooo frustrating ! I have an issue at the moment. We would like to use our own IPOD and docking station for back ground music during dinner ( which alot of you have said this is no problem ) and then we are hiring Dreams equipment for 3 hours which I want to use after dinner for dancing. Gaby read the email as I want a londer reception and will have to pay more for longer use of Dreams equipment and drinks service Surly we get drinks service with the meal which is included in the package and then after that we can all fetch our own drinks from the lobby bar as we are partying on the terrace ?? I do not want to pay extra for drinks service I find this a total waste of money. Does anyone have any thoughts on this ? I am feeling quite conserned : - ( ( sorry for the long post )

Has anyone thought about having background music playing during dinner ? We are already paying to hire Dreams music equipment for the dancing / partying after dinner but thought it would be nice to have some music playing in the back ground although I don't want to pay again for the equipment. What are your thoughts on this ? Has anyone who has already got married done this ? If so what did you do and how did it work out? Do you think an IPOD and docking station would be sufficient for this ? There will only be around 35 of us. Also why is it so hard to get hold of the legal ceremony wording ? I know this is a big issue but it is so frustrating, how do we know if we want to do our own wording or stay with the origional ?? Am I right in thinking that we get drinks service through cocktail hr and dinner ? Can anyone tell me what time the lobby bar closes ? Is the lobby bar near to the Terrace ? Sorry for all the questions, thanks

Paying for Reception at Dreams

Of course paying for extra set up and waiters is understandable. Another beef, is that the basic wedding package comes complimentary if you have more than 10 guests or staying in honeymoon suite for 7 days. But the packages that include more, don't seem to take into consideration the first. For example the first package is 795, the second 1500. Shouldn't the second one be 1500 minus the complimentary portion? Meaning you only pay for the extras? Is it me or this doesn't make sense? I totally agree ! If any of you girls have any luck with negotiation please keep us informed, I've possibly been a little too laid back about this, I just thought if theres nothing I can do about it I'd better stop moaning lol.... but I still fully agree ! -

Hi Samantha, I will try to attatch them for youHope this does it, lets see....

The only thing I haven't done is make the protein bread, I replaced it with wholegrain instead. Did you make it? Well done !! Keep it up, its soooo worth it !! No I didn't make the bread, I didn't think it was all that important, I do the same as you ans just substitute it with whole meal, it seems to work fine. I did pig out the other night, we had friends round and we sent out for an indian, I had a madras curry with ice, a whole naan bread AND popadoms and pickles !! I was sooo ill the next day, I was nearly sick and I had terrible stomach pains throughout the day, that tought me a lesson, I won be doing that again in a hurry I can tell you that ! LOL...

Well.... this is my 6th week on the scarsdale diet and I have officially lost 14 pounds !!! I now weigh 124 pounds !! I've never felt so good in my life and can't remember the last time I did and all in under six weeks ! We're off to Turkey on Friday so it is possible to loose 14 pounds in 6 weeks, thank you all for your support, now the hard part... keeping it off on holiday.... I don't thinks so LOL

If you want to upgrade to the 100 pic package you can't just pay the diff! you have to pay the full whack for the 100 pic package. Now to me that is a lot of cash (about $1000) for an extra 50 pics and it may be worth spending that cash getting extra prints from what he has already taken. I'm trying to find out if he does TTD and if so how much? and if we can add extra hours on and pics with him direct for how much? When I find out I'll let you know but so far he isn't answering lol Thanks for sharing that info. WOW an extra $1000 for 50 pics! no way am I paying that !!! How can they justify it !! It makes me soooo angry.

I am getting married on 12th Nov. Is so nice to finally have some brides on here that are getting married around the same time as I am. I know some other brides have had issues with having outside vendors for flowers... although if you are just buying them yourself I wouldn't have thought this wouldn't be an issue but I would just check... I hope you can this would be a nice idea !

Quick way to lose 7-8 lbs for dress fitting
JODEY replied to msasfraz's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
DO THE SCARSDALE DIET !!! I lost 14 pounds in 3 weeks, a pound a day for the first week ! GOOGLE it, its very easy to follow, mainly a low carb diet and no alcohol for first two weeks, but well worth it !! I'm now 8st 13 pounds, I've done every diet under the sun and this is the only thing that has worked for me, HAVE A GO !! ;-) Its actually a medical diet founded in the 70's by an american doctor. -
Its all looking good !! I love your bouquet idea !!! I just love the colour !!

Congratulations !!! I've always liked the girls name Franchesca ( Frankie )

Hi Ladies, Just wondered if you could offer any advice or had any experience with upgrading your photography package with the photographer that Dreams provides ? I have opted for the Ultimate package and have decided to go with the photographer that Dreams provides and take the 50 photos that are included with the package although I have been thinking about upgrading this to get more photos and possibley have him stay longer, did anyone else do this and did you think it was worth the extra money ? I've finally been able to get onto his website but still not see the gallery, what I have seen I thought was impressive....

Are your BM paying for .......
JODEY replied to JODEY's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Oh yes, of course, if they were going to pay for their own dresses I would just ask thet they be the colour of our theme (Aqua / Turquoise ) but as for style I would leave that up to them to decide, even if they were all different as long as the colours were similar, I'd love to be able to pay for them and who knows its still a long way off I might be able to, you girls know how it is... things just just keep mounting up LOL... -
Are your bridesmaids paying for their own dresses ? Not sure if its the same everywhere else but in the UK it is tradition for the bride or brides parents to pay for the bridesmaids dresses. As this is a budget wedding I was thinking of asking them to buy ther own. Do you think thats cheaky ? They are already paying for their trip.... Any thoughts ?? Maybe when the time gets closer depending on how our budget is I could maybe help out and pay something towards each of them.

Hi girlies, The company you need to contact is Planner 1 events and the ladys name is Gabi Lavor, her email is - [email protected] I'll worn you I thought it was rather expensive and I've decided to stay with the Dreams set up, The lounge set up is lovely but personally I can not justify spending the extra money.
