  2. awesome pictures...you colors are beautiful...glad you had such a good time...CONGRATS!!!!!
  3. Sounds about right...My TA booked me and honey for 7 nights in a junior suite,,,with airfare and transfers included came to $2750.

I wouldn't try contacting Chandyln until you have your date confirmed. She is the wedding coordinator at ROR... but isn't responsible for actually booking your date. She already seems overwhelmed with emails from brides... contacting the general wedding department on the Riu webiste would probably be best. Good luck! True indeed....Duh! did'nt think about that...Nice catch!!
  6. aboard!! The first thing to get used to around these parts is that you'll never get anything close to an immediate response from the wedding coordinating crew in ROR. lol. But don't fret..like Lizz said, sometimes it takes them a little while to get back to you because they have so many weddings to deal with. But they will ALWAYS get back to you. If the date/time you wanted is not available I'm pretty sure something close can be worked out. Overall, i think everyone comes back truly happy with their results...if that makes you feel any better. Did you try reaching Chandlyn @ [email protected] or (876)972-2200? Bobbi
  7. good question!! i'd like to know that as well...
  8. Hey Dara!! to the forum!! I'm having my reception at the plantation...mostly because im having about 115 guests . If you're having a larger party, my suggestion would be the plantation...not sure if poolside can accomodate a huge wedding party...but then again I've never been, the space may be huge. Bobbi
  9. thanks a bunch!! this is gonna sound soooo annoying but my statement above was correct right? the $10 pp is paying for them to keep the seagrape open with a bartender...right? wanna make sure there is no confusion.
  10. and Congratulations !!! This site is so helpful and all of the ladies are AWESOME. You've come to the right place...you'll gain helpful wedding planning tips, support during crisis, and make a bunch of gal pals at the same time. Glad to have you!
  11. smile35:by the way...what are the hours of operation for all of the bars? sorry for so many questions....
  12. so basically the $10 pp is paying for them to keep the seagrape open with a bartender...right? Dunn's river and St. Ann's are still open bar as well correct? only difference is the other hotel guests are allowed to be there as well?
  13. it doesnt seem right to have to pay for drinks at an AI...
  14. Ok..so let me get this all straight. Seagrape is private open bar for $10 pp. no food. Dunn's River & St. Ann's are both semi private...but im guessing you have to pay for drinks? no food also right? sorry to ask the same stupid questions but it's just a little confusing.
  15. welcome to the forum!! it really depends on your preference...of course jamaica's climate is very warm so chiffon would be a nice airy material...but bump that!!! lol my dress and my bridesmaid dresses are all a satin material. I got what I liked!! it's your day!! you wear whatever dress gives you butterflies in your stomach whether satin of silk!! and you make them wear whatever makes them look pretty...just not prettier than you!! lol...if it's satin, they can deal with it, it's only one day! welcome again..and congrats!!!
  16. Welcome aboard...any question you have has probably already been answered somewhere on this forum...this is a great place to be! I think you need to travel on the 24th just to be on the safe side. My wedding is 6/28/08 but me and honey are leaving on 6/25.
  17. Has anyone used the Tatto cover from David's Bridal? i bought it but havent tried it yet....
