  1. I believe I can speak for many of us when I say..."We would like to see pics of you in these dresses!"
  2. I have Fios internet. I did look at all the pics but I clicked on each thumbnail. It took 3sec to load after I clicked. I love your photos.
  3. My sister is an optometrist and got married after school. She uses her maiden name (our maiden name?) at work and her husband's name for other things. Her hubby is greek and it is a difficult last name. She said when she wants them to remember her name, she uses our name. When she wants people to forget her name, she uses her married name. I will probably change my name. I like my maiden name (which I took back after my first marriage) and had considered just keeping it, but then I met FI. I like his name too. I get to keep an Irish surname. His twin's wife kept her maiden name. And I think his sister uses her maiden name professionally. FI doesn't really care which way I decide. The paperwork to change names is a PITA though.
  4. Congratulations and welcome back! Can't wait to see your pics.
  5. I like the first one too. You will probably like it more once it is altered and more fitted to you. Both dresses are very pretty.
  6. Your pics and your bod look fabulous! I'm sure your fiance will love this gift. I'm sure he'll want the real thing after seeing your BD book!
  7. I agree with Martha. Pictures of even the smallest detail please! The linens are all gold at the restaurants? Interesting. Is there a pic of that? ; )
  8. Right now I work on a newer show called "Color Correction." I used to work on "House Hunters" and "House Hunters International" and sometimes I story-edit for "My House is Worth What" We watch a ton of hgtv. I have it on right now. My nephew likes all the bright colors. House Hunters Intl is one of my faves.
  9. Okay, here is the spreadsheet I did to compare packages. I estimated travel charges and I don't believe these prices include the tax estimation. I just did the ones that were in our budget. When you see preferred package, it means the one that is 2 hours long. Feel free to change, add, do whatever to the document to help you out in your wedding planning. Photog Comparison.xls
  10. I am a critical care nurse working in the Medical ICU/Coronary Care Unit. It is interesting but can be very stressful. I worked for 5 years as a flight attendant for Delta before I went back to school for nursing. That was a lot of fun but the industry got a bit rough after 9/11. I miss all the travel opportunities though and I hate having to pay for airfare.

It looks like he does pretty nice pictures. I'm trying to find someone who is good within my budget though and your budget sounds like mine I looked up (there is a thread on here somewhere with a list of Riviera Maya photographers) the different photogs and prices. Then I made up a spread sheet comparing them. We liked Michael's work the best of the more affordable packages. I can attach the spreadsheet later...have to go to work for some stupid class on new ICU software. We also have a friend going who is into amateur photography, so I figure she can supplement the 2 hours. I really just want pictures on the beach and around the resort of us and maybe some group shots.
  12. Hi all, I just booked with Michael Maurus of Cancun Wedding Photography. We are going with the 2hr package. The price is $650 plus tax and $90 travel charge to Gran Bahia Principe Coba and includes photog and assistant plus website with 150 pics for 3 months, all pictures on CD and a free photobook. We will just print the pics when we get home. Extra hours are $150 per hour. Now, I can check that off my list! So far, they have been easy to work with and very quick to respond with package info and availability.
  13. That poor guy! He is a much better sport than I would be. I'd be ticked. I'd probably be all emotional and crying on camera
  14. I am thinking of doing this at my AHR instead of a guest book. I haven't trolled the craft stores yet to see what is available. We are now having our AHR first weekend of Dec. Thought it would be pretty for a Dec. party! Thanks for the post!
  15. Congratulations on your engagement! You'll find tons of info on here for planning!
