  4. Need your help ladies. I am trying to find some pics of Ocho Rios, Jamaica so I can order some postcards. Me and Carly have been discussing it and my pics are too small. How do I search for (and save) larger pics that would work for me. How do I know if the ones that I do find are too small? ...I am DIY challenged so please bear with me.
  5. My wedding is on a Monday. We are flying in on Saturday and my guests are leaving on Wednesday. It wasn't a problem for them as they are using this as their vacation, which they would have taken the days off. I am only having 7 guests, so didnt have that many people to worry about. Good luck.

  8. For those of you who are getting postcards for your OOT bags (or other device), how did you get them. I know they can be ordered online but te site I found require a minimimum of 50 order. I only need 10. Any other suggestions?

If it doesn't work, PM you email address and I will send it to you.
  10. I am having my ceremony at Beaches Boscobel, then honeymooning at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios, Jamaica. I would be glad to share some costs if you PM me.

  12. They look awesome and I am so going to print your directions for them as these are the ones that I want and I want to try DIY.

  14. I still have stuff to get but some additional items not on your list is: lint roller mini first-aid kit bug repellant wipes tissue packets small photo album was going to do a beach towel but our resort offers them (1 less thing to pack) hand sanitizer manicure set sponge (for bath) notepad (and will add a pen when I find them I like) I am giving mine to my guests a week or so before our trip. I dont want to have to pack it and this will help them to pack less (some of this stuff may be on their packing list)
  15. I would love for the next person (or someone else soon-to-be) travelling to Ocho Rios to help me with something. I have guests staying between 2 resorts and although there is no costs from the resorts, there is the cost for transportation. I would love it if someone could get me an approximate cost between Beaches Boscobel and Sandals Grande in Ocho Rios. Thanks.
  16. Welcome to the forum. I am getting married at Beaches Boscobel and then honeymooning at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. I cant tell you any specifics about Sandal's weddings, but the information you seek will surely be here.
  17. I am just trying to figure out how much my food is going to cost me. I have an AHR buget and wanna see how much I should estimate for food. Once I get a "formula" of some sort, I can work on changing the guest list and/or food served. I am not sure if my question is an answerable one...just wanted to send out the question...maybe I just need to make a definate menu first and go from there.
  18. For those of you doing an AHR DIY style... I am working on my guestlist. (Wow, more than I thought) and I am trying to guess an aproximate "per guest" cost. How should I go about beginning to guess this amount? I want to work on my budget and this is impossible without the per guest cost. I have not decided between a dessert only reception or cocktail reception. Either way, it will be DIY. I know this question may be difficult but any suggestions would be appreciated...Just not sure how to get started.
  19. Yeah! Great idea. I downloaded it and tweaked it to my needs. Thank you.
  20. I spoke to an eyelash lady today in my area and she has 2 different types. One is only $25 but only lasts about a week. Another type is much better, but $150 and fill-ins are $35 every 2-3 weeks (your 1st fill-in is free). I am going to call her in a month or 2 for a consult. She is going to see if there is something in between that would work on my lashes to last for the week without me loosing any of the "look". Yeah, I am so excited. I just hope I dont become addicted and feel like I need them permanantly.
  21. Well, my situation is a bit different. I got pregnant and had my daughter at 17. I love my daughter with all that I am although I am glad that I had her early and unexpected. I am not a "baby" person. I dont want this to sound harsh and ungrateful but I do not want more children. I love babies as long as they are someone else's. My friends have small children and I can play with them but then I am ready for them to go home. I think part of my reluctancy to have more kids comes from my experience with my daughter. It has been hard. I know most of that is b/c I had her so young. I was 7 months pregnant when I graduated high school. I never married her father (he was, and still is, an ass). I have had to do most of this on my own (although my mom helped a lot, she doesnt replace a "partner/husband/father"). Financially, buying a home, sending myself to college, working full-time, school full-time, making sure daughter has all that she needs and some of what she wants. She is now 15 and the emotional part of her life (boys, peer pressure, school) has given a new definition to the term "difficult raising a child". I know all parents go through some of these obstacles but maybe it helps to explain my reason for not wanting to procreate any more. I even checked into being a surrogate for a family. They decided to go another route b/c it had been so long since I had my daughter (they were going to spend a lot of $ so they wanted someone who they felt could "more certainly" give them a child). Anyway...just my thoughts...hope I didn't come across as an ungrateful heifer.

  23. I never would have thought that the guest list would be a problem for a DW. I would invite everyone if I thought they would come. Almost everyone I know is unable to afford it. Only my daughter, mother, aunt, and two friends of mine (and their husbands) are coming. It is all of the other stuff that I am fretting over (the AHR plans).
  24. I am getting married in Jamaica and I have only verbally asked a few people to join us. For the reception....need to send out invites to everyone. What are some of you ladies doing? How do I acknowledge that we will have already gotten married but want them to attend our AHR? Your templates would be wonderful if you have any or suggestions on how you worded them. I have the template for the ticket type invitation but that seems more appropriate if I was inviting everyone to come to Jamaica (which I would if they could afford it).
