I was looking at Target.com today and realized Target sells wedding dresses. I just thought it was so odd I thought I'd share. They all are under 200 bucks. I don't know how pretty they are in person but hey if anyones looking for a second dress or TTD you could always go to Target!

I love HP!!! I have done the midnight thing for the movies AND book each time. This year was the longest line though. I finished the book the evening I got it ..got it as 12: something and finished that evening around 7. Now I have sucked my FI and he is actually next to me on book number 4. Hahahah. I have to say I love the books much more than the movies though!

My dress is pretty thin so adding a bustier wasn't a problem b/c I don't have alot of material anyways. But I picked the corset whatever. I think I'd be fine without it I've worn strapless dresses before and it was fine but i wanted everything to be super smooth and I wanted something sexy under my dress. So I bought a satin bustier it sucks everything in and gives you a little more cleavage hahaha. I love the way it goes with my dress. But I say it's all personal choice.

I got a code from my TA and then I had to take that and go to the RIU site and put it in to get my REAL code from the RIU. However, noone informed me of this and when I found out I got scared b/c I hadn't done this I hadn't CONFIRMED my time. Thankfully my TA and Chandlyn got it all figured it out and my 4pm time was confirmed. I got an email from the RIU that had all the information that I needed.

Hi guys, I have a question and it's kinda long so bear with me to try and spit it out. I was wondering if any of you had information on price at the RIU. If you do the free wedding and then how much is it for the judge (non religious) and marriage license just the LEGAL stuff and 2 witness if we don't have it. Would it be cheaper to get the classic package (475) one that comes with it. I don't need the package for like flowers and stuff b/c I only have 5 guests. I might have 2 witnesses depending on how long they have to be there. My second question is I have no idea what else I need to do since I'm down to a month and I didn't have alot of time to plan alot. I 've hit a wall. Please help!!!

I didn't know where else to post this and this is an older thread. I just got my dress back from alterations and they put this I don't know what it is cardboard thing like fake boobs (haha) in the top of the dress. Can I take this out? I was wondering b/c it makes it bulky to carry the dress and I was wondering about carrying it around the airport and such. Did anyone else have this and did you take it out? Will it mess up the steaming and wrinkle my dress?

My sister made her own veil also. She just bought tulle and a comb and a few pearls and zoom it was done. Also when I bought my veil I just bought a blusher for 20 bucks and the seamstress lady said if I bought 2 she would sew them together for 10 bucks instead of spending 100 bucks on a veil. So that would be a cheaper way also. And if you want beads or something those are super easy to sew on.

My sister suffered from this during pregnancy. My FI is a chiropractor and if you know anything about chiropractic they adjust your bones and joints so that all your nerves are in the right place and not "pinched". He always says he hears women saying they have pain and they don't go in. But he says chiropractic can help with that. That's my suggestion. Just go in and see if that will help. Some chiropractors have acupuncturists (Sp?) so if you wanted that too (though I must say I'm scared of having needles punched on me) but hey ...anyways that's my suggestion. Doesn't hurt to try. Sorry about the pain that sucks!!!

I'm sorry for hurting ones opinions. I was on my way out of the door and wrote it kind of fast. First let me say I do not clump all woman in to one batch. I don't believe all girls who have had abortions are hoochies. I have very personal thoughts on this I'd rather not share. I work with CPS very closely and handle cases of children who have been taken out of their families houses and put into foster care so I have a glimpse that foster care is not that great. I actually have quite a few big disagreements with it. Yes I am pro-choice on that women who have been raped, incest have every right to make that choice. But I also see girls who are just out there and know in every way they could become pregnant and see abortion as a quick easy way to solve the problem. Seeing the children I do and the families I've seen the bad and good of both sides of foster care. I've also seen the abuse of children first hand. Being a child of an abusive family and then working with it might make me biased. But I didn't mean to come out and be stereotypical which I'm not. Growing up I adamantly did not want children because I did not want to raise my children like I was raised. It took me a while and alot of people to tell me just b/c of my abuse I would not do the same. As soon as I realized this and got use to the idea of wanting children I had it ripped away from me. Then I go in and see these children who have all the hope in the world, and being abused and women who have 5 abortions and just can't seem to get in their head how to stop it and wonder how crazy this world is. I apologize for the post before but I didn't have the time and just typed up something. But I do want to say I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings with the post. Feel free to delete it if you like.

This is a great thread...I loved reading everyones responses. I too was the neighborhood babysitter and not only that I've been a nanny for 5 years and worked in daycares. I've never worked outside childcare. As a teenager I never wanted kids, I was adamant against them. But ever since I found out I might not be able to have children I want them. Strange isn't it? My FI very much wants kids but he's always been we'll try to have them and if it's not in the books we'll adopt. So even if they aren't my biological children I can still adopt kids and love them just as much. What irks me is people who can have kids up the hoolah (haha) and then abuse them or girls who are hoochies and have abortions. I am pro-choice but I believe if you're out there having sex either use protection or own up. I'm gonna step off my soap box before I get carried away. But congrats to all the BDW girls expecting. Call me if you need a babysitter

My wedding is december and I'm always pale. So I'm not sure what to do either. It's too cold too lay out. I do have the I think its jergen where it's lotion with little self tanner. But if i get in the pool will it streak off? Acck now I"m worried. I don't want to be TAN but I don't want to be white in a white dress.

This is probably stupid and doesn't make sense but I was wondering....everyone says they have which wedding package be it the royal or classic or whatever. And some come with an upgrade. My question is if we can't pay the wedding fees until we're actually there and meet with Chandlyn how do you get a room upgrade if you haven't even paid for the package yet? This is probably a simple answer I just don't know. Hahah oh well.

Just an update: I took it to a small alteration place. I went in and the little chinese lady asked what I needed and I told her a hem. So she asked me to take the dress out to show her. I did and she looked at it and freaked out. She held the lace and tsk tsked and said "Nope I can't do this" "No" "No way" "This too difficult" She then preceded to tell me how she would have to take the zipper out (which runs down the entire back to my butt) I was a little worried but am grateful she said no. So I took it to David's and just did the 95 bucks on it. The lady was so nice and I saw her work on her daughter who was there that had bought a dress 2 sizes to big and her mom altered it that very day. It was perfect. I hate that I spent a hundred bucks. But I feel so much safer and not as stressed about it.

I'm in the same boat...my mom and sis got me garters and they are blue and I'm hoping they don't show either! Yikes!

Ok people wear 2 one to throw and one to keep. Or that's what I've been told. I think I will throw mine probably well my FI will throw it hahah...and if we throw it in Jamaica my dad will be the only single one so hahah he'll get it. but I'm having 2 AHR so I might throw it there instead. The only problem I'm worried about is my sister and mom are getting them for me and getting blue ones so it takes care of the "something new" and th "something blue" and I hope you can't see it through my dress. But if it doesn't go with the rest of your things underneath your dress and you're not throwing it I don't see a reason unless you feel like it. But I think it's a personal choice.

Ok so I have my first dress alteration appointment on Saturday at Davids Bridal. I was wondering I've heard that they run high on price and all I need is a hem. In texas I was quoted 95 bucks. Should I go somewhere else? And do I trust just a regular seamstress with my wedding dress?? Would it be super cheaper. Cheaper is better! I could use that extra money for something else. I'm in the St. Louis area if that helps if anyone has any recomendations. And heres my dress it just needs a small hem and thats all.

I think she emails people who are getting married sooner first. I'm getting married in less than 2 months and she responds within the same day or the next. Seeing you're getting married next year she probably addresses other ones first. Thats my guess.
