  1. 2 for us as well. I'm going to work with the timing with the dj, so that the bridal party entrance song is allowed to play out completely by the time the last girl comes down. Then my song which will likely be shortened a bit...but you can fade out a song after any chorus so that it sounds natural...just a matter of timing. I like the idea of having my own song, and since I couldn't make up my mind and settle on just one, this is better.
  2. Relative is right. With the price we're paying for everything else, we're trying to keep the bands under 1K...for both of us. I got my dream ring for the engagement, and luckily the matching band is only another $500. He's the simple type, but I do want his band to have some diamonds, but still...I can find one he'll like for around five hundred as well I know. For us, spending thousands on the bands wasn't logical..we would rather put the money elsewhere..like another day in paradise down there.
  3. I posted this question a while back...no luck for me either. Hope someone knows SOMEthing.
  4. You GO, girl....you guys were bringing the heat! Beautiful, and congratulations!!
  5. Long title.. I know you aren't allowed to have professional photos done at the ruins, but I LOVE the rocks and the colors of the beach near the ruins. What exactly are the restrictions in terms of having photos taken on the beach itself? I know theres plenty of beach front down the way, but I'm wondering if its possible to shoot close enough to get the ruins in the background at all? Has anyone done this and if so, what time of day? Trying to avoid crowds as I hate the idea of having a hundred looky loo's in the background. Oh, this would be for a TTD shoot.
  6. Oh my goodness, where have I been??!! ANNY CONGRATULATIONS!! He is just LOVELY..those EYES!!! Hey, I have a couple of candidates if you are looking to set him up already! hahaa..between you and Tammy, I'm going to have my girls married off. I know c-section pain, so just hang in there girl..it DOES get better.
  7. OOooh, thank you BOTH Morgan and Jason!! Love the idea of a dinner cruise, but definitely going to look into those restaurants. You are a veritable well spring of information!
  8. Not sure this is the right place for the question, but I'm trying to find a place to have our rehearsal dinner near Tulum, Puerto Aventuras or Cozumel. We weren't even planning on having one, but my fmil emailed me last week saying they wanted to pay for one for us, so I sort of feel like its the right thing to do. I'm thinking preferably Tulum. We wanted to do it at Mezzanine, but they don't host groups larger than 8 (we're expecting maybe 20). I like the idea of some place casual (no dress code) but still nice. Definitely want a place on the beach since we're all mid westerners and I know my family would get a kick out of dining oceanside. Any suggestions?
  9. I am SOOO on it. Thanks for starting this thread...been thinking about finding some exercises for this, and now I have 'em. Thanks ladies!
  10. Loathed Ambre...I mean LOATHED her..trifling, tattling ass. She got on my nerves because the only thing she had to offer was inside info on who was doing what. I wasn't really rooting for anyone, but since it got down to Ambre and Daisy, Daisy was the lesser of the two evils. I mean, really..they ALL deserve each other since you know he wasn't looking for a real relationship anyway. Might as well have taken the one who would at least blend with his lifestyle. Amber looked like somebody's mother...she is the oldest looking 37 yr old I've ever seen.
  11. Sorry for my lag time ladies....today was crazy. We're still trying to finish moving, and for some reason FH seems to think that I don't need to be chained to my computer. I have no idea what he's thinking... OFCOURSE I'll post pics when I get the dress. I probably won't get it til June..because you want to know the final piece of the Fate puzzle? This woman lives less than five miles from my older sister in Chicago. Yes, a huge city..and she's not even 15 minutes away from my big sis. So my sister is going to bring it down with her when she comes home next time she visits. Thats cutting out the shipping costs and fear...I know people ship gowns all the time, but I'm on cloud 9 knowing that mine won't have to be boxed up and man handled by some over worked and over stressed UPS person. She even offered to just let me send her half as the deposit, and take my time with the rest..she said she knew how it was planning a destination wedding and that the dress is mine and as long as we squared things before my sister picks it up, she's fine with it...to use the rest of the money elsewhere for now. This woman is unbelievable..if I was going to give birth again, I'd name the next one after her, I swear. I can post pics of the gown on the model...don't want to post the ones she sent me, since they have her face and all and thats seems kinda rude considering we're on the net. At least without her permission. So..heres the dress on the model. Its a Maggie.
  12. Its Fate..I'm telling you ladies. So, a few of you may remember, last month I posted pics trying to find a particular dress. Well, someone posted a response with ANOTHER variation of the style I was looking for, and I actually completely fell in love. Only problem was..when I found the dress..it was about five hundred over my budget. My budget was pretty firm...not that kind of room to adjust, so I planned to order my second choice since I was just frustrated and thinking I just wasn't going to find a close enough version to the dream gown. Well, yesterday, I decide to do one last web search for the dress. At the very end of the second page, I found a Craigslist listing for the style. Now, I still wasn't holding out much hope. The dress actually comes in only two colors, one of which is the gold accent color I was looking for but had never seen anyone sell. Ladies...IT WAS THE ONE!!! And wanna know what else? Its MY size with the bridal size adjustment...and even the length should work perfectly with no alterations(she's two inches shorter than me, but wore two inch heels..unbelievable!) Just amazing. Theres more. She was also a destination bride! She sent me photos of her in the dress on the beach...so I'm even getting to see what it looks like in the right setting insted of just trying to use my imagination. FH is sitting here laughing at me because I am so worked up (he just doesn't get why thats important), but I am just in love with the thing all over again. The best part is, its within my budget! I'm saving six hundred dollars buying it from her as a private seller!! She's just the sweetest and has been so great answering my questions and sending pics. I'm just SO thankful I stumbled across her listing. It really does seem like Fate! God was looking out for me on this one.
  13. I had it with the quads as well. I won't say its no big deal...just that it certainly doesn't have to be. They will moniter you, and just do as your doc says. They didn't even have me make any major changes, and my pregancy was about as high risk as you can get. I failed the first test (in spades in fact because the nurse failed to tell me not to eat) but the next couple showed my blood sugar levels were only slightly elevated. Believe me, they will let you know if things start getting out of hand. Its VERY common. Please, don't get stressed...easier said than done, I know. Just want you to know that its not horrible news.
  14. OK girl, I am so thankful right now that I just now saw your dress because I'd have had yet another change in plans if I'd seen it earlier! LOVE your dress on you, LOVE your BM's dresses, LOVE your bouquets..both the ceremony and toss. Loving your guest book, the hanging orchids...just all of it. You've done a wonderfully beautiful job on everything and I know your hubby to be, and your guests will be so impressed to see it all come together in a few days. God bless, and safe and happy travels to you and yours. You know I'll be waiting with baited breath to read your review post and see some pics as soon as you get back! Oh, and don't forget YOUR SETTING LOTION AND SPRITZ!!!!! hahahhaa
  15. Seriously, girl you are WEARING the hell out of that dress! (yes, thats a compliment lol). Thats the first dress I fell in love with, but I'm totally afraid I couldn't rock it like you are. Looks perfect on you. I love it, and you have the figure to pull it off beautifully.
  16. Hey, umm...Stephanie? I lost my keys somewhere....help a sista out? hahaha! You are magnificent!
  17. They look fine, BUT I agree...they are not the same bags as pictured in the photo. You didn't get what you expected...what they advertised, so I can see being upset. Hope it works out...I'd pursue that refund.
  18. I've read that before. Done a little research into it myself, and ya, evidently because of the pigment in our skin, it can leave dark spots or something. It sucks. I actually heard SOMEthing being advertised on QVC that is supposed to be permanent hair removal. Only problem is, they were trying to fix my high def and doing stuff to the t.v. at the time (FH and FFIL) so I had no picture, just the sound and I didn't get the info on it. If I come across it again, I'll let you know. I wanted to do something with a few areas myself.

  20. I use Bare Escentuals now, and I do really like it. When I first put it on, the color seemed a bit off...but as it sets, about 10 minutes later it looks really natural. I especially love that it looks natural in any light. Even outdoors! Its probably what I'll wear for the wedding, but I always want to be sure I'm using the best for whatever the situation!
  21. Everytime I hear the words "loose curls" all I think is setting lotion. Thats our only hope, especially in high humidity. Here in central Illinois, summers are killers and most girls I know just do the ponytail thing from about early July through September...no lie. hahhaa. The only thing I've had work is a liberal (and I do mean liberal) amount of setting lotion on wet hair (not even truly towel dried) and then after the set is done spritzing the curls BEFORE combing them out...not even with your fingers. In fact, I've sometimes just spritz on top and underneath the rollers prior to pulling them out. I'm not sure anything will last and last...not for a full day. BUT, that should get a girl through the ceremony and photos if things go well.
  22. I don't think the large will fit in my std envelope. BUT I guess I can always send them out seperately...with the first newsletter or something. Hmm...ya, its an odd size. Oblong or whatever. I need to check to see how big the envelopes measure. *sigh* I need my logo's made into seals still..anyone know if they do that? Oh, and for those who got those transparent photo return address labels, where did you buy them? I love those?
  23. A thousand thank you's ladies. You guys helped me slow down and calm down enough to deal with it instead of just REACT to it. I still haven't heard anything from her..no response to the emails. I actually sent a detailed list out to everyone last night giving them the exact location of the David's nearest them. See, all my girls are scattered. My troublemaker is the only one even here in town with me. Go figure. Billy's sister is in his hometown, so she's close. The other three are all out of state. And NONE of them have given me a hard time about the dress. They all love it, so its four against one at this point. Her daughter is actually supposed to bs serving as junior bridesmaid, though she won't look all that "junior". She's 15. But being younger, she is fine with the dress. Likes it in fact. Sidenote: we're moving this week. FH and FFIL are moving all the heavy stuff over to the new house. He took my plasma..which I depend on to keep the kids entertained. Unplugged EVERYthing including my computer so he could take the desk. I was like "Uhh..you know thats not gonna work, right?" I guess he thought if he limited my entertainment possibilities, I would pack more or something. HA! I am sitting Indian style on my living room floor looking down at my screen....I plugged in an old 13" t.v. for the kids directly into the wall (cable is still on) so they are happy..I am happy...he probably won't be when he walks in to discover how ingenious I've been. hahahahaha..what can I say? Ya, I'm addicted. Couldn't stay away from BDW or the net for an entire day. Please.
  24. Ah..nevermind. Got it. But just a heads up, the prices are great! I know there are a lot of Vista Print junkies, but I didn't see anyone post about the sale this week yet. It stated that it was one day, but the prices are still good today.
  25. Anyone get these? Everything is on sale (ofcourse) and they have "large" magnets you can customize. I'm thinking of using them, but can't find the measurements for exactly what their large is anywhere on thes site.
