I am sooo no help. I like them both!! LOL. I agree with PaulaV, maybe mix them up if its not too much. -
I'm actually torn about what we're planning to do. FI does not want to stay & HM in Jamaica. He's always said that he wants to HM in Hawaii. So, he wants us to come home and 2 days later leave for a 10 day stay in Hawaii. It was just impossible to go from Jamaica to Hawaii so returning home is our next best option. At first I didn't mind figuring it will give us an opportunity to pack light when we go to Jamaica & then repack when we get home to leave for Hawaii. I just don't want us to be tired from all of the traveling. But since this is what he's always wanted & I really do want to visit Hawaii, I've embraced the idea, more so because I know that this is the 1 thing he wanted.

Trust me, you are not alone when it comes to pinching nickels! I'm sure that I'll find many other places to spend that extra $200, especially when it's time to do alterations. I found the dress on www.houseofbrides.com. They seem to have lots of designers. Quote: Originally Posted by Raeka Hey $200 is alot of money to me, especially since I've been pinching nickels the way I am. IMO I wanted a nice dress but it's hard to belive I will only wear this dress once (well twice for my TTD) and then put it away where it will never come out. I'm glad I helped you out. Did you find your dress on the site or another? as long as you do your research on the seller I think you will be fine. It also comforted me that the company had the BB logo at top which put me at ease. I always do a google search on reputable businesses to like "scam bestbridalprices.com" .... I'm crazy when it comes to research I go full out! -

I'm so glad that you posted this! I was just stressing myself out trying to figure out if I should chance ordering the dress that I want online. I went to the store, tried it on & then started my research. The store has the dress for $780 but they match & beat prices by 5% if you find the dress online for less. But all "Match" dresses are mail order only & you have to provide all of your measurments & know what size you want the dress ordered in as they will not do this for you. The one good thing is that they allow you to have the dress shipped to the store & then you can pick it up. So I found the dress online for $616. After the 5% I'd be looking at about $585. Saving $200 bucks has me excited but I'm just sooo nervous that something will go wrong!!! Your post does comfort me but I'm still hesitant for some crazy reason! -
Good price for votive candle holders

Excellent site. Great prices! Thanks for the post! -
So, here are my 2 options. Which makes sense? Use the folded invitations, mailed out in an envelope as the STD, and insert a post card as the RSVP. Or, order 2 postcards, 1 as the STD, and the other as the RSVP card, but ofcourse, I'd have to mail that out in an envelope & they can just return the RSVP postcard to me. UGHHHH...Am I complicating this!! LOL! Morgan, I'll PM you my email address & I'd love to "borrow" from your website! I did see someone posted an entire list of free websites. I looked at them briefly but never made a decision.

I think that I will be ready to order by the end of the week. I did go to their site & register for the free sample pack & a catalog. It said that should arrive within 2 weeks. Now with that in mind, I don't know if I should wait until I get the samples to make sure they are what I have in mind in terms of quality, or just take a chance and prepare to order. I do feel confident that they are going to be nice since so many of you have used them & love them. In any event, I'll PM you with my email address and would appreciate it if you could send me the offer that you have. Thanks!

Carly, Great suggestion. I think I'll take a look and see what my options are for the business cards. And, nope, I don't have a webpage. I've been thinking about setting one up but for some reason, the thought overwhelms me. Morgan, Thanks for that warning. Who knew that something could be "too small" to mail!?!

Ladies, I have a question. I'd like to take advantage of Vista Prints offers so I'm thinking about ordering either the Oversized Postcards or the Folded Invitations to send out as STD's. The problem is that I wanted people to be able to RSVP to me after I send them out so that I can get an idea of how many people are actually interested & I'll have an estimate of how many invitations I'll need to send out. Since I'm making the invitations myself, I don't want to have to send invites out to those who aren't interested. This being said, I didn't see any kind of perforated Folded invites that could be used as RSVP's for the guests to tear off & return to me. Soooo, do you think I should buy an addl postcard & include that in the mailing as the RSVP card or should I just scratch the entire STD RSVP idea & just use the RSVP's when I mail out my actual invites? I hope I make sense here!

Loose Stone
JUSTUSTWO replied to cheese_diva's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My ring is white gold as well & when I went to the jeweler to get the ring cleaned, he told me that my stone was loose and that my prongs weren't high enough. He told me that the prongs were even with the table of the stone but that they should have been higher. So, he added gold to my prongs which raised them a bit, to sit over my stone. I definitely saw a difference once he added the gold, but it didn't impact the design of my ring in anyway. Maybe you can try adding to your prongs so that the stone sits tighter in the prongs. -
How do you clean your ring?
JUSTUSTWO replied to rodent's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I just went to the jeweler the other day & asked this same question because I was sooo ready to purchase jewelry cleaner. He adamantly discouraged the use of "over the counter" (lol) jewelry cleaners. He said that in many cases those solutions can actually damage the diamond & he would not recommend cleaning the ring that way. According to him its actually the pressure from the machines (steamers) that they use that cleans the stones, not any solution. So he suggested that when I want it cleaned to bring it in to him or any other jeweler. The benefit from that is they warn you if you have any loose stones, which I had. He scared me because he said that my stone was loose & he was surprised that I hadn't lost it. He said that once in a while I could use plain Windex and that would do the job as well! So, I guess the debate continues. I know one thing, the way my ring sparkled when I left, made me fall in love with it all over again! -
For those of you who do not like your ceremony times, make sure you follow up with Carolina to make sure ceremony times are actually confirmed. I too had a problem in the beginning and after double checking with Carolina, I was able to get the time that I really wanted. Many people book their dates but never go back to actually confirm their times.

The back of the 2nd dress is gorgeous, but I think that the 1st one is the winner! It looked great on you! -
Jamaica Blue Coffee
JUSTUSTWO replied to BrittneyD's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Hopels, if I remember correctly I paid less than $10 bucks for a medium sized bag. Ofcourse, each vendor has them for different prices. Just make sure you look around before buying them from the 1st place that you see them.
