  1. Dear neighbor, Thanks for hitting my car today and just leaving. You could have at least left a note! I hate the people who live in this condo building! Dear other neighbor, You don't have to threaten to throw people's stuff out just because it isn't locked up in their storage unit for a few hours or so. This is a new building and people are still moving in. It isn't your job to take other people's stuff. Dear Mike, When can we sell this condo and buy a house? I never tell you, but I hate living in a condo and I can't wait to get away from all of these ignorant people.
  2. Welcome to the forum! There are a handful of us Caribbean brides around here so let us know what we can help with!
  3. Aw... very cute! And a talented artist!
  4. to the forum- you came to the right place!

It's none of your business if we were using contraception (OUR CONDOM BROKE YOU BIATCH!); and how about you try being a little understanding about this, it's a hard time for me. Oh, and I loved how you looked a little relieved when I told you that I might miscarry again. Shows your true colors. Oh, hope your mission trip to Africa over the past 3 weeks taught you some compassion for others. Hmmm, not so much I'm guessing.... Dear Heidi's boss, I don't think you'll be relieved when she sues you for discrimination and harassment.
  6. You might be able to find something here that would make you both happy... I love these ties! They're a little pricey, but they might work. Vineyard Vines Men's Ties
  7. If she's on the "getting healthy" kick, what about a gift card to Trader Joe's on Whole Foods? Assuming you have them near you...
  8. Dear Mike, There better be a good reason for the Mr. Cheapness lately. I will be very disappointed if I don't have a little sparkler by the end of the year. and Dear Self, Get your fat blubbery ass off the couch and do something. You know you don't want to be a fat bride.
  9. You never know, maybe by the time you find your dream dress she may surprise you and contribute more than $1k. She might only be able to "guarantee" $1k now, but will do more if she can. I know that happens with my parents sometimes-they don't want to get my hopes up but then when they can do more than they say, it's a great surprise.
  10. Congratulations and to the fourm!
  11. My sister's engagement ring is palladium. Her fiance researches EVERYTHING and he found that palladium is similar to platinum in that it is very strong, but it keeps its color better than white gold, and its polish better than platinum. Her ring looks like a brand-new white gold ring all the time- it doesn't turn yellowy like white gold and it is very strong. From what I understand, though is that it still isn't very easy to find.
  12. I just signed up at sparkpeople at your recommendation! I'm in!

I just spoke to my other sister who is the MoH and she totally doesn't want to do a toast so I think I might do it instead. I'll check with the bride first of course, but this might be win-win for all of us. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
  14. Oh Edna, I am so sorry for your loss.
  15. I love them each separately and I think they will look fine. It looks like that rusty-redish-orange color is in the dress too. Can you buy one to match it up and then order the others if you like it?
  16. I have a couple of random wedding etiquette questions: -I am a BM, not MoH in my sister's wedding on Sunday. There are already 4 toasts: MoH, BM, FoB, FoG.... I have something that I wrote that I want to read, but are there already 4 toasts. Would it be too much for one more? It is 1 page, double-spaced. -I have heard that you say "best wishes" to the bride, and "congratulations" to the groom- is this true? Thanks!!
  17. Susan, everything looks great! I love your theme and everything ties in so well. Congratulations and good luck!
