  1. I found this on another website and couldn't stop cracking up!! Of course they’re scissors Dee’s Inbox

  3. That seems really high! I would confirm if it really is $175 per image. I'm not doing a Boudoir session right now, but will for our anniversary. When I inquired, my photog said it was basically the same as an engagement session, which was $150/hr and you get all of the EDITED photos on a high resolution CD. You co-own the photos so you can get them printed anywhere you like. My photog did tell me that getting the photos printed through her was going to cost more, but that they would go through a final editing/retouching before going to print to get you the best photos possible. Then again, my quote didn't include hair/makeup but did include as many outfit changes as I wanted.
  4. My florist told me 24, but that seems a bit small. Is that normal?
  5. I never got around to posting them, but here they are I really love the way they turned out. We're doing menus and fan/umbrella/favor tags as well. This is the back of the invites. All of the inserts can be tucked into the ribbon which extends from the front to the back of invite. Cute, right? Reception card... And my favorite, the "rsvp" cards. We're having a tiny wedding, so everyone we are inviting is going. No need for real RSVP cards, so we just ended up using these to confirm menu choices. I love the little graphics!
  6. Where did you guys find your ribbon for your fans and such? Did you buy it online? In stores? Help!
  7. OMG Good luck Jackie! My wedding is exactly 2 months from today! I have so much to do!
  8. I think the only other option for a party your size is Cascade Terrace, which IS oceanfront. There's Pinata Terrace, but it would be too small. Oceana isn't oceanfront, but it is supposedly more private and intimate.

Yarai quoted me $180 including the lanterns or $50 if I was bringing my own.
  10. Aw, thanks for a great review. You looked gorgeous! Can I ask how many flowers were actually in your bouquet?
  11. Is this acceptable? I don't think I've ever seen gold toned silverware and I think it might even looks strange.... But my colors are pale pink, fuschia and gold. I'm having gold chargers too. Do you think the silver toned silverware will clash?

  13. I am doing these as well. Just curious though, can you see the sand through the bag? I just don't want the sand to compete with the doily design on the bag...
  14. Yarai said we could even set up lanterns, so it's official. We're having our reception at Pinata Terrace. Not only that, but she is reserving Cascade Terrace too so that there is no overlap! Woohoo!
  15. For my outdoor reception, I was envisioning a lot of candles, but I am wondering if will be too windy outdoors for candles. For those of you that had outdoor receptions, how did your candles hold up, and what kind did you use? It would be a bummer to have all kinds of candles and then not be able to keep them lit.
  16. I have some hyperpigmentation, but its mostly in the form of freckles on my upper cheeks and near my eyes. I had my second (in a series of three) photofacials (IPL) done yesterday. I definitely saw some results after the first one. My dermatologist recommended a higher "dosage" for my second treatment. My freckles are definitely darket today. They get darker and then fall off in about a week (at least that's what happened the first time). Hopefully I will see better results this second time around. I'm also starting Obagi-C RX skin care line, which is supposed to help with hyperpigmentation and overall skin tone. It supposedly entails some peeling and a process of cell turnover, which I am not looking forward to. I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
  17. For some reason, I'm finding it very hard to find some good photos for wedding makeup for inspiration. I'm Korean, so I'm specifically looking for Asian makeup ideas! Thanks for any help you can provide!
  18. I've been looking for the ring orb EVERYWHERE!!! Everyday Artifacts only has them in purple, or blue exterior with purple interior. When did you contact them? They told me that they were no longer making the copper/blue and I was SOOOOO SAD!
  19. I've been communicating with Martha over the past couple of months. She has been nothing but HELPFUL and responsive getting back to me with my zillions of questions. I'm looking at somewhere between $1500-$2000 for a bouquet, boutonierre, 2 huge ceremony arrangments and 4 reception arrangements.
  20. Apparently there's a place called Desire Resort near Dreams. It's supposedly a swingers resort that is clothing optional? Anyone have any insight into this place or how close in proximity to Dreams it is? All I need is my mom to have a heart attack in Cabo!
  21. I'm paying $450 for mine (hemming, bustle, cups added). It is expensive, but you also have to consider the time and labor that goes into altering a gown. I thought my alterations wouldn't be very expensive, but I wasn't aware of the amount of work that went into the hemming (a complicated seam with very thick fabric). If you think about it, would you really trust your local dry cleaner for your alterations? Sure, they'd probably be a LOT less, but who knows what you'd end up with. I'm ok with paying for my alterations because I know what I'll be getting in the end. I'm 100% confident in my seamstress (she's an old Italian lady that worked with Neimans and Chanel for over 20 years). Is it more than I expected to pay? Yes. Is it worth the peace of mind? Definitely!
  22. Can anyone confirm if the Honeymoon Suite is nicer than the Governor's Suite? On the Dreams site, the Honeymoon suite seems to be pricier than the Governors. However on other sites, the Governor's suite is more expensive. My parents want to upgrade us, but are unsure which one to book.
  23. Thanks for the info ladies. It's annoying that everything is quoted in USD and then you're billed in pesos. Why not just quote in pesos to begin with?
