  1. This is a random question, but how did you pay for all your services coordinated through the WC at Dreams (pp setup fees for the ceremony/reception, linens, flowers, mariachis, etc)? Did you just keep a tally and then was it added to your room? Or did you have to pay for everything beforehand? I'm keeping a running spreadsheet, but was wondering how it was handled by other brides.
  2. Yarai sent me some additional photos of Pinata Terrace. Hope this helps folks trying to decide...

  4. I bought one of these breathable wedding gown bag/covers for the flight. It's great. Not too thick, but definitely thick enough. It's made of a breathable cotton material, so no yellowing either. Its also long enough for most wedding gowns. 5. Thanks Vari! I'm going to ask Yarai at Dreams if there's another event going on that evening. My wedding is on a Tuesday, so hopefully not! Thanks again!
  6. I found this photo online, and am curious if this is Pinata Terrace. For those folks that have been to Dreams, please help We're scheduled to have our reception at Oceana, but am thinking this might work better (and better view) for our party of 12.
  7. I wanted to bring this thread back to life. We're not doing a site visit, so I'm hoping other Dreams brides will chime in with their menu choices. I'm thinking the ravioli and beef wellington so far. I wonder why the surf and turf has gotten such mixed reviews.

  9. I found this video on getmarried.com If your WC is Yesica, she makes an appearance on the video towards the end! Travel Pages_Resort_Professionals
  10. That's great to know Tammy! Well, I'm getting conflicting information about the sunset in July (some say its 7PM, some say its 8PM). We wanted ample time for photos, so we were thinking about having our ceremony at about 4-5PM at the gazebo. It's just the two of us and our families, so no groomsmen or bridesmaids. I really hope there's a breeze that day.
  11. If you got married in Cabo during the summer months, was it impossible to not look completely sweaty in your wedding photos? LOL. Did you keep makeup on hand? A fan? Umbrella? Any tips would be appreciated!
  12. I've attached the specs for reception tables at Dreams, if anyone was considering bringing their own linens. tables.xls
  13. I found this site, which says that sunset in July 2008 is right around 7PM, and another site that says the sunset is at 8PM. OY! Who is right 2008 July Sunrise and Sunset - Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico in Mexico http://sunrisesunset.com/calendar.asp
  14. These glass hurricanes would also go nicely! Level Glass Hurricane at Wrapables - Pillar & Taper Holders
  15. These sea urchin vases are really cute if you're looking for beachy decor: Sea Urchin Bud Vases (set of 3) at Wrapables - Bud Vases
  16. Are these only available to professional photographers, Sarah?
  17. Does anyone happen to know the size of the rectangular reception tables at Dreams? Or, are ivory linens available at Dreams?
  18. I'm looking for this dress made by BCBG. I've looked EVERYWHERE, and the only place that currently seems to have it is Nordstrom, but it's backordered until 5/30/08. I want to wear it to our engagement party and then when we officially get married at the courthouse. Please, please, if anyone knows where I can get one (size 0) or has one they'd be willing to part with I'd be forever grateful. Here's a link to the dress on nordstrom.com and a photo as well. Thanks for any help! BCBGMAXAZRIA Strapless Appliqué Dress - - Nordstrom
  19. Thanks Tara. How many guests are you expecting?
  20. These are fantastic!! I'm sorry, but can you post the link on how to make these? I searched but couldn't find it. Do you just wrap the handles in ribbon and then glue the flower?
  21. We'll be getting married at Dreams on July 22, 2008! So far, I've done absolutely nothing! Luckily, I only have about 10 guests to worry about, so it shouldn't be too bad. Do you guys think I should hire an outside coordinator? We're having a symbolic ceremony, so I'm not sure if it's necessary. I spoke with Maye Cortinas, and she told me that Dreams will only set up the basic table linens, etc but won't set up anything above that. Is that true? I'm sure I could get my mom to set up the flowers, etc. How much should I expect from my Dreams WC? Will they coordinate flowers for you? Also, does the officiant speak English? Sorry, I'm kind of thinking out loud right now!
  22. For those of you that just had a symbolic ceremony, did you find that you didn't need an outside wedding coordinator?
  23. I pretty much know the pros and cons to both sides...just wondering if most folks had a legal ceremony or a symbolic one.
  24. For those of you that got married at Dreams with a symbolic ceremony, how much of it were you able to personalize? Is there a standard cermony format that they follow that you can add onto or change? Also, the symbolic ceremony would be performed in English, right?
