  1. Right handed, but I wish I was left handed so I could be a little bit more artistic. What is your favorite Friday night activity?
  2. I agree with Yari. The corset back is very flexible, if you choose the size carefully likely not much alteration will be needed.
  3. Sorry to hear that, I went through that before and it was not a great feeling. But something better always come around, and now you can look for something you like this time.

My answer - money! so I can buy whatever I want later..
  5. Buyers market - I hope everything works out for you! Crossing fingers..
  6. My dress has a corset back too like yous so I took a chance and ordered the size that matched me perfectly on the chart. The corset back worked beautifully and I didn't have to do any alteration at all. So for example a size 8 will really work for sizes between 6 and 10 without any alterations. If you have a target of what size to get to, maybe order a size bigger than that? Really pay attention to Maggie Sottero's sizing chart since every vendor is different, and it is definitely different from what you would wear on a daily basis.
  7. Yes, I called them over the phone and they just asked me what was the lowest price I got and immediately offered 6% off that price. I didn't even have to show anything to them. The dress came in less than three months, before the date they quoted me. I ordered petite and w/ a 3-in heel the length was perfect (I'm 5'4").
  8. I ordered a Maggie Sottero dress too. I called Lee Philips Bridal which offered the lowest price for the dress ($692 vs. $1000+ before tax in Texas). I then took that price to Christy O Bridal shop and they beat the price by 6%. Christy O is an authorized bridal shop and it is actually in NJ. I am not sure which bridal shop you're going to but you should check them out since it is local to you. And I thought in NJ you don't have to pay taxes? I didn't pay when I ordered from Christy O just $20 for shipping.

I actually live outside of Austin right now but love that city and is looking for a job to move back there. We go to Austin pretty much every weekend, there're just so much more to do there. You can go hiking at Greenbelt area and there're other places too. But that's where we go most often to go rock climbing. We've been going w/ friends in the past for outdoor and then indoor ourselves. But we just bought all the gear ourselves and now the weather is perfect we'll be going there pretty much every weekend, so excited!
  11. Lake Tahoe was on top of my list too. I also like Seattle, Portland areas as well. It will be cool in August. Also you can consider Crater Lake Oregon. I heard that Oregon is beautiful and I can't wait to visit there and hike around. Paul originally wanted to take a trip there to propose to me but with his traveling schedule it didn't work out
  12. Love them all, they all look so perfect! You're gonna have a great wedding, everyone is going to enjoy what you have done/made for them!!
  13. So sorry you ladies have to go through all of these trouble for us, I really appreciate what you have done. I hope the other girls on this forum see the trouble we're going through and stop their orders from this dealer. This is just so un-ethical. Anything we can help just let us know.
  14. Have a great time and can't wait to see ur review and pics!!!
  15. So late to this thread, but big THANKS to Carly and Trisha again! Can't wait to hear about the update and see my order soon..
  16. These questions are for the past brides that got married in Jamaica and hired a steel drum band - 1. What kind of music do they play? Is it mainly Reggae music or mix? 2. Did you hire them for ceremony or reception or both? I have read the mentioning of steel drum band in some the reviews and am thinking about hiring one too but want to see if it will be worthwhile. Thanks!
  17. That was one amazing wedding/vacation you had! Everything looks so beautiful. Thanks for the review and sharing the pics. Congratulations again!!
  18. Most of our guests will be going for 5 days 4 nights. A few are going for 3 nights. A lot of resorts are requiring min of 3 night stay only.
  19. I am asian and my face turns red with just one drink everytime. My chest gets blochy if I continue to drink and it itches really bad. When I left Ohio after graduation to move down to Texas, I had two Vodka + Cranberry juice w/ my friend and my whole chest/tummy stayed blotchy for three days! I was really suffering and really controlled myself w/ how much I drink. Now I can be a designated driver whenver needed
  20. Welcome back and big congrats! Looking forward to the pics and the review!!!
  21. Great dress at a GREAT price! Can't wait to see pics of you in your dress..
  22. Surprising we don't have more teachers or finance people. I work in a factory manufacturing electroni controllers for automotives. My job function is working with design to introduce new products into the factory - project management type of work. Paul does management consulting. We're both looking for new jobs actually but the whole industry is not doing so well. So we're just grateful that we have a job.
  23. What is the material for the canvas tote everyone has been ordering? Is it cotton or poly?
  24. Everything looked so beautiful, congratulations!
