  1. Tami that ring is going to look beautiful. I love the uniqueness of it!
  2. Hi Talia - Welcome to the forum! I am getting married at Dreams too in August of '08. We are using Michael Maurus for out photographer. Here is his link... Wedding Photographer for Cancun, Riviera Maya We also had our travel agent negotiate a group rate for the hotel for our guests because we will have close to 75-100 people joining us. Good luck with your planning!! - Jenn
  3. Have a great trip and wedding Katherine! So many Dreams Cancun girls are getting married this month. I'm starting to feel left out since I'm not getting married till 10 months from now!
  4. Have a great wedding Jill! Can't wait to hear all about it!
  5. Shelley, I think its very admirable of you two to put yourselves first and do what is right for both of you, not everyone else. Your wedding day will be perfect when it comes because you both made the decision together and were honest with each other. You guys should definitely do somethng together that day. Sending a big hug your way...
  6. Love the first White House/Black Market dress!! Kinda looks like my real wedding dress. Good luck finding something you like!

I'm pretty sure that we will be having a beach reception, if not it will be in the garden. I'd love to be on the beach but was thinking that the sand may make things uncomfortable for people. I'm waiting to hear how Susan's beach reception turned out before making my final decision. I know in August, when we are getting married, the sun sets at about 7:30. From what I've heard it gets dark pretty quickly once this time comes. For some reason there is no such thing as "dusk" in Cancun.

Did you have to let them know who was having what ahead of time?

Yes, you have the option of a plated or buffet dinner. I don't think that their is a price difference however your choice is limited. I believe you have to serve the same thing to everyone if you get a plated dinner whereas with the buffet there is more variety of what is being served. Hope this helps.
  11. Have a great trip!! Can't wait to hear every last detail about your wedding when you get back.
  12. Congratulations Susan! So happy that everything was wonderful. Enjoy the "real" honeymoon!
  13. Congratulations Susan and Matt! Can't wait to see your pictures!

  15. I'm in the same boat ladies...my sympathies are with you! I have to say that he's great with maintaining the outside of the house but once he steps through that door all hell breaks loose. Like Liz I used to be a clean freak but once we moved in together I learned that I had to chill out or we'd never make it. I'm much better now but I still have my days when I come home and freak out. Seems to be once a month and correlates to PMSing! Is there really a need to have 3 pairs of shoes in the den It's not like he has 6 feet!
  16. Congrats and welcome! I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you with your questions. It sounds like an awesome plan!

Be careful I just received info from Dreams where I was looking and there almost $700 in fees for translation of documents, blood test @ $300 etc. Also, for it to be a legal wedding in Mexico the ceremony must be in spanish with a judge translating into English. Good Luck! I'm pretty sure these fees are for anywhere in Mexico but I could be wrong. That's why a lot of us Mexico brides are choosing to get married legally at home before heading down to our weddings. Dreams can do an English ceremony though I triple confirmed it.
  18. Welcome! Do you know where you are getting married yet? Would be funny if it was at Dreams too since I'm getting married the day before you! I wanted 8/8/08 but it was already booked. Have fun planning!
  19. That dress is really pretty! I'm thinking you may want to pass on the flowers if you're wearing the veil you have on in the pic though. It might get tangled up on the flowers and not lay right. Now if you're not wearing the veil the flowers may look really cute especially if you have flowers in your hair too. )
